Best place to eat in Sandusky. This will be our new place to eat whenever we are in Sandusky.

Great food. Great price. Had an issue with getting dirty napkins. But probably just someone trying not to waste them and not realizing it was dirty. Not that that's a GREAT excuse. But it was a good experience none the less. This is my choice Mexican place in NoVa. read more

We just had dinner here after spending the day at Cedar Point. Everything was delicious and the service was prompt and courteous. It was a much better place to eat than one of the junk food emporiums within the park. Definitely go! read more

We were in from Chicago visiting Cedar Point and saw the good reviews here on Yelp. You can believe them all. The place was a little busy, but still great service. Their margaritas were awesome. They definitely did not skimp on the tequila! Their salsa and chips were authentic, not out of a bag/jar. We had the quesa fandito for an appetizer-out of the world! I then had the steak and chicken fajitas. This was probably the weakest item I had, although was still very good. Atmosphere was authentic, and service was great. I definitely will be going here again if I'm back in town. read more

Loved it! Great prices! Great food! What else do you need? Specials are like $4, and the bean/cheese dip is great. read more

Sandusky, OH's best Mexican, and open a little later than most places in the area. The food is really homey and delicious. Vegetarian options are really good. Margaritas are tasty, too. The service is pretty good. Friendly people who take the time to listen. Will certainly be back. read more

Rude service. Got a take out order of chips & salsa and cheese dip ,30 minutes before closing. .iit was just ok.....

Great change of pace from the burgers and fries at the theme park. Colorful, cute place for the whole family. Fresh, authentic Mexican fare. read more

Amazing food, great service, and for the kids coke in glass bottles. I would eat here again.

Traveled from Texas to come to cedar point! Found this place on Yelp. Said to be the best Mexican food around. Ordered a two hard taco plate with beans and rice, asked our waitress of the "hard tacos" we're fried hard shell tacos (meaning not boxed). She brought my plate out within 5 minutes or ordering and the tacos were definitely boxed shells you'd get from Taco Bell. The beans and rice we're good and my boyfriend ordered the Ohio special which had, two enchiladas, a wet burrito.... Which he shared with me and it was all very good. So, overall, their food was pretty good. Employees just apparently aren't very knowledgable on proper Mexican food. read more

My favorite Mexican restaurant in town! Very tasty food. The best part though is the service. Love this place!

Carnitas and Chorizo were fantastic! The only issue I had was with the retried beans they were extremely runny. Beer selection wasn't great but tequila is always a nice substitute!! read more

Amazing authentic Mexican food. We are here twice in two days. Very good Fajitas but the wet burrito was amazing. The vegetarian wet burrito is so good I cannot describe it with words. Great fried ice cream as well as the guacamole. The staff was super friendly, fast and awesome!!!! read more

Most Mexican restaurants have a cookie cutter menu. Thankfully Casa Real has a few variations. But they still have all the standards you expect. We had the Wet Burrito and the Vegetable Fajita. Both were appealing and tasty. The decor was colorful but the space is small - don't expect much privacy. If we are in the mood for Mexican food I would go back. That's my final verdict for most places, would I go back there. read more

Authentic, clean Mexican food. Server was nice, food came out fast and fair price. If I had to complain, I thought the salsa was a little blend. Still very good experience! read more

Not bad at all for Midwest Mexican food. The service was great and the carnitas were good. The fancy big seafood dish was good too. Nice ambiente! read more

Nothing special. More than one bowl of chips cost extra money. Servings were small. The food was okay but not great!

Kind of your generic Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa on the table, ultra fast service, patio seating, quantity over quality Mexican food. I'm not saying it was bad, I ate my entire meal, but it's the same kind of thing you get at any ole place. The wait-staff was super nice. They did screw up my order (I got beef instead of veggitarian), but it happens. 4/5 yelps. Worth a visit. read more

Tasty tex-mex near Cedar Point. Very nice prices and the food is good! Enjoy!

I guess this I just your typical Mexican place. Food was pretty good, however the service was lacking. There were nice and all, food was brought out quick but for whatever reason we had to wait and then ask for our check even after being asked if we were done. read more

This place had really great food! Was pleasantly surprised and it was right next to our hotel. We took a chance on this place and I'm glad we did. My fiancee and I both got the cheesesteak quesadilla. I got the steak and she got chicken. They were so good! Would definitely come back here. read more

Went there with my wife and 3 kids (13 to 6 years old) after a long day at Cedar point. We're pretty particular about food, and were absolutely thrilled. Excellent salsa and chips, the drinks weren't watered down, great taste and portions, and the staff were smiles and attentive. I was planning on going back the next night if the rest of the family would have done mexican 2 nights in a row! Absolutely recommend it. read more

2nd best mexican food in sandusky next to my Mothers. Don't fill up on chips in salsa, you'll regret it. I highly recommend the Molcajete. It comes out sizzling hot. I always seem to get this as its my favorite. The rice is something to be questioned though... I never could understand why mexican restaurants could never seem to make spanish rice the right way. read more

Was not disappointed so glad our hotel was literally across the street from this gem! I honestly don't care about atmosphere unless it's not clean of course. This place was a little tack in its colorful booths and beer signs but that's to be expected in a lot of American Mexican restaurants and did not bother me. Now for the past that matters food and service. Both excellent! I had quesadilla fajitas, salsa and Guacamole were excellent too. Prices were great $10 fajitas, they had meals for 2 under $20. Even $6 20 oz margaritas and $18 pitchers of margaritas. I wish this place wS by my house! read more

Casa Real - Brightly colored booths - Mexican Near Me - Sandusky, Ohio

Some of the best mexican food around. Very authentic. As long as you come atleast an hour or two before cedar point closes it's a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. Some of the servers were new so I won't fault them to much on a few hiccups, like a forgotten water or food given to wrong people at the tables. Easy switch. Very happy with this place. read more

This place was pretty great! The food was delicious and our waiter was good. Before driving through this city, I did not realize that Sandusky was a small town with nothing big expect Cedar Point. But this restaurant was amazing! read more

One of the best Mexican places I've had. Staff was friendly enough. They seemed really focused on getting you in and out of there. Not to say that they're overly pushy, they just get things done fast. Your order is out within 10/15 minutes. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who's a fan of good Mexican food. read more

This war our first time here be we have great time it was a busy night but we were hoot with the service .most Mexican restaurant have a cookie cutter said m by food we really good read more

When I come to Sandusky every few months, I make it a point to come here. Had the lunch chicken fajita and it was very good-fresh vegetables, and a generous portion of chicken breast. Delicious! The prices are very reasonable and the waiter was attentive in service. read more

My fiance proposed to me at Casa Real... we eat there regularly and the food is awesome. We especially like the fajitas and the Mexican Pizza is great too. We always split a half pitcher of frozen Margarita, which deffinitely are made strong. It will take us years to eat the entire menu, because we already have too many favorites. The Wet Burritos... delish!!!! DO DO DO try Casa Real... it's all FAMILY owned and operated!!! read more

After a day at Put-In-Bay we arrived here around 8pm. We asked to be seated outside but it was closed. Service, at first, was speedy. The waitress got our drink and food orders very quickly. After that, we never saw her for the rest of the meal, until it was time for the check. This was understandable since she was waiting all the tables in the restaurant, but a water refill would've been nice. The chips weren't stale and the salsa was the best part of the meal. The enchiladas and chicken chimichangas we had were filling but bland. This restaurant is standard for most cheap Mexican restaurants, nothing special. read more

It was actually pretty good! I only have 4 stars because the salsa wasn't that good, but otherwise it was cheap, they had good guacamole, and it was fast. We stayed at the la quinta across the street, and now we know where to eat and stay whenever we find ourselves at cedar point! Can't wait to try the margaritas next time! read more

After a long day at Cedar Point watching the masses of people waste their money on expensive garbage. We decided to drive 10 minutes across the causeway to eat off park property and get something delicious and priced right. I must thank all of the people who gave honest reviews of this place giving me enough confidence to make a visit. The chips and salsa was excellent as well as each combo dinners my friend and I ordered. , Great service, friendly staff and great prices. With 4 and a half stars I want to assure anyone else visiting and reading this to save their appetite and try this place out. read more

When I came to Casa Real for my first time, I didn't like Mexican food. Now, I can't get enough of it. Their service is probably the best service I've ever gotten at a restaurant. My family and I went and ordered right away and we got our food in less than 10 minutes. Overall, Casa Real is one great restaurant. read more

We were passing through town & looked up Mexican food. We stopped in for lunch & this place was delicious! Everything tasted fresh. I wish there was one in my city! read more

This was our first time here and we were pleased. It was a busy night but we were happy with the service. The kids loved the flavored sodas and Oreo churros. read more

The food is okay. It is more expensive than the 1 I went to in Mansfield. Service is a B-. Not super friendly or attentive, but not horrible either. I guess they have good lunch weekday specials. read more

It's rare that I give such a good rating but I was very happy with the food, service and atmosphere. We were able to eat outside which was nice and the food was good quantities at reasonable prices. We will remember Casa Real when we are back for more Cedar Point! Keep up the good work Casa Real!! read more

I work in Sandusky every year for about a month. I make it a point to eat here at least once a week. Food is great as is the service. Their salsa is the best! Just the right amount of heat. read more

Awesome. We wanted mexican while staying at castaway bay and stumbled upon this place. Fantastic.
