We became members because we genuinely love the beautiful building, the impressive indoor ambiance, the convenient location, and the opportunity to support a local business. We're members at other Temecula wineries as well, and we really enjoy coming here, especially when we can sit outside on the patio. The wood-fired pizza and salads are also excellent. Unfortunately, there are two things that have made our membership experience increasingly disappointing. First is the service. With the exception of one male server who has always been friendly and personable, we have consistently found the servers and bartenders to be extremely unwelcoming. There is very little warmth, personality, or genuine interaction with customers. We rarely encounter a smile or any effort to make the experience feel special. What bothers me most is that, as members and local customers, we never feel recognized. Nobody seems to know who we are, remember us, or make any effort to build a relationship with us. We feel more like a number than valued members of the winery community. The second issue is the membership policies. The two-person limit is frustrating for a family of three, especially when other wineries we belong to are much more flexible about immediate family members participating. There is also no option to use the complimentary benefit toward a glass of wine rather than a tasting. Most importantly, the tasting pours feel unnecessarily rigid. We completely understand having guidelines, but when every pour is measured so precisely, there is no sense of generosity or flexibility. At other wineries, the occasional little extra or small gesture of appreciation makes members feel valued. Here, the experience can feel very transactional. And that's really the heart of my disappointment. We didn't join simply to receive discounted wine. We joined because we wanted to feel like part of something local and enjoyable. This winery has so much going for it--a gorgeous property, great food, a beautiful setting, and a product we enjoy. I just wish the hospitality matched the surroundings. A little more warmth, recognition, and flexibility would make a huge difference. We genuinely want to support this business and continue being members but at this point we are considering canceling membership. I hope management understands that this feedback is coming from customers who want to love the experience, not from people looking for something to complain about. read more

I had visited Monserate Winery before their remodel, but this was my first time back since all of the renovations were completed. The transformation is absolutely amazing! The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers a relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for spending an afternoon. One thing to note is that they now have a weekend policy requiring guests to be **21 and over** for wine tasting. From what I understand, children are still welcome if they're attending a private event, such as a wedding, since those are held in a separate area. The winery now features a restaurant, a gift shop, and a spacious tasting area with both indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a dedicated members-only lounge and tasting area, which is a nice perk for wine club members. My sister and I shared a salad and a pizza, and both were absolutely delicious. There was live music during our visit, and it was played through speakers throughout the property so everyone could enjoy it, no matter where they were seated. The servers were friendly, attentive, and helped make the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Monserate Winery is a beautiful destination with great food, excellent wine, and a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting, whether you're stopping by for a tasting, a meal, or just to enjoy the scenery. read more

This place is beautiful. I loved the seating areas, water feature, and live music--they really add to the overall atmosphere. It's smaller than many of the wineries in Temecula, which means better service and a more relaxed, intimate experience. The food was decent overall. The Brussels sprouts were easily the standout dish, although I wish they came with a little more pork belly. The meatballs were also delicious, and honestly, the bread was the best part. The pizza was a bit disappointing for me, as it lacked flavor. I tend to prefer a hot honey pepperoni style pizza, and a drizzle of something on top could have helped elevate it. The portions are very generous. I believe they offer a smaller portion of the Brussels sprouts in the tasting room, but it wasn't listed on the sit-down menu. I didn't realize there were different portion options until the large plate arrived. The Brussels sprouts and pizza are easily enough to share among four people, while the meatballs are more appropriately sized for a couple. The larger portions help justify the cost, but it still feels a bit pricey. Personally, I'd prefer the option of a smaller Brussels sprouts portion at a lower price point, and I think offering pizza by the slice would be a great addition. read more

We were at the Winemaker's Club Pickup Event last weekend, and had a wonderful time! The event was well organized: checking-in, plenty of good tacos, and a surprise music treat by Javid and Naoko. (I am a fan!) Their new event venue was GORGEOUS with waterscape with a waterfall and a serene open nature feel. Monserate Winery keeps everything classy, and that's why we love this winery! The Winemaker's Club was a nice new option, and I am glad I changed my membership to it. I hope we will have more club events like this in the future. Cheers and thanks! read more

Beautiful grounds nice facility. Lovely wine quite surprising. However, they serve in perfectly measured little glass carafe, which is portion control for server honesty. However, not knowing what the label looks like and not offered an upsell to take a bottle home or whatever was a bit odd. All of the buildings and grounds are well kept and just stunningly gorgeous a nice place for a private event like a wedding reception or corporate party. I'll have to return as my first visit I wasn't wild about the pizza but let me try something else next time. read more

I've been a member of the Monserate Wine club for over a year now and each visit is ALWAYS worth the 45 minute drive. Our son recently got married and we decided to do a rehearsal lunch ( due to other events happening) at Monserate. I can't say enough about Tristan the manager. To say the lunch was a success is an understatement. The weather was going to be pretty hot that day so Tristan called the night before to offer to bring the event indoors which saved the day. The patio overlooking the vineyard would have still been lovely but I was so happy for the a/c that day :-) the food: outstanding, service: outstanding... Tristan and Miguel are two of my favs. Their knowledge of the wine is amazing. Thank you for making our special event that much more special!!! See you soon! read more

Service 5/5 -Friendly staff that offered recommendations and minimal wait time for food to come out. Food 5/5 -Bruschetta $18, six decent pieces that's refreshing and a great appetizer to share with -Lamb Ragu $28, it tastes exactly like what it looks like, it's hearty and satisfying with tender shredded lamb that doesn't taste gamy -Steak Frites $35, the steak did not feel hot like it was freshly made but it was tender and tasted great. I asked for truffle fries and they were generous with the portion and very delicious! Beautiful location in Fallbrook. The restaurant was clean, modern, bright and airy. The staff was friendly and attentive and made some good recommendations for lunch. We are celebrating an event later this year and wanted to try their lunch menu. We started off with the bruschetta, which was different than what we were used to but a solid choice. We also tried the Caesar, Crisp Pear, and the Goat cheese and beet salads as recommended by the staff. The Caesar was standard, but the Goat cheese and Beet salad was fantastic! I never would have ordered it without the recommendation. We also tried the Margherita, Diavola, and Italian Sausage pizzas. Wow! I can't say enough good things about this winery. I've been to many wineries and I don't think I've ever had this much trouble picking a bottle because I enjoyed ALL the tastings! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and tranquil. They had a great soloist playing guitar from Nashville, Steven Cade. He played beautiful music while we ate delicious sausage pizza and beet and goat cheese salad on a Saturday afternoon. Brian was our host and he was so knowledgeable and friendly and welcoming. I'm still in love with Monserate. There are multiple wines that are a great fit for all palates. They've expanded their menu with an assortment of apps and main dishes. I love the truffle fries, the burger, pizza, desserts, chef specials, and a number of other items on the menu. The ambience is absolutely beautiful. There are waterfalls on the exterior and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. The staff are all kind and personable. They make it a great experience every visit. I would recommend to anyone to become a member to get wine shipments and wine/food discounts. Wow wow wow! Attended a Friday late afternoon wedding here. The outdoor lawn venue is eye appealing with large trees as backdrop & pond. The indoor reception area was gorgeous. The staff from the golf cart transport, to the staff handing out welcome sparkling wine, to servers & bartenders were all so nice & friendly. The wines were very good. We came on a Sunday and it was pretty crowded at 12pm, but thankfully we made reservations ahead of time. Customer service could be improved because when we first arrived we were not greeted and it appeared the hostesses were annoyed at each other and confused when discussing where to seat us. They were arguing about one side being too full and some servers needing to double up on tables. The restaurant was full, yet the atmosphere was aesthetically nice. Our sandwiches were well portioned and really well made, especially my chicken sandwich, it was delicious and flavorful. We also ordered the focaccia appetizer, which was just mediocre. I usually love focaccia, but unfortunately this one was quite dry and disappointing. Overall we had a great time and the ambiance and sandwiches were the highlight. Came here with my daughter and grandson for an early dinner. Walking up to the front entrance was very pretty with flowers and trees. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day and it was very peaceful and relaxing. The service was good. Got our food quickly. We ordered a few things to share. Started off with the crisp pear salad which was very fresh and flavorful. Loved the pomegranate and candied walnuts in it as well as the thinly sliced pears. We also ordered the crispy brussels sprouts. They were probably the best brussels sprouts I've ever had and I loved the pork belly in it and pickled red onion on top. My grandson had the kids cheese pizza. We also split the Monserate classic burger and opted for truffle fries and OMG best fries ever! Nice and crispy on the outside. The burger was top notch. Cooked perfectly and was so tasty and juicy. For dessert we had vineyard delight cake. Never had a dessert quite like this. It was good. The whole meal was excellent. No complaints. The spicy salami paired with the chili honey drizzle had just the right kick, and it matched perfectly with their sparkling Grenache. I genuinely didn't want my glass to empty! Whenever me and my big family need a place to meet up for a birthday or other celebrations, or just to chill and enjoy each other's company, Monserate is always our top pick! The place itself is absolutely beautiful and looks like it was transplanted right out of Tuscany. There is ample seating for groups big or small and beautiful scenery everywhere you look. The service is always top-notch, and it's one of my favorite places to do wine tasting. I personally love their reds. The food is also very good too, and you can't really miss on anything you order. It's 21+ on the weekends, so you can go on the day of the week that suits you and your group. i'm considering joining their membership as well because it seems to be a pretty worth it program. read more
