Used to love Casey's but the quality and cleanliness has gone down lately. The pizza just isn't what it was.

A lot of people hear "chain restaurant" and immediately assume it won't be very good, but North Italia is honestly one of the exceptions. I didn't even realize it was a chain at first, and I was surprised to learn it's owned by the same company behind The Cheesecake Factory. Nothing against Cheesecake Factory, I love it too but "chain" can sometimes create the wrong impression. The food at North Italia feels authentic and easily holds its own against the other high-end Italian restaurants in town. The cocktails are excellent, the food is consistently top-notch, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. On top of that, the atmosphere is warm, stylish, and makes it a great place for anything from date night to brunch with your family.

I've been for dinner and brunch and every time and without fail the food is amazing, the staff is wonderful and knowledgeable, and you can't beat the ambience! I love the fact the indoor space has such a large bar with lots of seating. I'm excited for the warmer weather to partake in the beautiful outdoor space. Plenty of seating! This is such a great addition to Village Point!

Piezons what a great experience. We were meeting some friends at their place for dinner and ordered…read morepick up. Got there a little early and was greeted by staff and told it would just be a couple more minutes. No worries got some pictures and watched the staff cook and get orders made. We got 2 pizzas and a calzone. We got a sausage and peppers and the Ducci and my wife did a build your own calzone. The pizza is great good amount of toppings but not too much, flavorful sauce, crust has a nice crisp but still has that chew you want. The calzone was fantastic, definitely 2-3 meals worth of food, filled with cheese and toppings my wife loved it and so did I the next day. The inside had multiple tables and a bar inside. Kinda unique with writings on the wall. A little lot by the ovens but love the open concept. One of my favorite pizza spots in Omaha. We will definitely be back.

Ordered carry-out from Piezon's this evening…read more You know how pizzarias sometimes give you a bogus 40-minute wait time and then when you show up, your pizza has been in the warming oven forever? Not the case at Piezon's. I arrived five minutes early, waited five minutes, and there it was. That said, my portobello fries were being boxed up when I arrived, so, I feared for the worst. Not a problem. When I got in the car, the starving occupants immediately dove in. The "fries" were hot, they were crunchy, they were delicious! I could eat these all day, but hold that ranch dressing and give me a salt packet or two. I loved these! That well-timed pizza, well, it cooled significantly in a four-mile drive home, and when we opened the box, the pizza was just a little less than inviting. This was a black olive/mushroom pizza. Lots of olives, so thumbs up to that. Razor-thin mushrooms though didn't add much to the experience. And cheese, well, I like a little pull to the bite, and that wasn't happening here. Not enough cheese? Wrong cheese? Not a lot of flavor. Crust? Also not a lot of flavor. Not a lot of crunch or chew, and the sauce is spread pretty thin. I "think" the sauce had good flavor, but if I tried this place again, I might diner in, get extra sauce, extra cheese and extra mushrooms ... that's a lot of extra just to make it basic. I did hear though, that if you dine in, they have a fantastic margarita! (The drink, not the pizza.)

That first impression matters. Our server Paul was a true professional. The best way I can describe him is that he represents what hospitality should be. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. His wine recommendation of a Barbera d'Asti with the braised beef completely surprised me in the best way. What really impressed me was Jen checking back in after seating us to help get our toddler's order in quickly. She read the situation perfectly while we were managing both kids. That awareness is what separates good service from great service. Highlights from dinner: Squid ink tagliarini with crab (fantastic depth of flavor) Braised beef (comforting and refined at the same time) Pizza that made our 2-year-old very happy Excellent wine guidance from Paul The service honestly reminded me of Michelin experiences I've had -- not because of formality, but because of how intentional and thoughtful everything felt. This was hands down one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in Omaha.

Some slices were great, though a few had burnt crust. We came back another time to check out their happy hour. The drinks and food we ordered were fine, nothing special, and it took quite a while for the food to come out. Their happy hour ends at 5, which felt a little early. Overall, the ambiance is nice, and it's a solid spot, but given all the hype we'd heard, we expected to be a little more impressed.
