There is mango sorbet in here!
    Mario L.

I overdid it when I came here and I only spent about $25. From the kitchen: Two tacos dorados/crunchy de adobada Two chicken enchiladas From the oven/bakery: Two empanadas de fresa/strawberry Two conchas (a chocolate and a vanilla) Two ojos de buey pan dulce/a strawberry coconut pastry Juices/Smoothies/Aguas frescas: A mangonada A strawberry agua fresca The kitchen... The tacos come with everything but the kitchen sink; queso fresco, crema agria/sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, and some good hot sauce on the side. The chicken enchiladas were amazing. The food is really good and very consistent. The kitchen is definitely quality over quantity but I had more to eat. The bakery... The empanadas are always good, I really like the apple but they were all strawberry, not a bad thing. The ojos de buey look like hostess snowballs but taste nothing alike. They are more like a fine ground corn muffin glazed in strawberry and dusted with coconut shavings. The conchas are for breakfast! Juices/Smoothings/Aguas frescas... The mangonada was better than I expected because of the mango ice cream. Well, it's more like a sorbet. The chamoy candy syrup was really sour but the mango sorbet and pieces were fantastic. It all comes with a chamoy candy stick to satisfy that sweet, salty, sour craving. The strawberry agua fresca was really refreshing. They also had horchata, cantaloupe, and chayote/squash/gourd/melon/cucumber like thing. I was on a strawberry kick though! The bakery opens pretty early like 5am and the kitchen opens at 8am. The kitchen closes early. If I remember correctly, 8pm.

I drive 20m to Fallbrook just to get pan dulce, the quality you can taste! Not too sweet, but not too plain, just right!

Best Mexican in Fallbrook, by far. All their food is freshly made and it shows. My faves are shredded beef fried tacos and any enchiladas.

I don't know how they make it and they won't tell me but they WILL sell it to you. I wish they had birria but birria isn't easy to find in many Mexican restaurants. I'm sure if they did have it it would be fantastic. Their pico is very watery and could use a bit of thickening but tastes ok. The kids absolutely love the rice here. The beans are good but a little bland. I had the Adobada taco which was absolutely out of this world. The red Chile spices were spot on. My lunch date had beef flautas which were delicious. I gave 4 stars simply because the green sauce is so amazing and you absolutely cannot find it anywhere else. We sat outside on the patio which was very pleasant. All the patrons at lunch were outside on the patio. The bathrooms are extremely clean although you do have to go outside the building around the back to use the restroom. That's fine because it's a lot better than having to walk through the kitchen. If you're ever in Fallbrook look this place up and try to have a meal here. Don't forget the green sauce and always ask for more!

This place has always been our go to Mexican restaurant when we come down here. We came on cinco de mayo which was busy and we had waited 20 minutes for a table which we expected. So we placed are order. Wife asked for the 2 taco special with no sour cream. I order the same thing with no cheese or sour cream. I did that cause I'm lactose intolerant. The waitress stated that they can't substitute? I'm not substituting anything. Just don't add it. The "manager" came over and said we can't substitute? I stated I'm not substituting anything, just don't want cheese or sour cream. He said since they're busy cause of cinco de mayo they can't do it which tells me they can't handle a large amount of customers and there food they make in the back there cooks are auto pilot and get devate from the normal operation. We have been here before and "NEVER" had a problem with the way we ordered but today was an issue which tells me things are difficult especially if busy. We will not be back cause it was just a simple request and they couldn't fulfill that. We went over to Rosa's and tortilla factory which is down the street and it was good and "much cheaper ". I will never recommend Guadalajara to anyone anymore cause they couldn't handle a simple request.
