Margarita Flight: Strawberry Mango Prickly Pear Cucumber

Vibe: Casa Valencia's a sneaky gem. Feels a little bougie, but in a good way -- like you're winning at life without spending half your paycheck. Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 This place kinda caught me off guard. Drove here expecting your standard Tucson taco joint, and boom -- suddenly I'm in this sleek, upscale spot that feels like you should be wearing a blazer or something. Not in a bad way though. Just... nicer than I was ready for. Started with the margarita flight -- smart move. The cucumber one was Unreal. Tasted like someone took a spa day, bottled it, and hit it with a tequila shot. Little sweet, but the tajin on the rim balanced it out. Plus, they hit you with free chips and salsa, which is honestly the way to my heart. Food was solid. The Seared Tuna Coquetas were crispy, tasty, and just fancy enough to make me feel like I know what I'm doing with my life. Two large piece of sliced tuna on a crispy chip thing with a pile of guac and a creamy sauce. Seared. The Ribeye Aguachile was bold, spicy, and way better than I expected. Honestly, I'd go back just for that. We also had pulpo which was cooked just right so that it is not chewy. The bartender was chill -- super attentive without hovering, which is a tough balance to strike. Prices weren't bad either, especially for how swanky the place feels.

Beautiful establishment. Decorated really nice. Staff were all very attentive. The food was delicious and came out great. The appetizers were mouthwatering. Our meals were delicious. Very tasty and very good portions. The restroom was clean and smelled good. I definitely recommend this place.

What I love about this restaurant is their service!!! Every time I go there, service is top notch. My favorite dish here definitely is shrimp culichi. I've tried shrimp culichi at 5 other places in Tucson but in my opinion Casa Valencia had the best one! Restaurant is very spacious and nicely decorated. Oh, can't forget to mention their band on Friday!!! The singer is amazing and so are the guitarists!

Very good food! I love their Mariscos and other food choices. Prices are reasonable and the location is well kept and safe. I highly recommend it. Their service was very courteous. :). The ambiance was happy and welcoming.

A cool spot on the southside of Tucson. I buy coffee nearby pretty often, but didn't know such a gem was around. I got the Diablo Shrimp and it was tastey. The spice level wasn't an option, but it was perfect for me. The server was fast and polite. What was cool about the place was how so many large families got together to eat here. The place has reasonable prices. Definitely check this place out.

we got Lupita as our server and she was such a great server with us very attentive to our table and made my order to perfection after I told her I did not like tomatoes. it's such a fancy Mexican seafood restaurant.

Margarita flight! Tasty!

Second time we've stopped by for a late lunch and had a terrific meal! Servers in the bar area were so nice and the raw oysters - fantastic! Today, we also tried the grilled octopus with garlic sauce... I will DEFINITELY order that again. It was perfectly cooked, flavorful and filling. And, if you are in the mood, try the variety flight of margaritas... terrific!

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. I look forward to seeing where this place goes. It has a ton of potential for special events with the basement area. P.s. It's also a boutique hotel. You could always book a room and enjoy dreams downstairs without having to drive

It feels intimate, almost cinematic. You're not walking into a bright sports bar; you're stepping into a moody, low-lit cocktail lounge built for conversation and slow evenings. The space has character: exposed wood beams, a long bar lined with bottles, soft pools of light over booths, and a relaxed, unhurried energy. It feels tucked away, which adds to the appeal. And while the lighting sets the mood, the drinks are what make it worth staying. Well-crafted, balanced, and clearly made by bartenders who take pride in their work. Strong without being sloppy. Justin handled all the tables, making sure to check on us, too. These drinks are innovative, thoughtful, and aesthetically pleasing in a way that leaves you excited for more and expands one's idea of a well-made libation. Inspired by a medley of global flavors, Juniper started off as a side project from a local brewery and unexpectedly exploded into a swanky hangout with zero seats left open on weekend nights. Yes, virtually everything on the menu is gin-based. But that shouldn't scare you away! Gin is essentially a neutral spirit infused with botanicals and/or citrus, so if you had a bad experience with one brand, there will be another out there you'll fall in love with. Elliott, the General Manager of the bar, elevates the passionate curation of his menu to perfection. Here are some examples of what you might fall in love with: Balzy Maracuya: A 'maracuya' is a passion fruit beverage originating from South America. In this drink, fruity flavors are enhanced with popping boba filled with balsamic vinegar. Botanist: Upscale gin and tonic with thyme, rosemary, and star anise. Cronus Punch: Rum punch lovers will be blown away by the rare sighting of clarified gin On special ocassions, you'll find limited edition items like gin sorbet affogatos and horchata martinis. At the turn of each new year, there's a menu rotation that may sadly remove some of my faves. But here, at Juniper I can guarantee two things: Something uniquely enjoyable, and a gracious staff that will be happy to explain the intricacies of lesser-known spirits on the shelf. In 2026, I predict it will remain one of Tucson's hottest cocktail hangouts.

I'd had dinner a couple times in the restaurant for my birthday and had the cheese wheel fettuccine alfredo. I asked if anyone was interested in trying it and so 3 of us split it which ended up being pretty perfect. It is hands down THE BEST fettuccine alfredo. We had many drinks come to our table, the first round being the homemade limoncello. Made with local Meyer lemons, it is deliciously potent. A must try. The bartender, Ryan or Brian, he made cocktails from the heart. A couple of gals ordered "dealer's choice" drinks and they were inspired by the drinker's stories. It was really a unique experience for them and I could almost see his mind working out the chemistry of the libations. Another must try, although I didn't because I had to drive myself home. I did have a coffee with Bailey's, Amaretto, and freshly-made whipped cream. Last must try if not on a coffee drink maybe on a dessert. One person in our party thought that the drinks were on the spendy side. Many of the ingredients were house made and all top shelf. I'm from Los Angeles so an $18 drink was a normal night at the klerb. Worth mentioning if that would be a deal breaker. Worth a go. I thought it was better than the speakeasy at the Sonoran House which was too bright and not intimate. You really like feel more like you're not where you're supposed to be at The Still. There is a curio cabinet with cigars that I think are for sale. The speakeasy opens up to the patio for all the smoke suckers. Great for a small groups or date night, maybe not the first date.
