I had originally reached out to Faro about his other restaurant (127 West Social House) but when rain was in the forecast for our wedding weekend, he thoughtfully suggested we host our lunch here instead. We ordered the Trupiano's special pizza. The crust was underdone and really just not very impressive, especially for the $30 price tag on a SMALL. Additionally we ordered the Romana half salad. We found this restaurant while driving back from the winery and craving Italian food, and we're so glad we stopped in! I always enjoy supporting local, family-owned restaurants, especially those that have that homemade, home-cooked meal feel, and this place definitely delivered. We ordered the gluten-free thin-crust pepperoni pizza and the chicken piccata with gluten-free pasta, and both were delicious. The food was flavorful without feeling heavy, which I really appreciated. The chicken piccata came with vegetables, which was something I hadn't seen before, but it was a great addition and I really enjoyed it. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were attentive throughout our meal and even adjusted the air conditioning when we mentioned it was a little cold inside. Good service. Nice cold beers. Nice inside. My wife loves their stuffed mushrooms and it didn't disappoint again, she loves them! My wife & her mom always gets their Romana salad & they have good ranch dressing. The small is large enough for them to split and gives them a good portion. I got a meat sandwich, but it was more lettuce, tomato and bread with little meat so won't order a sandwich there again. I'm glad I ordered the pizza sauce that comes on the sandwich, on the side, just tasted like tomato paste. No other flavor to it. My mom-in-law likes their lasagna, but always comments she wishes it wasn't served in a bowl dish with lots of sauce around it. We found Chef Faro through our Airbnb, and it ended up being one of the best decisions of our trip. His communication was excellent from the start, clear, timely, and so professional. He prepared a beautiful dinner for my family: flavorful stuffed mushrooms, a crisp and perfectly balanced Caesar salad, and a beef tenderloin cooked to absolute perfection. The tiramisu he made for dessert was light, creamy, and unforgettable. On top of the incredible food, he left the kitchen cleaner than before he arrived. We chose Trupianos for our anniversary dinner while in Fallbrook in April 2026. Upon entering it appeared to be a quaint little Italian bistro, not too fancy but cute. We were seated immediately and they allowed my service dog to be inside. It they took our drink orders almost immediately but the drinks didnt make it to the table for nearly 15 minutes. We waited almost 15 minutes to have our order taken which was surprising. We kept looking around to see where the waitress was and saw them all huddled in the back. A very nice lady came over ans asked if we had been helped and when she found out we were still waiting she seemed a bit taken back. The food came in very hearty portions. Started with the Bruschetta, it was amazing. My wife had Osso Bucco which is an oven Roasted Pork Shank, Roasted Vegetables, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and i had the Farfalle Salmone which is Salmon, Fresh Garlic, Deep Fried Capers, Dill Infused Parmesan Cream Sauce, both dishes very tasty. This place has easily become a family favorite! We had our wedding at a nearby venue so my now husband and I visited Trupiano's twice during tours/booking the venue and instantly loved it. The food, the service, the atmosphere..just completely customer oriented. As such, we booked our rehearsal lunch here and it was just as amazing. Such a smooth process with Faro, from designing our menu to table cloths, etc., it made it such an incredible rehearsal for us and our guests. I'm a big fan of Italian food Trupiano's Italian bistro has really great food at very reasonable prices. My husband and I split a bottle of wine which was around $30 and we also got a dish that included lasagna chicken Parm and a beef ravioli. I couldn't imagine how one person could ever eat that by themselves, the one thing I will say is the croutons in the ceasar salad were a little harder than I like but still was a good salad. I got the spicy arrabiata (with angel hair not penne). Got a DELICIOUS Italian moscato (originally was looking for a local but I'm really excited that I did not because I just found a Moscato that I'm definitely going to be buying a couple bottles)!! They did not have the crème brûlée so I'll have to come back again and try some other dish along with us. Instead I got the ice cream which was really good surprisingly because I don't like mixing chocolate with fruit. Everything was fantastic I would say this is probably going to be my go to location when I come to Fallbrook moving forward and I definitely will recommend it. It's an understatement to say that this place offers one of the best Italian food I've ever had. I haven't been so so delighted to eat Italian food elsewhere. You don't expect much from a little place in a little town on vacation but my mind has been blown. Food & Drinks: My absolute favorite was the Cavattapi Caprese, a delightfully light sauce, melted mozzarella, and pasta cooked to perfection. Overall a beautiful medley of well-cooked ingredients. I could eat that thing all night. The Sicilian pizza was great too, crispy crust with a softer center topped with delicious cured meats. Pizza heaven I'd say. Their Tiramisu was wonderfully soft too, it just slid down my throat. We got a bottle of the Rose(I forgot the name but it was from Portugal) which was good too. Service: The food being good is one thing, but their service is stellar too. Our server Kai was a delight to work with. Very attentive, and made sure to talk about the food we ordered so that we knew what to expect. We were celebrating our anniversary so he even got us a desert, on the house. And then he stopped by for a few mins to chat about our time in Fallbrook etc. He got the whole staff to say Happy Anniversary while we were leaving. I was so touched. There were 2 other servers who took care of our complimentary bread refills and wine refills. They even boxed our leftovers, I mean who does that anymore?Overall some great folk onboard here. Ambiance: A small cozy place that gives a very homely vibe. If I had an Italian grandmother, her dining room back in Italy would probably look like this. They have some parking outside too so not a difficult parking situation. In-All: A true small-town gem, this place. We're severely limited on dining options here in Fallbrook, but there are good options. Trupiano's is one of them. Food is pretty good, yet a bit bland across all items. Service is awesome and the ambiance is dated and ok. I really wish they'd develop the outside as there are no real outside options in FB. Will come back, but I think Faro's 127 West resturaunt will continue to be our go-to over this. Not sure why the flavors are different between the two either.
