Service was amazing the server was so nice and was fast too. They have a ton of space inside so getting a table wasn't hard either. Ambiance is similar to other locations. We ordered a ton of food ! First we got the freshly made mozzarella with balsamic vinegar, hazelnuts, honey, and olive oil. It's a beautiful pairing together and truly my favourite thing to order. Next we got the Diavolo pizza which has pepperoni, red hot pepper, beef crumble, honey drizzle, and Kalamata olives. This was a great sweet and spicy pizza! For 50% off spaghetti day today we got a classic spaghetti and meatball which reminded me of a margarita pizza. Loved the basil and pesto around the side. Got the spaghetti carbonara as well and that was a great buttery bacon flavour. Love scaddabush! Will be returning here for sure!

So a different scaddabush experience -- I'll set the scene for y'all, I had helped a friend clear a storage locker - this was this past Wednesday night - it was 4degrees out so we were cold and hangry, we arrived to a 40% occupied restaurant - lots of empty tables, 1 host and 1 couple ahead of us - the hostess asked for a name and number and advised they will let us know when there's a table available, so while we stood waiting - the hostess all but disappeared, after 5 minutes of waiting - while still seeing so many set and empty seating beside areas that had people dining - I asked another staffer what the delay in getting us seated might be, I got a response that was a cross between defensive I'm not the hostess and we don't have the staff available , so at the 10 minute wait as we were about to leave we got seated - a bottle of water and 2 glasses and a waitress intro in short order they took our drink order, my dinner partner grilled the waitress on why we had to wait - essentially it was a management decision to cut costs and have reduced servers So my issue was they had table set but somehow they think it's better to have people stand and wait as opposed to seat them with water and a chance to sit and review the menu, the latter being a much better use of a persons time, our server was on top of things and couldn't understand why we were left waiting, I think this is my 2nd time giving g Scaddabush a try - the food is okay - the prices are high but dishes can be shared so that helps. The decor is a cool rescued collection of antiques I think if scaddabush wants to get me back they need to ensure you don't needlessly have people standing waiting when there's no need for it !

Arrrived at Scaddabush with an open mind and empty stomach. Unfortunately, the food and drinks missed the mark. Drinks were pretty but very light and watered down. Same goes for the coffee. 2/5 The polenta fries were overly salty and bland but crust and tomato sauce, delightful. 3/5 Italian burger was good but fries were cold...not warm-cold. 2/5 The butchers pizza. Totally underwhelming and disappointing. Every ingredient was simply bland. 0/5 We sat in the beautiful indoor patio style room where the decor is warm and fresh air circulates from large open windows. 5/5 Our server was kind and professional. 4/5 The washrooms were in very bad condition. Paper all over the floor stalls, toilets messy and sink counter soaked. I would not return.

Stefanie is more than just a waitress, she completely sets the tone for your dining experience. All of her recommendations were delicious, her customer service was impeccable and her personality was upbeat. From the beginning to the end she never stopped smiling. I can't wait to come back!

This location was good, the service was good, the server we had was busy, but he tried his best to get to us, even though it took a bit too long at one point but I understood. The food on the other hand came out very quickly! The pasta was cooked Al dente which was great and the pizza was fresh. The Ambiance was great, the place is beautiful but the music was a little loud.

    Lemon Garlic Shrimp Spaghetti

We ordered the lemon garlic shrimp spaghetti which was delightful for Scaddabush. I've only had on and off experiences with this restaurant, but I was not disappointed with this meal. The serving was great, definitely had some leftovers for the next day. The capers were a great touch to the dish. You can get this as a social dish or a regular dish which serves one. Service - It took a little while to get out meals but the staff were kind enough to apologize and give us free appetizers of Naked Mozzarella which was great. Nice experience near the end. I live around STC and I loved Scaddabush, it happens am in the west of the city and came to this place. Am disappointed with the brusseita, it has no taste ( just like eating plain tomatoes) with bread. I seated in the patio with picnic tables. The Staff are very nice.

Just moved to Toronto from Los Angeles. I've been craving a good bolognese for a week and glad I found this restaurant. Good wine selection and awesome bolognese. One of the best I've had--that includes bolognese in Florence, Italy!

SPECIAL COVID-19 EDITION REVIEW: SAFETY PRACTICES, PROTOCOLS AND MORE. OPEN DURING COVID-19. (Stage 3 of the province of Ontario reopening) This was my first time ever at Scaddabush, I've never tried it before but it's an Italian place. We tried to come here to celebrate an anniversary once, but ended up not because of it being packed. We finally had a chance to stop in and they did not disappoint. Parking was easy. Lots of spaces. They're open inside and outside. There's a patio outside. Walking up to the front, we were greeted by staff who asked for our phone number for contact tracing. A mask is required, however, at your table you're allowed to take it off. Scanning the QR code, your menu comes up on your phone. Brunch is only served on the weekends. We ended up ordering a medium rare steak and some amazing pasta. Pasta was fresh as f**k and the steak was amazing. However, they get a minus 1 for taking very long to get the order to us. Felt like forever. It was worth it though, because the steak was cooked well and the pasta was amazing. (See pictures) Service was... okay at best. It could've been much better all around. Could've been a 5 but truthfully I'll have to give them a 3.5/5. Wasnt good enough to justify a 4 but wasn't poor enough where I'd give them a 3/5. What they could've improved on: - Service could've been better. Staff didn't really check on the table to see if we were doing okay or needed anything. - Food came out very slowly, even drinks came slowly. That's not cool, especially at a restaurant.

My party of four visited during Taste of Oakville, and in hindsight, the evening foreshadowed…read moreitself early -- the restaurant's website was down with a 404 error, and we kept finding two different addresses (one apparently their old location). We eventually found it. Upon arrival, the door swung open and struck a seated guest -- a sign of just how small the space is. The restaurant was full except for one four-top (clearly ours), and we stood awkwardly in the entrance -- which is essentially inside the dining room -- waiting to be acknowledged. When greeted, we were asked if we had a reservation. We said yes. "Table for eight?" we were asked, which felt impossible given the size of the room. We clarified four, and were pointed to the only open table. No name was requested; we realistically could have just walked in and taken it. The space is starkly lit with aggressive bright white lighting that feels more clinical than cozy. The artwork is interesting and gives a gallery-like feel -- it seems the restaurant is aiming for a downtown Toronto wine bar aesthetic, but it doesn't quite land. Our table was missing water glasses, and the stemware was mismatched -- not in an intentional, charming way, but more in a "we ran out" way. Once seated, we weren't acknowledged or offered water for nearly 20 minutes. Not rushing guests is one thing; leaving them feeling forgotten is another. When our server finally arrived, the service set the tone for the evening. One glass of water was poured before he realized another was missing. He disappeared, returned with a glass, inspected it mid-pour, then walked away again (dirty glass). After several more trips and long gaps, everyone eventually received water -- about 15 minutes later. He was polite and friendly, just clearly untrained. He shared that the owner is also the sommelier, cook, and server, and that he liked working there because he wasn't expected to know much about wine -- an interesting admission for a wine bar. The owner greeted us warmly but asked only one guest about wine preferences -- ironically the only non-wine drinker at the table. The concept appeared to be sommelier-led, though this was never explained. If that is the intention, engaging the entire table is essential. That said, the wines themselves were enjoyable; the service surrounding them was not. The Taste of Oakville menu promised three curated 3-oz pours paired with a charcuterie board for two. The pours arrived unevenly and slowly, with little explanation of the pairings. The charcuterie boards were plain and inconsistent between tables despite containing similar items -- basic fruit, crostini, simple cured meats, small portions of brie, and two slices of truffle cheese. No crackers, spreads, or thoughtful touches elevated the experience, and presentation varied noticeably. Our second wine pour didn't arrive until our mains, and service moved so slowly we requested a wine list to order a bottle. We were told there is no wine list -- "we're not that kind of restaurant." Instead, all reds are $80 and all whites $70, and the owner selects the bottle for you after asking only red or white. The concept might work if explained upfront; without context, it was confusing. At one point, noticing my empty glass, our server poured me a random red -- which turned out to be the same wine as our first pour -- and then left without serving anyone else. We had to remind staff we were still waiting for our second curated pour. Nothing about the experience felt curated. The most surprising moment of the night came when our mains arrived. As we lifted our appetizer plates -- still holding olive pits, fruit rinds, and crumbs -- the servers told us not to worry about clearing them and proceeded to place our main dishes directly on top of the used plates. I'm still shocked. I wouldn't do that at home, let alone expect it at a Lakeshore, or quite frankly, any restaurant. Two of us ordered the tagliatelle, which was tasty but contained only two small pieces of short rib -- and was difficult to enjoy while staring at discarded rinds beneath the plate. The other two ordered brisket sliders: two sliders, no sides. They tasted good but left diners hungry. One guest joked they kept thinking the fruit rinds were fries -- unfortunately accurate. We tried to make the best of the evening, but it never delivered the cozy wine-and-charcuterie experience we had anticipated -- dim lighting, thoughtful pairings, something special. After finishing our meal, we requested our bills and reminded staff we were still waiting for the third curated pour. We were told "five minutes." Those five minutes never came. Eventually, wanting simply to leave, we paid a single combined bill and sorted it out ourselves. Dinner for four totaled $460. This was not the boutique Lakeshore dining experience we expected, and ultimately, it was deeply disappointing.

We were intrigued by it's fusion tapas style, even though we had originally thought that it was a Spanish tapas place. I was with a party of six, and we were served by an extremely friendly server that night. We ordered some tacos, flatbreads and a mango papaya salad. Each dish was quite well prepared, and since it was a mix of a lot of different cultures' foods, I was satisfied with the level of authenticity. However, because they were trying to do a lot of different styles, I feel like the quality was not as good as if they did something more focused. Also, I think it would be worth it to consider some more substantial dishes like a fried rice, etc. I know it's a tapas focused place, but I found that for a party of 6, I still didn't feel too satisfied after trying all the dishes we got. I hope that they can continue to upgrade their menu, because I think it's a really nice place already, but improvements can be made. I also think that since it's mostly serve in a back alley patio right now, there were a lot of wasps and it wasn't the cleanest back alley, so that is my other reason for giving this place 3 stars.
