What can I say, my prayers have been answered! No longer do I have to walk all the way to the north end to get a good prosciutto sandwhich...the north end came to me and my post office square office. Went here for the first (and second) time last week and will definitely be putting it into the rotation of lunch destinations. It came highly recommended and even though we went early to try and avoid the big noontime rush we ended up waiting about 7-8 minutes at 11:30. It was definitely worth the wait for this delicious hand-made sandwich. It's so much bigger and more filling than panera and the has-been sebastians. The meat was sliced perfectly and the tomatoes were fresh and juicy. The mozzarella was cold, fresh and tasty. One of these day's i'll have to try the pasta that my coworker raved about (gnocchi with walnuts). Only downside was the wait (second time took 6-7 minutes) but the food is soooo worth it. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Having lived in Italy for 15 years I can be very picky with Italian food, but this place leaves me no opportunity to complain. The food is delicious, you have many options (including 4 to 5 daily specials that change every day of the week) and the service is quick and friendly. I have tried the bresaola sand which on their delicious focaccia and that has to be my favorite sand which downtown. It is a very lean beef cold cut with roasted red peppers, lemon and capers. I tried two of their pasta- the butternut squash ravioli with Gorgonzola (blue cheese) and walnuts which was amazing as well as spaghetti puttsanesca. The pasta in all of the dishes is homemade and they have about 15 different choices of sauce. The price is incredibly fair (about $9) and would easily go for the twice the price in North End and be nowhere near as good. All of the staff comes from Italy and Giancarlo, one of the owners is very friendly and willing to make many suggestions. All the great reviews are well-deserved for this true hidden gem (it isn't a place you just stumble upon, and the sign isn't very big). Great italian sandwiches and rotating specials (stuffed peppers, chicken saltimbocca, chicken parm). But the real highlight is the pasta, and especially the pumpkin tortelloni. Fantastic quality and flavor, and all for much less than you would spend in the North End. Crowds fill in quickly, and the space is limited. So get there before noon in order to avoid getting crunched, and you'll be very very very happy you did so. read more

So I come by for lunch here on a weekday. It's packed. Of course this is to be expected because the yelp rating. I wait for about 15 minutes and then finally get my order in. The guy just looks at me and says okay. I then move along to the side like everyone else and just squeeze in as we all wait. 20 minutes later I am still sitting there. I make eye contact with a few of the people and one finally yells that my order is ready. I confirm with him the order and he says it's in there. I trust him and don't look inside. Big mistake. I get back and not only is the food not what I order, but the mistaken order was something I was allergic to and told them! I called and they apologized, but I had to go all the way back there to get it. Damage was done as by the time I was back and eating it, my order was cold by now and I was already late for a meeting. They were nice and apologized regarding the error but this place is chaos. No semblance of order. I'm not sure if they do delivery but if so they should've offered. read more

I discovered this tiny place because Pavia was so packed one day I just didn't have time to wait and am sure glad I did! This place was busy as well but I got my Pesto Chicken Salad pretty quickly. I substituted arugula instead of romaine and it was delish. The pesto was fresh and flavorful, and the chicken was still moist! I've been back a few times since my initial review over a year ago, but somehow I don't find it as amazing as it used to be. My pasta favorite is still the pumpkin tortellini (but I love all things pumpkin), but all the freshly-made pastas are delicious. Service is a little gruff but not unfriendly. However, over multiple visits I have noticed that Casa Razdora sometimes lacks consistency. I have been unpleasantly surprised by undercooked garlic in my sauces, which I am not a fan of. This has become my lunch spot for Italian. I work right around the corner. I have tried a few things here and I have not yet been disappointed. Everything I have had has tasted amazing! The place is small and the line moves super fast so its best to know your order before walking in (their website lists their full menu in detail). My favorites here are the Prosciutto di Parma and Fettuccine Campagnola. Oh and the Gnocchi with Pesto Alfredo sauce...actually anything with that Pesto Alfredo sauce, YUM! I have been here twice and am definitely pleased with the food that comes out of here. When there is a line out the door you know the place must be a winner. The first time I had the lasagna and it was good, although not even comparable to my mothers homemade. The second time I was here I tried to order the chicken parm which happens to be only available on M-W so I was disappointed and was convinced to get the veal parm instead. I definitely have realized I am not the biggest fan of veal but that was my fault for getting it. The portions are huge and the staff is hardworking and helpful. The pasta here taste like it's homemade and every single choice is under $10! I'm not sure if they make their sauces to order but it sure taste like it. A lot of to go pasta places make pasta in bulk and just scoop some from the pot when you order it but Casa Razdora sure isn't one of those places. I had the Pesto Alfredo...delicious! I can taste bits and pieces of pin nuts in the pesto and the cream sauce is not too heavy. The only thing I might change about this is perhaps add chicken to it next time. The portion is perfect for lunch and definitely worth the price of $7! Plus all pasta dishes come with fresh baked rosemary focaccia bread. My friends ordered the Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli with Nonna and Pumpkin Tortellini with Sage & Butter. They both enjoyed it very much and said the sauce was flavorful and delicious. The place is extremely tiny...only 2 tables of 4 and a couple bar seats. I wouldn't recommend sitting down during lunch time because the line forms around the tables and it can get kind of claustrophobic. The line was long but the servers were friendly and efficient. I went back for lunch and it was much better. I didn't bother with the menu, which has a lot of unpronouncable stuff anyhow, and just straight up asked for some meat ravioli in alfredo sauce. I had to wait for a bit, because they make it all fresh. I could see the guy in the back making my sauce. $9 for the pasta and a nice chunk of bread. That's not including a drink. I sat at the counter, 1/2 of which was taken up by this rude couple just sitting there, after having long finished their food. They took up WAY too much space and I had to squeeze over by the door. After they left, finally, I was able to sit on the opposite end, away from the door and the freezing air outside. --- The food, while expensive, is really good. The alfredo sauce was nice and cheesy and piping hot! Very filling. Good stuff to dip the bread in, too. The bread has a nice light olive oil and rosemary topping on it. I think you can order it plain too, if I overheard them right. I think there could have been more meat in the meat ravioli, but it was definitely made in-house and nice and fresh. I liked it quite a bit. -- I'd go here again for sure, but not too often. It's expensive for lunch every day. read more

Amazing. Every reviewer has said it, and it's true! It's a slice of the north end in the financial district, but better than anything in the north end. Seriously. I had a Razdora, which has fresh mozz, TONS of prosciutto, soppressata, and roasted red peppers. It was perfectly light and delicious, all due to the complete freshness of the ingredients. Also they could have charged a lot more for the sandwich based on the amount of prosciutto alone! It was very well priced at $8.50. I've made it beyond the Proscuitto di Parma sandwich only once -- it is THAT good. I just can't bring myself to part with perfection -- it is so simply but bursting with flavor. This place is amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Italian food downtown. I first tried them when they catered a company lunch - they did such a great job that I started going there myself. I love the fattoria but have tried their pasta as well and it's just wonderful. I've actually never had the pizza myself, but it looks really good from what I've seen them serve other people. Pro tip (but not required): call ahead for a takeout order, they do get quite busy at lunchtime in the Financial District. The staff are always quite nice as well. As a rule, there aren't a lot of great places to eat in the Financial District. Restaurants there tend to be overpriced (especially when you consider that the food is mediocre to outright poor quality) because they have a captive audience of working people who can't take too much time waiting around for lunch or walking to further away places that might serve better food. When I started a job in the Financial District, I was dismayed at the thought that I'd have to consign myself to eating an endless parade of Boloco, Qdoba, or Cosi. Casa Razdora is the exception. Through the magical powers of Yelp, I discovered this place, and I'm happy to say that it lived up to the praise. (Yelpers, you have not failed me!) This restaurant is awesome. It takes a supreme amount of self-control not to eat lunch here every day. Though I've so far only ordered pasta with sauce, every sauce I've tried here has been delicious. They're made fresh, and you can taste the difference over a lot of Italian (or Italian-ish) restaurants. The stuffed pastas are also made fresh. The pumpkin tortelloni with sage butter here is better than at a lot of places in the North End. The pasta is always cooked al dente, and the sauces are always piping hot. And you can't beat the price: $7 buys you pasta, sauce, and a side of delicious fresh-baked rosemary foccacia. Additionally, the staff is super nice and friendly; they treat their customers almost like family. I just wish they were open after 3pm, so I could actually go here for dinner. read more

No meat today- so I had the homemade fusilli pasta with the marinara piccante and it exceeded my expectations! I was guided here by Yelp, as I have been on many of my recent foodie adventures with my boyfriend as we travel the East Coast and it did not disappoint. My boyfriend got penne pasta with alfredo and chicken which he said was the "best alfredo sauce he's ever had". He was right and I couldn't disagree. During our short stay in Boston we visited this place twice. Some of the best homemade pasta and red sauces we have had anywhere, including other Boston little Italy restaurants. The first day we shared a salad, the linquine with cugini and the italiano sandwich which we took back to the hotel as the two other dishes were filling. The second visit we had the lobster ravioli and the novo salad, both amazing. The service staff was large for how small the place was and if they weren't family it sure felt that way. Oh my goodness! This is good true Italian food the way my mother-in-law cooks. The other Italian Eateries in the area are just fast food compared to Casa Razdora. By my observation, their sandwiches are very popular, however, I go straight for the pasta meals. Monday specials I like are lasagna & chicken parm with spaghetti. The pasta is incredible- my new favorite is the pumpkin ravioli. The pumpkin was slightly sweet and the dough was delicate. I ordered it with the gorgonzola walnut sauce which was delicious. Casa Razdora is across from my office where I work, and believe me I get it the food is authentic and really good, but the people who work here are some of the rudest Italians I've met -- and I studied in Italy so believe me I know the Italian temper. My office used to treat us to meals from here once in a while but after our last experience we won't be coming back. Our office ordered two large salads and two margherita pies to go, and one of my co-workers went over to get the food and realized she also would need some utensils and plates. She walked back over after spending $50 here and they informed her that it would cost two dollars for each plate - so $10 for five of us to eat off plates and additional money for utensils. She started explaining she just got food there but I think this place's line out the door constantly at lunch has given them quite the ego, they just started calling her terrible names in Italian...and she speaks italian and understood all of it. So she left without any utensils and we all were happy about that. I get needing a little extra money, but two dollars for a paper plate? Please don't rip your customers off and then call them every curse word in the book just assuming no one speaks Italian. Super disrespectful, we will not be back! read more

I've never been to Italy, but I felt like I was transported there as I ate my lunch at Casa Razdora (well, if you overlook the fact that "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" was playing on the radio). And it's so cheap! They could triple their prices, and I'd still gladly pay for their homemade pasta. I came here for the first time knowing I wanted to try a pasta dish (their delicious-sounding pizza and paninis will have to wait for a future visit). The tough part for indecisive folks like me was settling on a sauce. The menu features a lengthy list of them, each one sounding better than the last. Luckily, the staff was friendly and perfectly patient while I mulled it over. I'm a cream sauce kind of girl, but I really wanted to try a tomato sauce too. So to remedy that problem, I ended up getting the fettuccine carbonara for lunch and the ravioli nonna to go. Hey, it set me back by less than $20, so why not? Each dish was worth way more than its price. The carbonara, with its pancetta, eggs, onion, black pepper, & cream, was rich and filling, like any cream sauce should be. The fresh focaccia that came with it was perfect for mopping up every last bit of this heavenly concoction. The ravioli nonna, a tasty sauce consisting of tomato, rosemary, garlic, crushed red pepper & cream, was smooth and went perfectly with the ravioli over which it was generously poured. Now, if only Casa Razdora was open for dinner, I could say that I'd be back often. But even so, I plan to come back next time I have a day off. If I can get authentic Italian food for this cheap, I don't see a reason to go anywhere else. read more

My favorite italian place in Boston! Everytime I go back to Boston this is a must-do on my list. I've only gotten their pastas - I've tried multiple, but they have all been delicious. My favorite is the nonna. It seems like more people are discovering this place, since the last time I was back I had to wait a longer than usual (~20 min for takeout on a weekday lunch), and there was a line out the door. However, definitely still worth the wait. Their portions are good sized and pricing is reasonable as well. Keep in mind there is not much space inside the restaurant, so it might be difficult to find seating with a bigger party. I had been fantasizing about the day this place and I would finally meet for quite some time. This place opened after I was already at work and closed well before I was done, and working in the Back Bay with a non-existent lunch break, it just was never meant to be. However, yesterday I found myself wandering around the financial district with some time on my hands and remembered all of the 5 star reviews this place had received and decided to stop by. You guys did not disappoint. I went for the first time at 11:30a to beat the lunch rush and ordered whatever the guy in front of me received as I drooled over the plate that was handed to him. Turned out to be Meat, spinach & ricotta ravioli with Campagnola and chicken. Correct answer! There are no words, only actions. I inhaled that plate in a matter of minutes. Most. importantly, I dragged my wife back when she got out of work at 3:30p to try a second dish: prosciutto & ricotta with the infamous Nonna sauce. Side note, he remembered me and my order amidst the hundred of foodies he had served that day. Equally as "WOW!!" I couldn't resist the urge to try the Weds eggplant special after finishing that plate. Heated that up when I got home and wished that I were still there to give the italian gentleman behind the counter a warm, tender hug. Moral of the story: three of the best meals I have EVER eaten back to back to back. All for less than $25 or so. My palate is ruined and am now retiring from eating. That is all. read more

The best Italian lunch spot in Boston. Casa Razdora is only a few block from my office, so I am usually here a few times a week. Everything on the menu is fantastic - from sandwiches to pastas to full dishes. All of the pastas are homemade, and can be ordered with one of the many delicious sauces on the menu. Some of the favorites are the Razdora panino, the Ottimo Panino, Penne with vodka sauce and the gnocchi with Nona sauce. The line tends to get pretty long, but it always moves quickly. read more

Whoever was behind the counter grabbed an old piece of chicken that had been cooked earlier in the afternoon, microwaved it, and handed it to me a minute later, 30 seconds of which he took to add old, dry pasta to my plate.
