Reliably good diner food, always fast service. They're great about a refill to go and patio seating even if you're the only one. I particularly love that I can always get good soup there any day of the week and breakfast has fabulous options - including good crispy bacon. A little cafe in the area! We had a baby and a stroller with us so they let us into a special section where it was just us. This was much appreciated and gave us tons of space. Tasty food, great service and an old time feel to the vibe. We were a party of 16 and they accommodated us on their beautiful patio. And with a larger group I usually expect some delays on the food and not the same timing of plates hitting the table, but the food came out fast and accurate, one plate after another with little to no delay. Decades ago my hubby and I would stop in here occasionally. One time I went by myself, and ordered a small fruit bowl after my meal. What showed up was a bowl of canned pineapple chunks. When I spoke to one of the two young ladies, she gave me a look like she was put off. They weren't high school teenagers, either. When I asked to see the owner - who had always been very cordial - she said 'there are no strawberries'. It was mid-summer here in San Diego County, I knew better. I paid for my lunch (I did not touch the fruit) and after watching them both stand there talking about me, never went back. Stopped here in between meetings, the cafe looks like an old school diner. Seating was quick, I was able to choose where I sat and service was impeccable, they were all very friendly. Yesterday, My wife and I visited for a late lunch. We hadn't been there for quite a while. She had breakfast and I had a patty melt. The food was absolutely "top flight", "old school" wonderful. We drove out to Fallbrook to go to one of our favorite restaurants and were disappointed when we found it closed. So we tried Fallbrook Cafe. We were hesitant seeing the parking lot was close to empty. I mean how good can it be with an empty parking lot. Definitely a diner atmosphere with a wide variety to choose from. I had the hobo omelette and my wife had a grilled chicken mozzarella and mushroom sandwich. Bread grilled with parmigian. We recommend both. Ample portions at fair prices. I am aware that it's annoying, I'm annoyed by it as well. I assured the manager (very short, salt/pepper hair, petite stature) that I apologize and it was in fact important. Without uttering a word, she points to the last table and she said, "in the corner! It's like nails on a chalkboard to me!" Wow she didn't know that I was helping my best friend an her mothers funeral...she just erupted with ugliness and hate toppled with personal opinions that nobody asked or cared to hear. Stopped in here for lunch when just getting into town and had a good meal. It's your basic, no frills diner. I had a two egg breakfast with a ham steak, which was really good. Normally, it's pretty hard to mess up breakfast, but the ham steak was really good - nice grilled flavor. My wife just had a grilled cheese. Obviously, not gourmet dining, but again, it's a cafe. We were both happy with our orders. We stopped in at 2:30, so it wasn't busy at all. Regardless, our server was very attentive and very friendly. Great place to stop for a good meal. read more

The price increases are just ridiculous, most especially the drinks. The basic fountain drinks or iced tea is $5.00. Milk or orange juice is almost $7.00. For 2 or three people, this adds a minimum of $10-$20 to your bill, let alone the food cost. Two sandwiches and two iced teas for lunch was a bill of over $50.00. Went again and ate breakfast with 3 people and the bill was $79.00. Since you've already increased your food prices, adding an additional increase to the drinks feels like really gouging the customer. I would just order water and not pay for the over priced drink, but your water has a terrible taste so that's not an option. Do better for the community and people who support you and lower your drink prices. read more

Leaving or coming into Fallbrook, there's a little cafe, on East Mission, almost out of sight where the roads Y. please don't pass without trying out their breakfast or lunch menu. We were just hungry, so we stopped in. Great atmosphere if an old time diner. Lunch counter stools actually comfy, booths are perfect. Bacon perfectly cooked. I ordered a French Dip Sandwich and my husband had the Meatloaf dinner which included a side salad, scoop of ice cream for dessert.
