Build Your Own Noodles with Brown Sauce, Chicken, Veggies, and Chili oil, and Hot & Sour Soup
Kiersten H.

Service was good, and the food was great! My first time in and definitely won't be my last! The noodles with Traditional Brown Sauce & Chili Oil added are the perfect level of spice, and the hot & sour soup was AMAZING!

(See separate review for CLAG Brewing.) On arrival, it was mostly empty as it had just opened, but were told it would fill up. That was hard to believe as the place is huge, with multiple bar areas, tables of different sizes, and lots of standing. However, by the time we left it was filled! We sat at the main bar so we could talk to the owner. Our day had started with other breweries, so we were hungry and I'm glad we saved our tummies to dine here. I live in a city with tons of amazing Vietnamese restaurants, but this place blew them all away with maybe the most flavorful pho I've ever had. A huge bowl, not overly salty, with fresh produce and great flavor. Some of their beers are brewed perfectly to go with these zesty citrus flavors, so you really can't go wrong eating and drinking together. As I knew this was my only visit this trip, I also ordered a plate of fried rice which was also fantastic and I loved trying their sauces with it. Prices are so reasonable for the quality here. If you're a fan of Vietnamese food, great beer, and cool vibes, this is a must visit spot!

The sours they had were all smoothie type, and I did not like any of their flavors. Fried pork dumplings 9/10 Good dumpling, decent dipping sauce, not super gingery, which was nice for me. Caterpillar roll 10/10 Really good. Didn't really taste the shrimp much, but the flavor profile and combination of ingredients was good. The spicy mayo was not really spicy, but it was a good flavor. Spider roll 8/10 I actually wasn't a huge fan, maybe I don't like soft shell crab as much as regular crab. It was just a little plain to me, and needed either more eel sauce or another sauce in addition.

We ordered Chicken Lo Mein. It was good but the chicken was a tad chewy, it kind of grossed me out a bit. We would order the Lo Mein again but not with chicken. We also ordered the Mongolian Beef. It was really good!! The $2.00 upcharged rice was basically white rice with a few egg pieces in it cooked in a wok, so it did have a little crunch. They are quite stingy with the rice portion (see photo) but it did taste pretty good. We also ordered 2 pork egg rolls. They were also good, not greasy at all. My husband asked 3 times for homemade hot mustard but was still given the yucky little packets, so maybe they don't have the delicious hot homemade mustard? The restaurant is very clean and the staff were nice. Would we go back? Yes, we would definitely give it another try. Overall it was good.

This place is also called "Red Lotus": https://redlotusoh.com/…read more Pretty good if you want something asian in Sandusky (not many options). They actually have some decent dishes here that aren't too Americanized, which is nice when you want a different taste. I rate it 4 stars for having a restaurant like this in Sandusky. Pho was OK ... it was a bit heavy for pho, so I would probably avoid that one. Mei fun, singapore rice noodles, and lo mein had good flavor, though a little greasier than necessary.

I had an outstanding meal at QQ Kitchen last Thursday. The owner and his employees welcomed and…read moreseated me in the clean, comfortable dining room. I ordered iced tea and vegetable spring rolls to begin, and decided on Happy Family with chicken and shrimp for my entree. I like to wash my hands before eating and the restroom was scrupulously clean, which always makes a good impression. I was there at 4 pm so there were not a lot of people in the dining room yet and i could tell they were running a booming business in takeout calls. The starter came quickly with my drink, followed soon by my Happy Family meal, steaming hot! It is rare to get a restaurant meal hot these days and it was so appreciated. The spring rolls were delicious and the entree was perfect. The vegetables were crisp tender and fresh. The shrimp and chicken were cooked perfectly and all were served over a plentiful bowl of white rice in a large bowl in a light gravy. (Brown rice is also available if you desire). I had a doctor's appointment earlier so had not eaten that day and i devoured this meal. SO GOOD! There was enough that i could have taken some home but the food was so good i just kept eating. While i am not a drinker, QQ Kitchen does offer alcoholic beverages. Two workers came in, sat at the bar and enjoyed drinks with their meals. One of the men said to me, "Isn't this place great? Best food in Toledo!" I had to agree. The servers kept my iced tea filled and even gave me one to go. The bill was reasonable. This restaurant is highly recommended. Well trained, friendly servers, the owner was there cooking among his cooks, and it was a peaceful, yummy experience. There are also Thai and Korean menu choices here. Many vegetarian options are available, as well as "choose your protein" options. Plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall off Secor, wheelchair accessible, children and families welcome.

Tonight was our lucky night as we were seated within minutes of our arrival. QQ Kitchen is very unassuming upon entry. Small sitting area that was filled with people waiting for their take-out orders. The dining area is small and decor is simple. There is one TV monitor and tonight, "Triple D" (Diners, Drive-Ins, Dives) was on. How appropriate, huh? Menu has a lot to offer making it challenging to arrive at a snap decision. Many great choices. We started off with Spring Rolls. Very refreshing taste and the peanut dipping sauce was quite tasty. Our dinner selections: Drunken Noodles; and Pad Thai w Shrimp. Both these dishes were excellent and very fairly priced for the food quality and portion size. A great deal of foot traffic for take-out orders during the entire time we were in the restaurant. Good sign. We had a fantastic meal and we will definitely be back yo visit QQ Kitchen. Well done!

Service is very personable and attentive. Going above and beyond. This place is going to be busy once the word is out that they are open for lunch! So few places are open for lunch downtown anymore. Don't skip Tabe as an option. You'll be surprised. The dining room is beautiful but a bit dark during lunch. Nice a cool though. There are TVs just nothing tuned in yet. Idk if the upstairs is open but not necessary to go up there really, when the server will bring it down for you. Large comfortable booths or sit at the bar is a large cushioned chair. More to come. I have to try more of the lunch menu.

We mostly got small plates to share. Many were subpar. The skewer of meatballs was dry, oversalty and meh. The soup dumplings also not great. Very little broth. The atmosphere, service and drinks were great We also enjoyed a free bday dessert of a strawberry mousse cake. Bill for two with tip was around 100.00. We each had one drink. I don't think we will be back.
