First time trying Vivo through their takeout. Prosciutto Pizza: It was way too thin for my liking, would have preferred if it was a bit thicker especially with the amount of sauce that was added. There was a considerate amount of prosciutto however I was really disappointed by how there was barely any cheese and too much sauce. Penne Vodka Pasta: The sauce was decently creamy. Although, I highly recommending adding an additional topping such as meat or seafood as the flavour would have been bland without any sort of toppings. Overall, it wasn't completely bad but nothing that stands out to revisit again. Especially with a large variety of Italian spots in the Etobicoke area, there are other suitable options.

Newly opened in the Etobicoke area. Not far from Sherway Gardens! Came for an early dinner and it was quiet. Our server/owner was very chatty, gave us great recommendations and description of portion size as we were asking him how much we should order for a party of 4. What I ordered: Gnocchi Carbonara Prosciutto pizza Daily special pasta We ended up ordering four dishes to share. And the carbonara was hands down everyone's favourite! But the portion sizes were relatively small. I feel like if we came in with an empty stomach, it wouldnt be enough. Would keep this place in mind when im in the area for dinner!

4.5 What a great experience! Even my bf quite enjoyed himself and said he would defs come back...maybe become a regular lol. We came on a Friday evening and there were quite a lot of people already, they also had a party coming in, so it's good we came when we did. It was pretty much full by the time we left. It also isn't that big of a resto. I ordered the rigatoni bolognese and my bf ordered the fettuccini Alfredo. The food came out quickly, which I was very impressed with. We really got there at a good time lol. We also asked for some chilli flakes with our pasta and my bf got some really spicy bites, so beware! I would have liked my pasta to be cooked a minute or two longer. It was a little stiff but nothing that didn't make me enjoy the meal. I ate allll that ish up. It was a fair portion. I was able to eat it all but I was SUPER full after. The bolognese sauce was great. You could tell it's made with love. I actually really enjoyed my bf's fettuccini Alfredo. This is one of the best I've had in a very long time. There was so much creamy garlic flavour. Sometimes, usually, Alfredos come through flat and bland but not this one. At the end of our meal my bf actually said he enjoyed mine more and I said I enjoyed his more lol. I love the atmosphere of the resto. The owner or manager? Is such a nice man. He came to every table to check up on everyone and he was also serving. He was doing it all. There were regulars there and you could tell that he's built great relationships with them. All servers that night actually were so sweet and friendly. The whole experience was really nice and refreshing.

Tried this via Uber eats. Everything was so salty it wasn't edible. You're better off having pasta sauce from a can. The focaccia tasted like pita bread with a ton of salt in it.

Vivo is located in a SmartCentres mall just west of 427 and North Queen on the north side. There's a Marshalls in this big mall but this restaurant is actually closer the 5 Guys burgers and is beside a Sunset Grill. There seem to be a bunch of restaurants in this mall and while the storefront is not very wide it could be easy to miss. I can only assume they have a wood burning oven here but at the back is what seems to be a very large and wide oven which is familiar for places that serve Neapolitan style pizza. The thing that really makes Vivo a bit different is that they have more than just pizza. Sure they have one big oven in the back that specializes in making pizza but they also have pasta. Places like Libretto don't have pasta and 850 has only a few choices. For Vivo it's more of a half/half type thing. Because I was sort of torn between having pizza or pasta I decided to go the way of greed and that's to order both. I really felt like having the carbonara and I wanted something even more savory in the Nduja pizza. I'm not an expert like my friend Franco who is from the hometown where real N'duja comes from but then again Vivo doesn't have VPN certification but I still like Neapolitan style pizza even if places aren't certified because they can still be good. I noticed for the red sauces they mention San Marzano tomatoes and things like Fior di latte so they do use the good stuff. My wife ended up going with the Patata which came with onions and thinly sliced pancetta. I liked my wife's pizza but I especially like the N'duja and I even added some chili pepper paste to spice things up even more. The crust is thin and unlike some of the Neapolitan pizzas I'm used to none of it seemed charred and the middle wasn't runny. It's more evenly cooked but not as chewy either. Also the pizza was cut into six. Some Neapolitan places won't cut the pizza into slices but Vivo does. I liked the pizza although it's a little different than VPN style like what Libretto or Pizza e Pazzi have. As for the pasta the carbonara was well done. I liked the bowl and the serving size was deceiving. The bowl is a really large serving of pasta in a tight ball. Once it's moved only then can it be seen how large the portion really is. Just like when having any kind of meat pasta at home, only when you get to the end will you get a majority of the meat crumbles but in this case it was finely diced pancetta. I liked the pasta cooked al dente and I didn't even ask and it was served as such. For dessert which order very rarely I decided to go with the blueberry cheesecake. The graham crumble on the side was a nice touch as I was able to mix it in with the cheesecake to add a bit more crunch to the rich cheesecake. Overall I liked pasta, pizza and cheesecake. As far as the menu goes they have a good selection between pizza, pasta and even starters with a few choices for dessert. It seems Vivo uses quality ingredients in addition to having a nice variety of choices. Although I already eat my fair share of Italian food on a regular basis, I wouldn't mind coming back from time to time to get sit down pizza or pasta, or both.

Shares the same parking lot as Nando's, Sunset Grill, Five Guys, & Marshalls.

I'd liken this place to a West-end Marcello's! I've been looking for an affordable Italian place and just ended up at bakeries - which is fine, but sometimes I just want a nicer atmosphere and this had it. Location: Across the road from Sherway Gardens, past Walmart/Winners, sharing the same parking lot as Marshall's, tucked behind Nando's. Area is primarily Commercial, some Industrial, mainly for shopping. Prices: In comparison to other Italian restaurants, Vivo offers blanket pricing so all Apps - $11, Pizzas/Pastas - $15, Desserts - $6. There are also Daily Specials - $23. Pastas at other joints can easily be $20+! Why? It boggles my mind. Portions: GOOD. You will have leftovers. I probably ate 1/2 of the portion of gnocchi - and that was shared. We packed up a coupla slices of pizza. Food: We ordered Gnocchi with Bolognese sauce (meat) and Primavera Pizza. Server suggested the Bolognese as opposed to the Pomodoro. Gnocchi were nice and soft. Pizza was thin, not too crispy, still soft. Between the 2 dishes, we preferred the pasta. What I noticed was that the food was just a bit under-seasoned. So don't expect your tastebuds to go off immediately! The flavour is there, but if you're used to lotsa salt OR dine out a lot, it may come off as bland. Great option if you're near Sherway and don't feel like any mall food!

A delighted surprise! To be honest, I walked into this place knowing it was a franchise restaurant. This place exceeded my expectations! Food was fast and service was efficient. The restaurant feels modern vs. upscale dining, but food was up to par. We ordered a pizza and pasta both priced at $15 each. You could also explore their daily special priced at $23. At this price point, you would be expecting a Scaddabush setting which is kind of a miss, but I promise, their food makes up for it. We ordered the prosciutto pizza and the spaghetti agile e olio. The cooked pizza dough was delicious and extremely tasty. The Spaghetti was not spicy and noodles were made to al dente. We had a great meal!

Decent margherita, bit saltier than I prefer. Nice addition to Etobicoke/North Queen. At $15 it's a bit pricey, $11-12 be nice...

Must visit spot in the area. Wonderful authentic Italian food. Staff is friendly and helpful, they add to the great atmosphere of this great little spot.

Salami pizza. Very stingy with the meat and cheese.
    Tracy C.

I decided to order the salami pizza for takeout one evening. It was a very tasty pizza; thin crust, flavorful dough and toppings but they were stingy on the cheese and meat. Just six little pieces of salami and a few dollops of flor di latte. It was almost like the pizza was meant to be an appetizer for two to share. I would only buy it again if it was about $5 but I'm not paying $15 + tax for that.

Looks delicious -- but staff hygiene is gross! Waiter fixed a table leg from rocking then cut lemons, the chef is sweating and wiping his hands on his apron.

We had the Truffled Mushroom Risotto (5/5) and the Prime Striploin (5/5), as well as tiramisu and creme brulee for dessert. Truffled Musshroom Risotto had shavings of the wild mushrooms. The dish had the rich aroma of the truffles which we delightfully indulged ourselves with. I highly recommend ordering this dish because no other place makes it quite like Via Allegro. Prime Striploin was cooked to perfection. It was so tender and juicy. We liked how they didn't have it with any gravy, letting their culinary technique with the steak speaks for itself. The potatoes were nice and crispy on the outside, yet smooth on the inside. The vegetables were cooked nicely. The desserts were satisfying, a great way to finish off our meals. I would come back again. Highly recommend this place for celebrating special occasions and/or to satisfy your cravings for Italian dishes. However, I got pulled into the planning details as a consultant, especially when it came down to finding a place to eat. I'm glad that they consulted me. I really should charge a fee... haha! My manager originally said that we should go to The Keg. I immediately shot that suggestion down because our vegetarians on our team would be miserable eating salad and bread. We needed a more inclusive eatery for lunch. We were doing pottery painting at Crock a Doodle. While one of my peers was setting things up with this store, the staffer suggested dining at 850 Degrees Pizzeria, which was across the street. I looked at the menu. The wood-fired pizzas looked incredible. It also had gluten-free and vegetarian options. Perfect! My friend and I had parked on a side street. Our manager parked behind us. We walked over to this eatery together. It's free parking on a side street. You can park on Lake Shore Boulevard, but it's paid parking until 6 pm. We were the first folks to arrive at noon. We had a reservation and got a long table for the ten of us. I had looked at the menu before coming here. I knew what pizza I'd be ordering. I also ordered an appetizer to share with others. I got the following items: - Shiny peach cider - Meatballs with garlic bread - Oh, Canada pizza My Shiny peach cider came out. I got a glass with ice. I poured my drink into the glass. The peach flavour was subtle. It tasted watered down. My friend to my right got the Shiny apple cider. She let me have a sip. It was yummy. I should have got that flavour instead. My meatballs with garlic bread came out next. OMG! This appetizer was incredible. The meatballs were beef. They were juicy. It was effortless cutting through them. You can also get vegan meatballs that are a mixture of chickpeas and mushrooms. The sauce was bright and fresh. The garlic bread was really pizza bread with garlic and butter on it. It was excellent dipping it into the sauce and eating it with the meatballs. I shared them with my manager and friend across from me. They loved them, too. Whenever I see a cracked egg on a pizza, I have to order it. So, I got the Oh, Canada. I love that each pizza has a Canadian-related backstory to its name. As a hockey fan, it was nice seeing Lord Stanley as a pizza. Oh, Canada had maple bacon, egg, fior di latte cheese, and tomato sauce. This pizza was excellent. The maple bacon was wonderful. It has a smokiness with the maple flavour. My egg was runny when I sliced through it. It was excellent with the tomato sauce. I highly recommend getting it if you love maple bacon and a runny egg. It felt like breakfast on a pizza. The crust had pillowy, chewy edges and was crispy underneath. Depending on the type of pizza, the base can be soggy because it's thin. I had a slice of my friend's Group of Seven pizza, which was a bit soggy. My Oh, Canada was fine. The Group of Seven pizza had goat cheese, tomatoes, spinach, roasted red peppers, olives, parmesan cheese, and fior di latte cheese. Maybe it got soggy because it had more cheese and toppings than my pizza. My manager got the Grand River pizza. It's essentially a wild, fancy version of a meat lover's pizza. It had spicy Calabrese salami, local ham, wild boar sausage, Niagara prosciutto, fior di latte cheese, and tomato sauce. I got to enjoy a slice. It had a spicy kick to it from the salami that was delightful. I loved the sausage that didn't taste gamey. The prosciutto looked like pretty ribbons on the pizza that were delicious, with a smokey subtle taste to them. Yum! You can get dairy-free cheese on request. Some of my colleagues opted for pasta. The beef ravioli and pappadelle di funghi looked fantastic. I need to return to get one or both of these dishes. They loved their food. I used the washroom before we left this eatery to do pottery painting. The women's washroom was clean. The downside was that the mirror was mounted rather low. I saw my midsection only through the mirror. If you're shorter, you'll be fine seeing your reflection without doing a squat. I thanked the man making all these pizzas in the kitchen. The pizzas were delicious. He appreciated the kind words. He worked so hard to get our pizzas to us in a timely manner and did it seamlessly. I had an excellent experience. You can order online and do takeout. I will need to remember to do that next time I'm in the office. I'll swing by and grab dinner here. (348)
