amazing service. We sat down immediately and ordered our food, and the food came out to us in about 4 minutes. All of the food was fresh and hot. Fajitas were amazing and provided a lot of steak/chicken/shrimp and peppers. All in all, great service and food. I would choose that restaurant again in a heartbeat. read more

Service was fantastic. Being from California, I'm used to a little more authentic, but still not bad for what it was. The salsa in Vials leaned a little more to the Tex mex side, but meets somewhere in the middle. Overall it's not bad and was definitely worth a try. read more

Great food and fast service. We stopped in here after a day at Cedar Point for a quick meal. The chips and salsa were fresh and very good. My husband ordered a Mexican pizza and it was fantastic. I highly recommend. read more

3.5 - 4 stars. Great for if you're at the Kalahari for a convention or other nearby attractions. Delicious fajitas, and very polite service. read more

Its ok mexican food. In my opinion a little pricey for the quality and quantity of food.

Great mole poblano! Just like in ole Mexico. Seriously, not laden with sugar. Salsa chile de arbol on request. Big portions.

Honestly this is the worst Mexican food I've ever had. If you can really even call it Mexican in the first place. I ordered the 43 off the menu which was fajitas. The chips and salsa served before hand sucked the chips tasted old and the salsa was like tomato paste and water with some slight spice. When I finally got my food the steak chicken shrimp and sausage all tasted over cooked and soooo greasy the refried beans was nasty no shredded cheese jus all really bad experience and only three small soggy tortillas lmao I'll never come here again read more

This was a random find no doubt. The salsa was delicious...one of the best I've had at a Mexican joint. I ate a lot of chips just so I could eat more salsa. I got the wet burrito - it was quite good, I really like the seasoned beef and the enchilada sauce. The rice was also very tasty. I would have to say the margaritas were good but not great. The portions are not as big as what I am used to at similar Mexican restaurants, but not small by any means. One thing that bothered me is they have carpet and when a big group left they ran a vacuum cleaner after they left. It was noisy and a little strange for the middle of lunch time. Nice little quaint place though...the service was good too. read more

Hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Its not a fancy place, has a bar. Its next to a hotel and from the outside, looks kind of shady. I ordered takeout of the wet burrito and nacho with cheese. I have to say, I was surprised with the burrito. It was really good, came with rice. I give this place 3.5 star. I'd have to try other things on the menu to rate higher, but I'm just visiting. read more

Gotta be the best place to eat in Sandusky. For the price of Perkins down the street, you get an excellent, fresh Mexican meal with very fast service. Granted the place wasn't busy on a Monday night, but our food made it to the table in about 5 minutes. read more

Their tortilla chips with the exceptionally tasty salsa was amazing! Had the deluxe quesadillas which was pretty normal.

This place is not good. Terrible service, fulfilled the wrong order, took forever, basically violated every rule of waiting. I had tacos...they were a 3 out of 10. I ordered a pitcher of regular margaritas...it came back as a strawberry marg. not good. read more

This was a very brightly painted place inside and out, which reminded me of the Mexican Restaunant's of old Mexico, Great Job. I had a combo Plate a beef burrito and a beef Taco both was pretty good, I would have liked it a little more if it had a little more spice. My wife had a Chimichanga and the only thing she said was most places gave you two for that price not one. I liked the salsa and the chips, and I like the salsa cold and it was, we had a half picture of Margaritas, to go with the chips it was really smooth sailing, if you know what I mean. read more

good authentic flavors. casual atmosphere. quality food cooked with care for a reasonable price. i will go back when i visit cedar point.

Casa real has great service and the food is inexpensive. They serve you free chips and salsa and fill it up if you want more. I would go back if we come back In town. read more

We were on our way out of town and wanted Mexican. This place is great. Food was delicious and service was great!

Went with the family this past Friday evening - delicious! We sat outside and had drinks, chips and salsa along with entrees including fajitas, burritos and chimichangas. Super good and our server was a sweetheart! We will be back next year on our annual Cedar Point trip. read more

This has been our normal stop while in Sandusky. Was very disappointed today when we tried to get a table at 9:45. There were about 2 tables with customers outside and 7 or 8 tables with customers inside. The gentleman in front of us as well as ourselves were refused a table as they decided to close before their stated closing time of 10:00. Does not seem like the proper way to go about business, especially when there were plenty of customers in the establishment and they were clearly busy. We drove out of our way to patronize this restaurant, but will never be doing so again. read more

My husband and I LOVE this place. We love the food and the atmosphere. Good prices and plenty of food! If you like Mexican food definitely give this place a try. read more

Great place for some very good Mexican food. Excellent salsa as evidenced by fresh cilantro which is always a plus! We left happy.

If you are looking for delicious, authentic Mexican, this is the place to be! They serve you with complementary homade chips and salsa before your meal. Reasonably priced so you don't have to worry about that. Casa Real is the real deal when it comes to Mexican, it doesnt get any better! The service is excellent and the food is even better. I recommend Casa Real for anyone in the mood for a little taste of Mexico read more

I am local and have eaten at Casa Real many times, but after today it was the last time. We arrived a few minutes after their lunch hours were over and asked if we were still able to order off the lunch menu, they said no and I respect that. I had a coupon book, which as a local we receive a coupon book every month with different coupons and advertisements for local restaurants, which had a Casa Real ad in it. I received it this past week. In the Casa Real ad it states "We Honor Competitors' Coupons" and it does not say anything else or have any other caveats to it. There are 3 different Mexican restaurants that advertise in this ad one of them has a coupon for buy one dinner and receive the 2nd dinner for $2.99, so I removed that coupon from the book and handed it to our server. He said he did not know if I could use and left. 5 minutes later a lady came to our table (I have never seen this lady there before and have eaten at Casa Real at least 20 times in the last year) and she stated that we could not use this coupon as it was printed off directly by their competitor and not valid any more (the expiration date on the coupon is 9/30/2013), I advised her it came out of the same magazine that Casa Real advertises in, I then showed her where I had removed it from. She then stated that I had to buy dinners that were at least $8.99 each (no problem) and buy a drink with each meal. The coupon does not state that anywhere on it. She said that is how their coupons are, I showed her their coupon which only states "Buy one dinner, get 2nd one HALF OFF" and told her it does not state I have to buy drinks. She proceeds to point to the lunch coupon which does have the caveat of buying drinks, I politely told her that it was no longer lunch time as our server told us when we came in (I guess they do not like it when their own policies work against them) and that their ad says they accept competitors' coupons. She said they would not take the coupon. I advised her that I eat there pretty regularly and would not be back to eat there. I asked her how much I owed her for the tortilla chips and salsa and she said I didn't have to worry about (that was nice of her), my daughter, my father, and I promptly got up and left. Thanks Casa Real for being untruthful in your ads and getting steamed when your competitors' have better deals than you. I will take my patronage to Casa Fiesta and Nachos instead. Good day. read more

the food is awesome... authentic. very tasty. and fast. servicing size is good. love the margaritas, service is good. but would love a little more interaction from waiter read more

Good food. Great margarita. Reasonable prices. Our waiter though was just meh - perhaps he was having bad day but he came across as quite sullen - I'm not looking for a new best friend but a smile and a hello would have gone a long way. Overall, would go back again. read more

This is good Mexican food, the best in Sandusky, I know of, this Mexican is good not over the top, but I have gave it a 5 star, since it the best I Sandusky, I visited, the best Mexican in the area is in Huron Ohio, near sawmill creek and rye beach. read more

To start out the chips and salsa were spectacular, everyone in the group was very pleased with the great food and service! I would highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Love the queso dip and quesadilla.. and the servers are great! I've been here hundreds of times!

I guess they do not serve blacks. We stayed at the hotel across the street while visiting Cedar Point and decided to eat here, We literally sat there for 15 minutes and not one employee came over to seat us, they just looked at us and went on about their business. A group of white kids come in shortly after & are seated immediately. read more
