I had a really good experience here. Don't be fooled by a little hole in the wall. They make everything from scratch so things take a little bit longer as you see by some reviews but it's quality! When I went in I was just going to get a slice of pizza for dinner cuz I went to the market next door. I was surprised to see that they also did sandwiches and salads and she told me that she would make it however I liked it. I ended up getting the sausage sandwich on a roll and she asked if I wanted to have any extra veggies. I said make it the best way you know how. The tomato sauce was phenomenal it was full to the brim with cheese spicy sausage and phenomenal red sauce with onions spinach and red peppers added to it. Very flavorful! I will definitely be back. My favorite pizza place been going here for YEARS. Haven't been in a while. Ordered supreme pizza and 1/2 antipasto. There were so many toppings that I had to take some off just to lift a slice. The 1/2 salad is enough for a whole family. Everything is so fresh and very high quality. Pet peeve is canned mushrooms which they do not use. Only tip is whenever they give you a time for pick up and 10 minutes . I have never known them to give an accurate P/U time but hey, at least it's hot not sitting out. read more

Pizza is good. Place is small but close to home so I would prefer to go here over village pizza. However, they tell you pizza will be done 20-30 minutes and every time I show up I wait an extra 30-45 minutes in the small building where it is crammed with others waiting. Feels like waiting on an airplane for everyone to get off the plane but longer. At least I can appreciate Village Pizza will say it takes 30 minutes and be done on time. Everytime I've gone here they have been extremely late to get the pizza done. I would like to see more honest times and pizza done on time. read more

Great little pizza joint in Fallbrook tucked away in a small plaza. Very close to the new construction neighborhoods off the 15. I placed a phone order for a Meat Combo pizza, Chicken Alfredo pizza, mozzarella sticks, and garlic parmesan sticks. As recommended in the reviews and knowing they were probably backed up, I gave them an additional 20 minutes before picking up and they were still wrapping up my order when I arrived. They forgot the mozzarella sticks but a nice worker ran out to let me know before I left. The specialty pizzas are loaded, especially the meat combo one. We ordered the 16" for both pizzas and the two pizzas could have easily fed 6-8 people. Mozzarella sticks and garlic parmesan sticks were okay. The garlic parmesan sticks (you can order a half order or full order - we ordered full) was cooked like a pizza crust so it kind of felt like pizza overload. Will definitely be back and very happy we have them as our local Fallbrook pizza joint. read more

Sauce first was perfect sweet and lots of oregano! The cheese was thick and gooey! The crust perfectly dusted with parmesan and cooked to perfection. Deleciousoso!!! Kimmie the chef and mom was very kind and gracious and told me the history of her family previously owning the Rainbow Oaks restaurant back when my parents use to go there and even last year ordered holiday meals that lasted my mom and I for days!!!! I wanted to like this place alot, but the pizza fell just short. We ordered an alfredo sauce with chicken, red onion, and artichoke. The person on the phone asked if we wanted additional ingredients (their words, not mine). No, we said, just the alfredo, chicken, red onion and artichoke. The person asked a second time if we wanted additional ingredients. So now we figure we pay a little more and we get more of the toppings that we ordered (quantity-wise). We also ordered a pepperoni, sausage, black olive pizza. When we arrived to pick-up the pizza, Eli repeated the order, alfredo sauce, chicken, red onion, and artichoke with additional ingredients and and a pepperoni, sausage, black olive pizza. When we got back to the campground at Pala and tore-open the boxes ready to dig-in, we had a sausage and black olive pizza no pepperoni and a pizza that I don't have any idea what the hell it was....there were onions, mushrooms (lots-I HATE mushrooms), basil or spinach, artichoke, no chicken, and some unidentifiable sauce...it wasn't alfredo, and I don't think it was good ole red pizza sauce. And yum So go to the market and get yourself a refreshing drink and some fruit or whatever, head next door and order your pizza to go home and get a magical Tri tip sandwich to eat while you wait at The Rib Pit! Walking in the place it has a cozy feel nothing special reminds me of a old school pizza shop. I placed an order for a medium pizza and full antipasto salad. I decided to dine in and wait. As I was waiting and waiting and waiting I noticed other customers come in after me order and get their orders before mine. This happened several times. After an hour of waiting I spoke up, apparently my ticket got lost so the order was never put in. Took another 20 minutes for them to make the order a total of a hour and 20 minutes for a salad and medium pizza!! The pizza was not that good. A step above a frozen pizza. It had no plush crust and it's thin, to much oregano in the pizza sauce. The salad, I could make way better salads at home. The meat taste cheap, the Italian dressing needs more flavor. The cheese on top was shredded pizza mozzarella. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the owner came out to speak to me and apologized for the delay. She compensated me 20% off my bill. Pala Mesa Pizza not only has excellent hometown service treating customers with family pride, the food is top notch with fresh whole food ingredients only. I have a feeling they don't have a can opener in the kitchen. My absolutely favorite for pizza and salad. Gonna try a calzone next time!
