The panini was perfectly toasted with great flavor, and the açaí bowl was fresh, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. Prices were decent for the quality and portion sizes, which I definitely appreciated. The servers were friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel relaxed and comfortable. I always eat at the bar seating. It is so comfortable and welcoming. The music is great and I love talking with Scott, Lori and Andy. Today I enjoyed the "Beef Dip Panini" on herbed focaccia with horsey sauce. Very flavorful. The Au jus was a little thin but plentiful for the focaccia. I also enjoyed my usual mini Caesar salad and a (few) Fallbrook Chardonnays. The current art show at the adjoining Fallbrook Art Center was spectacular. My friend and I really enjoyed Cafe des Artistes in Fallbrook. Charming small cafe, filled with people during the noon hour on Valentines Day, most celebrating. Our dishes were delicious. Everything coming out of the kitchen from paninis and sandwiches, entree salads and even lobster spaghetti on this day's special looked luscious. Wild caught salmon, dijonnaise, capers and red onions just melted in your mouth. The avocado crostini on sourdough tasted like biting into a cloud of fresh bread. Açaí bowl was delicious. Decided to try this place after hearing such wonderful things about other customers experience. And I have to give this place 5 stars! I came in with my 17 year old daughter and 8 year old son to see if it was family friendly and it definitely was!! The set up is great with beautiful art everywhere, the service of the gentleman was very professional he makes you feel like your right at home and he was very knowledgeable about the Art being displayed in the cafe. Food was delicious!! I got the Trio in which I would recommend so you can try the salad, soup and sandwich! Delicious!! I had shrimp chowder and never tasted it before and I'm HOOKED now! My daughter had the turkey bacon panini and she said it was sooo tasty. My son got the flatbread pepperoni pizza and he enjoyed it because it was gone quick!! Amazing little place! They even sell the paintings of local artists! And the music is top-notch. The service is really great and our waitress was incredibly kind and helpful. The Lavender tea was out of this world- they have loose leaf tea! And it's good quality tea! My mom had chai and it was also loose leaf and she loved it. The focaccia they use for the sandwiches is fantastic! I got the caprese and mom got the salmon one and we both loved them. Totally recommend! They are also pet friendly- we were able to sit on the patio with our dog. Cannot recommend it enough! We were only surprised that they only have black coffee- no cappucinos or espressos. We don't mean Starbuck type coffee (yuck) but simple espresso based beverages. But that's a really a small thing. They high quality tea really makes up for the coffee! read more

A friend and I dined here, mostly because it was close to where we parked for the street market. As it turned out, it was an excellent choice. I ordered a cup of clam chowder and a salmon-caper sandwich, which was so substantial, half of it went home with me. The chowder was one of the best and most unusual ones I've ever had. My friend ordered a salad and a flatbread. It's unusual to be offered noteworthy croutons, but my friend had never tasted such delicious ones, and commented to the owner about them. We learned that he takes the edges of the focaccia, dices them, and sautees them in olive oil. The deserts looked worth the calories, but I'll save that chocolate cake for next time. The menu changes somewhat, periodically, so I'll be interested in what we find the next time we dine here. Highly recommended. read more

I'm a big fan of this little place. Great localized food and service and you can look for art both in the Cafe and in the adjoining gallery as well. What's not to like? I was there shopping for Christmas presents and just went back for the first time and the server remembered me. Truly a hidden gem! I stumbled across this cafe while attending the farmers market. Them menu looked so delicious I had to try everything. I immediately stayed with the bottomless mimosas. Oj comes in the side so you get to decide how strong you want the drink. Followed with a lentil soup, the broth was full of flavor and the lentils were cooked perfect. Next I tried the hummus and pita as well ass the bruschetta. Chef kiss!! The hummus was so creamy and fresh I couldn't stop eating it. The Bruschetta was also great. The bread was toasted with olive oil which gave it a nice bite. The main course was the salmon panini. Wow the capers and homemade herb focaccia bread are the finishing touches. And for the dessert I had the açaí bowl. Light refreshing with fresh fruit berries and honey. Everything was so tasty I couldn't help but to keep ordering off the menu. Oh boy! Life in the time of "corona"! My wife and I decided to get out of the house and go for a ride up to Tom's Farm. It was such a beautiful day out. Not too hot. I wanted to stop and get a yummy coffee from somewhere that wasn't Starbuck's and support a local business in Fallbrook on the way. The cafe I originally chose was closed for renovations or something.. Really!? Anyway, we ended up at this very chic cafe to grab a couple coffees and açaí bowls for the road. Things are so chaotic right now, but they managed to be very sweet people and pulled together our to-go order. It is attached to an art gallery that you can peruse and shop while you wait. This little cafe was actually really hoppin. It was busy! There were at least 5 tables with customers being waited on ( a lot during the "corona" quarantine-I think they had just opened back up). The one waitress and 2 or 3 kitchen staff (2 of which I think were the owners) were really doing their best to handle everything in an efficient manner. Our bowls were made right in front of us. I wish we could have stayed and sat at the beautiful bar/counter they have. We will definitely make our way back there to peruse the art gallery and have a glass of wine. Our açaí bowls were delicious. The coffee was not the best, we actually (being coffee snobs) chucked it. I ordered iced coffees and they gave us regular coffees. Things were a bit hectic to say the least, but I am not holding it against them. It was clean, they had their masks on and they were truly busting their behinds to please their customers. I yelped 'best tuna sandwich' in Fallbrook and found this hidden gem. My husband and I enjoyed a very delicious meal together, the tuna was wonderful - but there are walnuts in the tuna - not for everyone but I loved it! Hubby had the hot ham sandwich on a croissant with a cup of their homemade chicken poblano soup - delicious! But beyond the great food (and iced tea), we were incredibly impressed by the service. Friendly, prompt, and great follow up! The very kind lady who served us was so thorough - she kept her eye on us to insure we had all we needed. She was in fact working so hard, I asked if she was the owner. Surprisingly she said no, as she looked after her customers with great care - a missing quality in most dining establishments these days.
