I love the décor throughout the restaurant, especially the colorful art on each of the table and chair. The menus cover a wide range of Mexican food and drinks. I went around lunch hour and got the lunch special Shrimp Fajita. The food came out piping hot and love the taste of some charred shrimp and the veggies. I also love their bean and rice. read more

I have been to this Mexican restaurant quite a few times and I always forget to write a review. # 25 Pollo Loco is my favorite. It's basically chicken and rice smothered in white cheese dip. Yummy! The service is always great and prompt and hilarious if you have a birthday at the table! read more

Food was bland and without any flavor, canned salsa has more flavor than what they gave us. Chips were without any salt, speaking of salt no condiments on table at all for teas or seasoning. Serving portions for price were sparse, no cheese on tacos and a tablespoon of lettuce. Chimichanga is a deep fried burrito, not a sloppy wet mess on a plate. Plates were piping hot only because everything is pre-cooked and microwaved. Had to ask for box twice to take home to feed my dogs and then went and got a burger. Never again. Was traveling here to go to Cedar Point, I can say I definitely was not disappointed. The food was delicious. I got the Strawberry Lemonade, and it was much bigger than I thought and it came with a color changing spoon. I tried the Pollo Loco since I saw it recommended in other reviews, and I was not disappointed. The prices are also really decent as well. This restaurant was a great find on my vacation to Sandusky. The staff were very kind and the environment was very pleasing. The service was great and fast. I enjoyed my food (Monstrous Burrito) they were able to make it vegetarian and add several vegetables without me even asking. There was only one other group of diners when we arrived around 2p. This restaurant came highly recommended by my family who is from Sandusky, so we were excited to try it. After we sat down the host gave us the menus which smelled as if they were just cleaned with lemon Clorox wipes. Pee-u! Not my favorite smell. My sister and niece had margaritas on the rocks and when the drinks arrived the drinks, were brown in color. My sister tasted it and made a face and told me to try it... yuck! What was that taste? It tasted like a chemical like a cleaner. My sister and niece stated to the waitress that they were undrinkable and asked for beers instead. My sister, who is never mean, was very polite explaining to the waitress about the taste and that possibly the lime mixture had turned bad. The waitress looked pissed and said ok and failed to remove the undrinkable drinks that had been pushed to the edge of the table. She copped an attitude after that. Nastily describing the food when I asked a question. She took 20 minutes to return forgetting the beers and finally took our orders. And about 15 minutes later brought their beers. We should have left but we were hungry and still having hope at decent food. My food, the inside out burrito with steak, was good, but my sister's food was terrible. Again the cleaner smell and taste were in the beans. Strange flavor. My niece liked her tacos, but the beans spread on her plate also tasted like chemicals. (Had they just cleaned up after the lunch rush???) It was about 2. The decor inside the restaurant was fun and colorful. But a restaurant should be on the food not the decor. After getting our bill, the waitress left the margaritas on the bill, instead like most places, taking them off. When we got up to leave we noticed the other patrons that had come in since we arrived had ordered margaritas and they were NOT brown like ours that were still sitting in the table. (See photos). Colorful and festive decor really gets you in the mood for some Mexican food and drinks! Chips were served warm and crispy the salsa was disappointing.. lacked flavor and it wasn't even a bit spicy... bummer. The original Margarita on the rocks had the taste of a sour mix so I tried the mango flavored one. It was a bit better but at that point I may have been reaching. We ordered the vegetarian fajitas with corn tortillas and it was pretty good. I did order a side of guacamole and it definitely made up for what the salsa lacked in flavor. It's an ok place for me. There were definitely other patrons in the restaurant so it seemed as if this place has some frequent visitors. read more

We had a meeting in the side room and we were very disappointed. They did not refill our drinks in a timely manner. We ordered queso cheese dip and never received chips with them. When we asked they said it would be an additional $1.99 charge. Why would I pay an additional $1.99 for chips when I am paying $3.50 for the queso?! The drinks were good. We had dinner for four and we're visiting from San Francisco. My kids had the chimichanga and burrito dinners, my wife and I both got the two-item entrees with chicken tostadas and pork tamales. If I could describe this establishment in one word it would be terrible. The wait was 30 minutes then another 30 to get asked for our order. They sat us right in from of the the live music which was terrible. Now when I got my food it was good but took over a hour. That is unacceptable. I was crammed into a spot in their terribly planned restaurant and hit by a waiter. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Sandusky. Gustavo is awesome and so are his crew. Always friendly, lively music and bright colors. Quick lunch served to us on a busy day is a plus.
