This experience was extremely disappointing. The cashier's behavior toward us was noticeably different from how she treated other customers. Before it was our turn, she was smiling, welcoming, and friendly with the people ahead of us. However, as soon as we stepped up to the register, she simply stared at us in silence for several seconds without greeting us or saying a single word. It created a very uncomfortable situation, and I eventually had to be the one to say "hello" just to begin placing our order. Basic customer service starts with acknowledging and welcoming your guests. As customers, we should feel appreciated and respected, especially when we're choosing to spend our money at your business. Employees should be trained to greet every customer professionally and consistently!! What made the experience even more upsetting was that immediately after our transaction, the couple behind us was greeted with a smile and an enthusiastic attitude. The contrast was impossible to ignore. My husband felt singled out and wondered whether we were treated differently because he is white. While I can't know the reason for the cashier's behavior, the inconsistency in how we were treated left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable P.s she gave me a side eye just as we picked up our order, disgusting servicez Management should address this issue and ensure all customers are treated with the same level of courtesy and respect. TAKE-OUT / DELIVERY REVIEW First time experiencing Mrs. Taco. We ordered two burritos delivered by Postmates: Surf & Turf, and the Chile Verde Burrito. The Surf & Turf was very good. Little too much guac but the flavor was there and it did not need any salt! Everything, especially the meat, was seasoned correctly. BUT let's talk about the green chili burrito. This Chile Verde Burrito was hands-down the BEST burrito I can remember ever having in north county. Wow. It's a "wet" style burrito meaning they pour the green chili sauce (and extra meat) over the entire thing and came in a Styrofoam container. It was just amazing and we are headed there again today to get another one. We also got chips & salsa, and unfortunately the salsa was meh. The little sauces that came with the burritos were good. I appreciated they added one of each kind (four kinds) to our order without even asking. Also got a Mango Smoothie which my daughter loved. This restaurant is a gem, if you like authentic, fresh Mexican food ! They do have inside and outside seating. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is kept clean. The food is very tasty with Mexican chefs that you can see at smile at haha. The portions are perfect to me and not exaggerated The owner is often there and she is very nice and will help the staff. As someone currently going through one of the hardest seasons of my life, being homeless and sleeping out of my car, I stumbled across this place and found more than a meal--I found compassion. I ordered two pollo street tacos, rice, and a strawberry banana shake. The food was fresh and delicious, but what moved me to tears was the kindness of the staff. While thanking the lady who helped me order, I became emotional. She embraced me and let me cry on her shoulder. I've never experienced that kind of genuine care from a stranger. Sorry, with so many Mexican restaurants in the area I can't recommend this as a go to restaurant. I ordered the beef chimichanga platter. I tried three different tacos for lunch today--fish, shrimp, and carne asada. Overall, the food was pretty average--basically the taco equivalent of grabbing McDonald's or Burger King. The carne asada portion was generous, but the meat was underseasoned and lacked any char or grill flavor--barely browned at all. I could also taste the preservatives in the corn tortillas. Service was a bit chaotic. While my mouth was full, the cashier accidentally handed me someone else's replacement taco, and the waitress had to come over and redirect it to the correct customer. I have been coming to Mrs Taco pretty regularly especially recently during a big kitchen remodel. The food here is consistent and good. A couple of my faves are the chilaquiles burrito and the 2020 breakfast burrito. Fish tacos are also a winner. They have some outdoor seating and a good size indoor dining area with lots of windows - a bright space. People are always friendly and nice too. A good local option for fast Mexican food! read more

I saw someone mentioned their order of soup was loaded with potatoes, but we've never had that experience, Sometimes the soft tacos are overloaded with cabbage. So I hesitate to share my go to place for Mexican Food. But it's so great I decided I would. We Love Mrs Taco. Maria and Joshua have been taking care of us for years. The restaurant itself is so clean . Maria is always tiding up and wiping something down while she is chatting and checking on the guests. They also decorate for holidays and you feel their enthusiasm. They are friendly with pets and kids, I have taken my dog there many times and it's the go to place for my granddaughters to get their crunchy taco fix. . I go Once a week with my father in law who adores their fish tacos. I was trying to take a picture of his plate but he had already started digging in. My mother and I enjoy the Chili Rellanos with Maria's secret family sauce. My husband loves all their burritos! One of my sons, who lives in Colorado now , wanted to go there right after he flew home, before we even went to our house. I feel all the staff takes pride in their work and it shows . This is my second time here and they have not disappointed. First, they greet you and welcome you with a smile. Second, their restrooms are extremely clean and I felt like I was in my grandmother's restroom with her beautiful picture frames. Lastly and not the least their food is Amazingly delicious,hot, and fresh! Both Tortillas are nicely thick to accommodate and with stand the weight of your choice of food. Bomb bomb bomb bomb Nowadays, it's hard to find the old school not thrown together or not old beef, or been sitting all taco shop because there is so many options but now I found the winner winner chicken dinner. This place has the freshest meat and pico de gallo I have eaten on Carne Asada chips in a long time. Also, it has a huge dining area and has a fabulous Buffet for 16,99!!! I love their sauce. We love living so close to Mrs taco! Usually it's great. But on rare occasion it's lacking in food quality and flavor consistency. The past few times we ordered the chicken tortilla soup to go it was amazing, flavorful and full of chicken with all the condiments to add. Tonight it was not flavorful, less chicken and full of potatoes and forgotten condiments. When you think of chicken tortilla soup you don't want it to be full of potatoes. I know the soups there are homemade and are gonna vary slightly but tonight it wasn't good. Quality control needs to be consistent! I will order again in a week and do an updated review. read more

This was our first time eating here. The rolled taquitos with rice and beans was good. I had the milanese torta. The milanesa steak was just a little over cooked. Still good though. The service was great. Friendly and helpful. I also had a pineapple tamal which was delicious. They offer a wide variety of dishes. They serve aguas Fresca from a dispenser as well as Pepsi products from a soda dispenser. They have plenty of seating space with a few table outside as well. Plenty of parking. Will definitely go back and rey some of the other dishes. Prices are better than at some of the other taco shops around. read more

Hubby and I worked up an appetite after a day of window shopping and running errands. We were craving "something crunchy." We just happened to see "Mrs. Taco" and knew we'd be able to find crunchy. We ordered a side of chips and salsa, a taco plate with beef and chicken tacos, and a chile relleno. The chicken taco was good, but not as good as the beef taco. The chicken was a little bland, but there was a salsa bar so getting flavor was easy. The salsa that came with the chips had a sweetness and a kick that I could appreciate. There was definitely a homemade flavor to it that was refreshing. The chips were extra crispy and perfectly salted. The relleno was OK. The picture of it was more appealing than the actuality of it. The pepper was a bit skimpy and the stuffing was almost nonexistent. There was plenty of red sauce and shredded cheese on top that it drenched the entire dish.
