"New" Kozy's review.... Kozy's has experienced a remarkable transformation in its dining offerings, bringing real Mexican dishes back to Oak Harbor, Ohio, for the first time since the early 1990s. I enjoyed chorizo scrambled eggs, refried beans and home fries - see pic. It reminded me of my dear friend from work, Irma's family breakfast she'd share with us. Hubs had made his own feature, 2 huge pancakes, sausage & eggs, typical Oak Harbor diner fare executed very well; no pic because it's normal for Kozy's. We felt both of our breakfasts for fairly priced as they were plentiful. Kozy's still opens early for their regular breakfast features and has plenty of small town offering on their menu. They are now open later for Mexican dinner features as of 1/5/26, I'm looking forward for full on Mexican dinners to try! Jill, our server was as wonderful as ever--so pleasant, prompt service and kind, on our visit 1/9/2026. It was great to see so many long-time staff & friends still working there, under the new management. They always greet you when you come in and make you feel welcome. I especially enjoyed how enthusiastic the staff were about the new project and how the owner chatted about their new menu, when we paid for breakfast. The interior has been refreshed with a calm light blue gray paint, cream curtains, farmhouse wallpaper and tasteful Mexican pictures. The 50's mural has retired and extremely white ceiling lights have been toned down a bit. They still offer plenty of counter seats to dine at as well, nice for when you just want to quietly relax enjoy solid cup of coffee, good Mexican & check what's on Facebook/Pinterest a bit. Also, I enjoyed the beautiful Mourning Dove in her nest, in a small bush by the north-facing window, looking in at the diners activities. There's easy parking onsite and allowing quick access to the restaurant. They said they are in line for a liquor license but we all know that takes forever. I hope they ask town council for an amendment to get a boundary change for the DORA right away. Hopefully being in DORA would help move their license app to be approved. IMO there's nothing better than a good Margarita with my Mex or with today's to go changes, to have a treat at home. I wish there would be room for a nice patio there too lol! I'm so glad someone took a chance and opened Mexican food in town! I'm finding it hard to get excited about the new places popping up around here--it feels like they're all just trying to be the next burger joint, wing spot, or deep-fryer obsessed. I'm hoping we, as residents, can all lend a hand in supporting this family owned restaurant option. read more

The food is always pretty good, customer service is normally always nice, everyone has their bad days, so I am not going to say it's perfect. You get a welcoming, community feel from the restaurant and people that come to eat there. read more

Good home cooking at very reasonable prices. Burgers are fantastic, good service and a friendly atmosphere.

If you're looking for simple home cooking at a decent price this is the place for you! We stopped on a Sunday afternoon and were able to order breakfast or lunch which was perfect for our group. The chicken salad sandwich on a croissant is delish! And substitute fries, you won't be sorry. Service was fast and kind--overall a great experience. We will be back! read more

I can see this restaurant being a frequent stop. Kozy Corner is cozy. The environment is family friendly and a bonded community. The food is good and the price is fair. Pickerel is one of the daily specials. I have not been to a restaurant in the area that was pickerel. The homemade pies are good as well. Stopped by with the family for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Kozys is the quintessential small-town, mom and pop breakfast stop.....only cleaner with great service!! We didn't even get a chance to try the food!! If you are not a party of four or more, you get to sit in the waiting area to watch bigger parties get seated before you!!! We were the second of three couples that left the restaurant because of this terrible policy!! We won't be back!! read more

Went to Kozy's with my Mom on a quiet Monday afternoon in November while our dog was getting groomed in Oak Harbor at the Snoochy Poochy. I was surprised at how busy they were! We had fast service, shared a delicious omelette, and split a piece of strawberry-rhubarb pie. The pie was divine! I would happily return to Kozy Corners. Eat local and you won't be disappointed. The decor is simple and they offer tables and counter seating. If you're looking for a fancy experience, Kozy won't be the setting for you. But the delicious food and friendly atmosphere should bring you there without hesitation! read more

Very nice place to come if you enjoy home cooked food!! The service (Sam) was excellent!! My husband had the full roast beef open faced sandwich and he was HAPPY! It was only $7.99!! He said get a little horseradish;) I ordered the large perch dinner with the Betty salad (and Betty dressing), baked potato, green beans and a roll!! It was $16.99 and worth every cent!! After waiting for an hour for a cheeseburger, trashy potatoes, and hot roast beef, while watching other customers who came after us be served, the owner didn't apologize. She just said, "Are you leaving? I'll cancel your ticket. " Very disappointed. read more

Perfect breakfast! Found this spot from yelp as we were driving through Oak Harbor. Fast, tasty, inexpensive and the services was top notch.

Drove from Detroit that morning and was heading to Ohio, arrived at lunch and wanted breakfast the place was packed , we sat for a bit longer than we wanted but service when it did come was warm and accommodating , we got the breakfast we wanted and it was good on quality and good on portion size very large actually, we had a nice meal in a friendly atmosphere and we were both very happy that we stopped there, we actually drove about 7 miles or so out of our way as the place had good Y reviews and were glad we did spend the extra time as it was worth it. read more

Great little local diner. Good quality breakfast and dinner options. Saturday night has specials on BBQ ribs and Prime Rib dinners. Price is very reasonable for the portion and quality. The Prime Rib was very good and comes with a basic small house salad and choice of potatoes. Kids like the BBQ ribs. We order them off the adult menu and the kids are always happy and full. Wife and I leave smiling from the Prime Rib. Definitely worth a try. The breakfast is pretty good also. Typical diner breakfast in my opinion. read more

Service was ok. Food was terrible! We asked and the waitress suggested the roast beef sandwich that is prominent on the menu, so 5 of 6 people at our table ordered it. The beef was dry and very ordinary, the gravy tasted straight from a jar and the mashed potatoes tasted like the cardboard box they came in. Iceberg lettuce salads came from a bag and were served with dressings that came from bottles. There were many locals in the restaurant....don't know why. read more

We had lunch at Kozy Korners on a very warm day in May after a morning of birding at Magee Marsh. It was over 90 out there, and we desperately needed a retreat and refueling. The visitor center staff recommended this place. The restaurant was homey AND cool and tranquil, the staff friendly and helpful. Good veggie burgers and wonderful cole slaw. My husband said the cole slaw was just like his mother used to make. In fact, when it was time for lunch the next day (after more birding), we headed back to Kozy Korners. A great find. read more
