birria tacos?
Pedro S.

I came here for their carnitas but end up getting their menudo. I also had their birria tacos . Their menudo is highly recommend along with the carnitas and birria tacos. They have plenty of parking and good for big groups. The carnitas are made on Sunday morning. Get there early before 9 A.M. because people get there early. They do run out. They have an outdoor bar in the back where carnitas are being made. The property is beautiful for outdoor dining.

I found this place because I wanted a big blue Margarita for my birthday. I got on yelp and searched "big blue margarita" and this was the first place to come up now it's a tradition to go here for my birthday. I get the same thing everytime. Azul margarita, ceviche, and shredded beef chimichanga with red sauce. Oh and their chips and salsa is amazing! I love how they do both flour an corn chips. They do usually have a wait so keep that in mind.

Love this location. They have plenty of outside seating and on a beautiful warm day out it is a great place to enjoy a meal. I think the outdoor seating area is its biggest advantage. I can see myself coming back here for a drink on a slow day. I ordered a carnitas plate. It was a bit dry for my taste. I would give it a "just alright" rating. Thing to rave about. Decent food. I also tried red and green enchiladas. It was good. The sauce is nice.

Always like going here, however this last Sunday hostesses not friendly asked to sit outside had attitude Ordered out 2nd margarita and half was full of soda water "skinny margarita" and other was 1/2 melted frozen one when finally got to table. Our waiter was missing in action had to ask another waiter for ours! Food was just ok, guacamole was tasteless. Music on patio fun and engaging. Chips and music best thing going in there right now. Not sure what has changed service is poor and quality of food diminishing. From a long time customer so we have noticed changes!!!

Initially, I was quite frustrated. The place opened at noon yet they didn't seat anybody until about 12:10. It took another 20 minutes until we were seated, which felt strange because they just opened. Once they finally seated us, everybody was very gracious, but I would've hoped that they would've apologized for the wait. The drinks were fabulous. The food was fabulous. The atmosphere was wonderful. My recommendation moving forward is to A) open the bar while you know a bunch of folks are waiting and B) apologize for the fact that things were taking too long.

Good food and good service. Always seems to be a little bit of a wait but nothing too horrible.

Hi! I'm bringing my friend who has celiac disease to the area. Are there any gluten free options? Thanks!

There are many Mexican restaurants in town. My daughter, who requires gluten free food, orders tacos with corn tortillas, or enchiladas with corn tortillas. Just stay away from the flour tortillas. Rosas is her favorite restaurant.

We really liked our waiter who immediately brought water for the doggie with our iced teas. They start with a complimentary chips and three salsas. All good and chips were obviously fresh. We hit the taco menu for lunch and tried 4 of the 5. These are good sized and not little street tacos. The Al pastor, sadly, was a miss. Ok but a miss. There was odd seasoning like cloves on it and it was little chunks of meat with pineapple and onion but no cilantro The birria, although greasy, was a hit. Very tasty and tender with a tasty although greasy dipping sauce. The shrimp taco was very good. The short rib had a mixed verdict. One didn't care for it but I really liked it. It had a nice smokey taste and was not greasy. The side of beans and rice we added was yum. Service was great. Our guy was so attentive and helpful. Perfect place for a sunny day lunch in Fallbrook!

I don't know how they make it and they won't tell me but they WILL sell it to you. I wish they had birria but birria isn't easy to find in many Mexican restaurants. I'm sure if they did have it it would be fantastic. Their pico is very watery and could use a bit of thickening but tastes ok. The kids absolutely love the rice here. The beans are good but a little bland. I had the Adobada taco which was absolutely out of this world. The red Chile spices were spot on. My lunch date had beef flautas which were delicious. I gave 4 stars simply because the green sauce is so amazing and you absolutely cannot find it anywhere else. We sat outside on the patio which was very pleasant. All the patrons at lunch were outside on the patio. The bathrooms are extremely clean although you do have to go outside the building around the back to use the restroom. That's fine because it's a lot better than having to walk through the kitchen. If you're ever in Fallbrook look this place up and try to have a meal here. Don't forget the green sauce and always ask for more!

Updated review - just wanted to add a few more photos from my recent visit!…read more I seriously love this spot. Guadalajara never misses. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying - you can tell they put care into everything they serve. Portions are generous, and the prices are very affordable, especially for the quality you're getting. The service has always been friendly and quick, and the overall vibe is relaxed and welcoming. It's one of those places you can count on whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy a full meal. Definitely one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend!

This place has always been our go to Mexican restaurant when we come down here. We came on cinco de mayo which was busy and we had waited 20 minutes for a table which we expected. So we placed are order. Wife asked for the 2 taco special with no sour cream. I order the same thing with no cheese or sour cream. I did that cause I'm lactose intolerant. The waitress stated that they can't substitute? I'm not substituting anything. Just don't add it. The "manager" came over and said we can't substitute? I stated I'm not substituting anything, just don't want cheese or sour cream. He said since they're busy cause of cinco de mayo they can't do it which tells me they can't handle a large amount of customers and there food they make in the back there cooks are auto pilot and get devate from the normal operation. We have been here before and "NEVER" had a problem with the way we ordered but today was an issue which tells me things are difficult especially if busy. We will not be back cause it was just a simple request and they couldn't fulfill that. We went over to Rosa's and tortilla factory which is down the street and it was good and "much cheaper ". I will never recommend Guadalajara to anyone anymore cause they couldn't handle a simple request.
