I found this spot on IG as I was looking up places to eat when visiting. I will say upfront, it was one of the best spots I visited during my stay. This spot checked all the boxes with the food, service, drinks, and vibe. We went about 1 p.m. so we greeted and seated promptly. Our server was very welcoming and attentive. I ordered a cocktail and it came in a beautiful glass with smoke inside a lantern. It tasted great too. I ordered a mango ceviche with cooked shrimp. It was so good! The juice in it was delicious. Sweet, tangy and spicy. I would have drank it but I was beyond full. She brought out tostadas and saltine crackers for our meals. They have a self serve salsa bar where you can grab your own salsa and cucumbers. They have neon signage everywhere with fun sayings. I took the Liberty of taking a photo by the mirror near the bathroom. I just had to. This place is IG worthy. Very instagramable. While there, someone was celebrating their birthday and they came out with beautiful Katrina mass and sparklers to serenade the birthday girl. That was fun to watch! Creatively presented food, large portions, and every dish ordered was flavorful! One of my favorite places to get corn ribs.. their complimentary salsa (with chips) is spicy, warm and addictive. We also ordered the El Tendedero, Ribeye, and Percheron. Everything was so good and leftovers were just as yummy. Service was super nice and take the time to answer questions about the menu. This restaurant is probably one of the best for Mariscos and the vibes. We came here for my daughter's 21st birthday and they made her feel so special with a free shot and birthday shoutout. We had great service. The waitress keep on checking on us. The food was served at good temperature, and it didn't take long to come out. The food was so delicious. That I even send compliments to the cook. The ribeye aguachile stake was cooked perfectly, it was just delicious. The molcahete sea food was loaded! The juice was perfect, not too much lemon not too heavy. The guacamole chicharrones were also at perfection, not too hard and difficult to chew, they were medium, not too soft and not too hard. Went and had dinner for the first time here and the vibe and ambience was fun and welcoming. Got to try out some of their drinks along with food. Service was excellent very attentive and friendly. The octopus we got was good but on the Spicy side so if you don't like heat I would say select another item. The Jamaica margarita was delicious and very dredging exactly what I needed. My hubby and I stopped here for a quick bite on our road trip to California, and it ended up being a solid mariscos stop. The restaurant is conveniently located about 5 miles off the 10 freeway, making it an easy detour if you don't want to stray far from your route. I ordered the Trio Aguachiles, which comes with approx a cup servings of green, red, and black aguachiles--perfect if you want to sample a bit of everything. The black aguachiles were by far the standout: bold, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. The red aguachiles leaned more toward a coctel profile, heavy on the Clamato, which wasn't quite what I was expecting. The green aguachiles were fresh but unfortunately very bland, lacking salt and seasoning. I ended up adding my own spices and mixing them with the black aguachiles. I wouldn't recommend ordering the green aguachiles on their own. My husband ordered the Cheto Roll and the Valencia Roll. The flavors were good overall, but both rolls were a bit rice-heavy and could have more filling to better balance each bite. The ambience was a pleasant surprise--moody music at a comfortable volume, a clean and luxe feel, and attentive, friendly waitstaff throughout our visit. Prices felt fair for what you get. Overall, this is a great stop for a mariscos fix while traveling, especially if you want something convenient and don't want to steer too far off your route. We were driving through Tucson and saw this place. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but nice on the inside. I got enchiladas with red sauce and the hubs got chicken mole. Both were excellent. Loved the salsa they served with the chips too. Kinda disappointed that I ordered my enchiladas with flour instead of corn tortillas and they gave me corn. Still delicious though. I absolutely love the decor in this restaurant! We came for Sunday lunch at about 1:45PM and it was very busy. Despite the mixed reviews, it is clear that folks really like this place. We had our drink menu, lunch menu and regular menu... lots of choices and some items were confusing to me but love the focus on flavor fusion here. We ordered some drinks - Mango Margarita (5 stars) and the Pinason. I think I was put off by the 'smoky' mezcal in the Pinason, otherwise I would have enjoyed. Chips/Salsa totally on point and our shrimp appetizer was fantastic. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos, I ordered the Chilaquiles from the lunch menu. Chilaquiles came with choice of meat (although I am not a fan of either with mine) and I went with Chicken when our server did not seem to understand I did not want meat (not an issue, my hubs will clean up) . So I hate to say that the Chilaquiles (red) had zero flavor. It was super odd, could not taste anything even though you could clearly see red sauce. Not sure what kind of chile they use. I ended up spicing up with some of the salsa on the table. Besides the Chilaquiles being a thumbs down, everything else was solid, including super friendly service! read more

We went to Bochas for the first time on Fathers Day, it wasn't busy at all yet the service was HORRIBLE! The menu was limited since it was Father's Day and there wasn't much options. We asked for napkins and the waitress literally came back with ONE NAPKIN. The food overall was alright but more "for show" than for the actual taste and quality. Portions were small but very pricey. The tortillas that came with our food were cold and falling apart. The chips that came with the chips and salsa were stale. This wouldn't be a place for children as they do not offer a kids menu. Again this place is more for the "aesthetic look" ... I'd recommend Casa Valencia over this place any day. read more

She asked if we had a reservation, we said no..didn't think we needed one on a random Thursday night ? She told us to wait & we did, for a good while-mind you the restaurant was EMPTY! The atmosphere is so amazing and honestly a really great place just to go and hang out for a couple of drinks. But don't get me started on the food oh my gosh, one of the best authentic Mexican meal I've had here in Tucson.. the flavor packs of punch it's so delicious even the leftovers at home still taste the same. If you have any leftover. I do think they can work on the language barrier a little better. As well as letting the server know that we understand this is their job but. With the prices they charge they should leave the plastic container at the salsa bar, what's the point of having. Salas bar if you can get two? The food and drinks are pretty good. Comes with complimentary chips and salsa. The price is on the higher end, but you're also paying for presentation. This place gave me food poisoning! I swear I'm not making it up, but I recently ate here and was sick all night after doing so. I ordered their campechana and it ended up being thrown up and the leftovers being thrown out. The food was not worth the nightly torment nor was the almost two hundred dollars spent. I didnt hate it, it was just different. The Levanta Muertos (Cocteleria) was listed as Very Spicy but wasnt even close to spicy when i received it. I told my waitress that it was kinda disappointing so she brought out a shot glass of something that was supposed to make it spicy and it was exactly what it needed. They've completely lost me as a customer. It was my first time going and my last. I rarely leave any reviews, and especially negative ones, but after my experience, I had no choice. It took 35 minutes for my 2 orders of grilled fish tacos to come out fired... it then took another 25 minutes for my grilled tacos to come out grilled. At that point, I was past my lunch break and late for work, so I got them to go. Knowing they messed up my order and made me late on my lunch break, I assume they would remove the items off of my bill, but sure enough they did not. I still tipped 20% because I never know if it's the kitchen's fault or the server, but as a restaurant establishment, they should've comped that meal, charged me for the other items and made it right. I really want to like this place because it's so cute and has a good ambience but the service just isn't good it definitely needs work. It takes way too long for you to get your drinks even the water I asked for took too long and I had to remind the server I needed water. They also insisted we buy water bottles because their water spout wasn't working I guess but the server couldn't give us a straight answer at first on why we couldn't just get tap water. I celebrated my birthday here I enjoy the birthday song and dessert they did it was nice. The food is also good and the drinks are good too. It's the servers there that need work, which could be done. I hope they figure it out. read more

The ambiance of this place is super cool! The drinks they display on social media are super pricey. I went solely based on their social media and the pictures they present (I know, lol) and tried the hot Cheeto roll and a tempura roll with carne asada. Both rolls were a miss and about $18 ea. The food and drinks are waaaaaay over priced . Ordered for two people and a 3 yr old and it was more then 100$ ! Not including tips. The worst service and food ever The shrimp breading was black underneath. Margarita's were had a lot of concentrate and hardly any liquor at all. The drink hurt my chest and my stomach couldn't finish drinking it. The service was terrible from the moment we walked in, as seen in other experiences they seemed less than thrilled to see us. As 3 of the servers were standing in the bar area just talking we waited to be seated (as the front sign said to) and they even looked confused as to why we were there. Once sat as speaking to Lucero it's like she kinda paid more attention to her ear piece than us. As excited as we were to eat here even asking questions about the menu they didn't have the answers, the presentation of the restaurant is beautiful but they would do better with staff that actually seemed to want to be there. We waited about 45 minutes in to get my daughters sprite & my dads beer, anytime we asked of something it seemed to be forgotten, as much as we wanted to like the place I'd definitely give it a 5 for presentation, 3 for food & -1 for service. If you go hopefully you get a better experience, good luck! My wife's words, I on the other hand would not have been so nice & a lot more blunt. Worst experience ever. Save your money. What a treat this place was. Best Mexican food I've had since back in AZ. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the Mexican music and decor. It felt like we were back in Playa Del Carmen 20 years ago. My fish tacos were excellent and the toppings bar has no shortage of hot sauces, and all the fresh additives. This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Tucson.
