Great veal, pasta, tartufo. August 2024, CASA DI GIORGIO Excellent service, reasonably priced, very good food. I've been a fan since their Jarvis/Esplanade location. We had the exquisite lemon veal special and penné rosé. Even the potatoes, carrots and zucchini were cooked to perfection. Add in some wine and a little ice cream on the patio and it made for a fine evening. (We managed to appreciate the ambiance by ignoring the road construction and occasional passing bus.) We left happy and grateful.

In town visiting friends walking along Queen Street looking for someplace to have dinner in mid August. We can upon Casa Di Giorgios and stopped by. It was a warm early evening and we were initially seating inside but the heat from the pizza oven made it uncomfortable. We are re-seated outside and it was nice to have a little breeze. The staff were friendly and attentive. I opted for the spaghetti and meatballs...how can one go wrong. I like the sauce and it was just the right portion size. We shared a nice Chianti with the meal and it was a nice compliment to the pasta. It was a positive food experience and happy to recommend Casa Di Giorgios.

WOOF! What an embarrassing meal. if you like anything that resembles authentic Italian food, this probably isn't the place for you. We spent $85 on takeout (3 entrees, 1 salad). My toddlers pomodorro and the free bread were by far the best thing we received in this mess. I got the tagliatelle w/ chicken and mushrooms - it arrived in a bunch of liquid, lacked flavor and the chicken was tough, precooked and complete with fake grill marks. It had been incorporated into the dish at the very end. Not what I'd expect from one of the most expensive pastas on their menu. My husbands spaghetti bolognese was bland and didn't really have any meat? We order takeout frequently in Leslieville and Queen East and this was awful. Just please don't order from here.

Really good pasta I had the spaghetti and meat balls with meat sauce and I also ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Both dishes were really good and the portion size was insane both dishes could feed more than 2 people. This place will see me again once the city opens back up! Reasonable priced for two ppl at $32.99 with delivery

Yum. Next time I'll try the Fungi. Finally, somebody who understands how important simplicity is when it comes to making a great pizza. That being said, if I had made this at home with my pizza stone, I would have added more goat cheese and prosciutto, with less mozzarella. I was pleasantly surprised to find the ginger ale was a bottle size instead of a can. Update: don't order the Fungi.

This is your perfect place for dinner anytime of the week nothing fancy and very casual. Food is delicious, it comes in big portions and very affordable prices. This is an authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of The Beaches. They have all your Italian favorites in the menu. I usually order the mussels as a starter (One order in enough to share between two or three people) You can never go wrong with the classic chicken or veal Parmesan served with a side of red spaghetti. Another of my favorites is the pescatori pasta served in a tomato sauce with clams, shrimps and mussels. Drinks are good and very affordable. You can order a glass or even a bottle of wine without breaking the bank, just like if you were in Italy! Pay attention to the specials because they have some great ones some times such as the filet mignon in a bed of grilled vegetables and mushrooms, voila! Service is great they have staff that has been there for years such as Catherina and Silvana. When you arrive to the restaurant feels like arriving to your aunts house for dinner, high five to Catherina! Best service and great food in the neighborhood.

A note of appreciation to Ted Havaris and his chef Mohammed, for hosting me along with six guests, for lunch this week. When we arrived at 1:00 pm, we discovered that the restaurant didn't open until 4:00pm. The back door was open, however, and I went in to say that it was unfortunate as my guests were here from HQ of Unique Vacations - the brand that represents Sandals & Beaches Resorts. Ted without hesitation, opened the restaurant to accommodate us. He served us himself with some of the best food my guests have ever enjoyed. High praise coming from people who represent a luxury brand and hire 5 star chefs for the restaurants at all of their resorts. Our meal choices included sea bass, grilled salmon, risotto, pasta fusilli with seafood, grilled calamari, lasagna, pizza and "the best" tiramisu we've ever had. The latter was on the house. I can't offer enough praise for Ted for accommodating us and my thanks must be extended to Mohammed who obviously prepares every dish, with both passion and love. PS. It was so good that they called the next day to ask if we could return and Ted gladly obliged. In a day and age where great customer service seems to be a dying art, it is wonderful to see that people like Ted, still exist. We are all looking forward to returning again and again. Free parking for guests too.

It was a full house, but luckily there was one table left for two. The servers and staffs are very nice, but our waitress pushed a dish on me that I didn't order. I ordered their Calamari Fritti (fried calamari with marinara sauce), and yet a plate of grilled calamari on a bed of salad was served. I verified with the waitress saying I ordered Calamari Fritti, yet she insisted that it was what I ordered. I didn't want to argue or make a fuss over it. At the end, we were charged "Grilled Calamari" on our bill. With this unfortunate experience, I won't be back, and I can't recommend this place.

The grilled squid with salad was good, although a bit salty burnt. Btw, The mussels that I ordered was not fresh. Some of them has strong fishy smell. Service was good. I will try their pasta next time.

There is an upstairs balcony seating but I've never sat there. During warm weather, there is plenty of roadside outdoor seating too. This is my fourth time here but I never wrote a review fir the restaurant before. We ordered the following: 1. Shrimp Perno (daily special $6/shrimp). Jumbo Shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, tomatoes, scallions, and finished off with a shot of perno liquor. 2. Rack of Lamb (daily special $59.95). Four pieces of lamb in a rack, with a rich portion wine reduced sauce, that has a touch of mint to it, and Penne Pasta in a tomato rose sauce. The table bread was really good. The crust was crispy but the inside was fluffy. The soft butter that came it was so tasty. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce that came with the shrimp. We asked for a second basket of bread and they put two loafs in the second basket. It was too much so they were willing to let us take it home. The shrimps were definitely jumbo. It was so filling. Two pieces (per person) were good enough as an appetizer. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. We requested the lamb be cooked medium rare. It was definitely medium rare. It was juicy and did not have a gamey taste. It tastes great. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The tomato rose sauce was really good. They offered to grind parmesan cheese and pepper so we got both. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-187

It's a dining experience you don't see every day in Toronto. Even the washrooms are memorable, tucked away in the basement in what used to be old jail cells, which adds to the charm and gives the whole place a bit of personality. We went for an early Sunday dinner before a concert at Massey Hall. The restaurant got pretty busy as the evening went on, but it never felt chaotic. The atmosphere is lovely and lively, a great choice for a special night out or a pre-show meal. We started with Calamari alla Griglia with mixed greens, capers, onions, and fresh tomatoes. It was a fresh, bright appetizer with good balance. For mains, my date had the Spaghetti in Canna a Mare with clams, mussels, calamari, scallop, and tiger shrimp in a tomato sauce. The menu described it as mildly spicy, but it definitely had a noticeable kick. Still, the flavours were really good. I ordered the Ravioli al Brasato with braised beef, butter, sage, and parmigiano. It was tasty and comforting, though portion-wise I could have used a few more ravioli. I was still a bit hungry after and honestly double the size would have been perfect for me. For dessert we shared the Tiramisu with espresso-soaked savoiardi, mascarpone, and cocoa. I had an amaro while my date finished with zambuca. A sweet and satisfying way to wrap up the meal. The service was friendly, though drinks came out a bit slower than expected. Terroni's food is tasty, the setting is gorgeous, and it's easy to see why locals keep coming back. It's not cheap, but the quality and ambience make it worth trying, especially for dinner before a show or a relaxed date night in one of Toronto's most unique spaces.

There were four flights of stairs to get up to the first floor with the bar and main dining area. There was another two flights of stairs to get to the upper bar (which I was too tired to walk up to). The drinks at the bar were good and the staff were all great. We started with passed apps. Some of the flavour combinations were just off (the skewer with fruit, cheese and something else) - like they paired the wrong cheese with the fruit. The meal itself was a seat down meal (family style) which did take over two hours to complete for the amount of guests that were present (over 200 ppl). My favorite dish was the tomato and mozza salad. My most disappointed dish was the ragu pasta. Though containing a good amount of meat it was not saucy at all. The pizza was the brocolini was good as well. The reason I gave this restaurant three stars is strictly for the lack of elevator and the food quality vs the price. For what you are paying, there is so much higher quality food in the city and I honestly think you can get better bang for buck elsewhere.

This is a wine bar - the house lager was bad (maybe my own bad decision) and the red I got was fine ... nothing to write home about. However place fell apart with the food - the shrimp came with 5 medium sized shrimp with the tails, legs and shells on and were under seasoned. The artichokes were mediocre (loved the sauce they came with). Worst of all was the "Ontario peaches" with the burrata were totally canned peaches - could've even been dole brand! This place has amazing potential with the location and vibe - but the food just was not it. Small portions and the price didn't match what was served. The service was friendly but nothing too crazy. Our server was great at helping us pick our wine, he mentioned that their wines are all on the dry side which is perfect for me, I'm not one for sweet wines. We also had two of their small plates the mussels and the burrata. The mussels tasted great with the sauce, a little garlicky which I prefer. The combination of the peach and mint went really well with the burrata. Light and easy to eat. The patio at night is one of the highlights. The only small complaint was it did take a while to get our wine after we ordered it and a little while to get our check. Otherwise cute spot.
