I drove here from Temecula, we've been to a few decent spots here but it's been a while since we've had something more authentic, and let me tell you it is so worth the drive! Follow their instagram for more details on hours of operation but I arrived here on a sunday morning around 9 am, but come early because these are some seriously delicious foods that sell out! The staff is very friendly and caring, they act fast to get your food out the second you place the order! There is some seating and also parking down the street or in a little lot, not sure if they let you park on the property but definitely ask! Once i came home i shared this meal with my family, and value wise it is so worth the price. The carnitas and chicken are delicious, full of flavor, make sure to put the pickled onions with your taco, total game changer! Sergio is the nicest guy ever. He was so nice to put aside some chicharron for me since I kept missing it. I've been trying to catch him every Sunday but you really gotta go early to get everything you want because things sell out fast by 10-11 am. The chicharons are meaty & crispy. Both chicken & carnitas tender & flavorful. The red salsa was so good & has a nice kick. He has a food truck that he puts up every Sunday in Fallbrook. He has canopy's, tables, & chairs if you want to eat there. And easy parking near his setup. Looking forward to have him cater my next party. read more

The carnitas here are so good and flavorful! I suggest coming early because they run out quick. I wanted Chicharron and it was gone. Next time I'm coming early. Since my original review the wife and I had the pleasure of attending another venue where Carnitas Paracho Garibay catered the event. Oh, how we forgot how great the food was! This remembrance caused me to follow up, after day dreaming about the delicious food, to come here and find out the location I could buy some of Sergio's (the man in charge of this crew) carnitas! They only sell, to the public, on Sunday mornings in Fallbrook. I contacted Sergio at the number listed and he provide me the address of 229 W. Alvarado St. (BTW, I have submitted a request to Yelp to update this location). I made the journey this past Sunday and will never regret it! I initially was planning to purchase just Carnitas; but I ended up also purchasing chicharones, beans and salsa verde (see attached photos). Everything was DELICIOUS! The chicharones were loaded with meat, especially compared to when I have purchase it from Mexican markets, and not too hard (most were very chewable for those concerned about breaking a tooth haha). The beans were as great as we remembered from the catering venues; and the salsa verde (green sauce) is the best I have ever eaten ( as are the carnitas)! There is plenty of parking on-site, on the street, or across the street at the library parking lot. When I arrived at about 7:30am there were people leaving with their purchases, as well as few eating at tables set up out front if inclined. Pops was busy working his magic, on the property, making MORE of the good stuff! Incredible is the only way to describe it! I highly recommend getting their early, because I was told that it gets crazy starting around 8:30am and they shut down once they sell out. read more

A lot of people in SD must not know what good carnitas are really like. Somebody asked me why I would drive 30 minutes just for some carnitas. Lol just look at it! I would never confess this to my Mexican grandmother but Sergio's carnitas were the BEST I've ever had. THE BEST. We booked him and his team to cater my grandmas birthday party in April but my cousin and I decided to come check out his food in downtown Fallbrook this past Sunday and I'm so glad we did! Beyond being very professional, you can taste the love he puts into the food. I'm recommending him for all my friend and family parties. We booked them for our party and they exceeded all expectations! We had the carnitas, carne asada and pollo tacos . The rice, beans, salsa and sauces were lick-the-plate-good! The family recipe, top notch! Service was oustanding, the family was friendly, the whole operation was very professional and efficient-- like a well oiled machine. Found this gem today by lucky accident. They only operate on Sunday until they sell out. Quick, fresh, authentic! Had already eaten breakfast, so we just tried a pollo taco ($2) and a carnitas taco (2.50). Both were chock full of meat. They provide their green salsa on the side which has just enough kick to it. They sell their meat by the pound ($6 to $12 per pound depending on the meat) if you want to make your own tacos. read more

The best carnitas I've ever had, downright dangerous. I only eat them once in a while as a special treat but I would eat these tacos every day if I could!! I don't know what they're doing to make them so good but I wish I had this skill for when I move back east. read more

Awesome service. Very attentive. They are making the carnitas right there. The smell is just amazing. Got 5 straight carnitas tacos and 5 mixed tacos. They were very good. I would probably add a little more spice to the salsa but that's just personal preference. The salsa they give you is really tasty. I can see why they run out sometimes. Great food! A must try. I drive 15 miles and pass numerous restaurants to get the chicken and carnitas here. So worth it.
