I've been here several times and keep going back. Pros: - the servers are hard-working and aim to please - the interior is beautiful and inviting - the food is good in terms of quantity, variety and taste - there's ample parking in the large parking lot - the outdoor patio is nice with lots of plants Cons: - there's often a long wait to get a table - it's very noisy

I don't usually rate franchises, however, sometimes you just want a cold drink in a nice patio on summer day. They have a lovely patio at this location, with lush green vines, creating a canopy over most of the patio. It's like you're suddenly transported to an Europe country side. With the sun and slight breeze, it's the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon. We enjoyed our time here with a cider, the Sophia pizza and some polenta fries. They make great pizzas here as the dough is fluffy and crispy at the same time.

Went for a nice lunch with a friend. We shared the bomba fresh mozzarella with spicy bacon ragu. It was very good. I had the spaghetti and meatball. She had the sausage and fennel rigatoni. We liked both of these dishes. They are a large size and we both took leftovers hi me. The server was very good and friendly. The atmosphere was upscale Italian.

Came here to celebrate my birthday with a few friends, as I love coming out to Scaddabush HUGE NOTE: I would definitely make sure you have the Inspire Rewards app prior to coming!!!! Not only is it super easy to make a reservation, but there are many perks that you get to use (You get a free birthday dessert!) Food: - Definitely get yourself a fresh mozzarella any time you're here! They are always so delicious and one of the reasons I love this restaurant! We got the Naked mozzarella for the table - Caesar salad was delicious and crunchy, not over seasoned by dressing and bacon bits - Calamari Fritti is always amazing, I love the portion size as a shareable app for the table! - For pasta, I chose the Mushroom Truffle Mafalde! It was delicious and the fresh pasta always makes it that much better! Definitely a heavier pasta but a must try! Service: - Trish was our server and she was amazing! From checking on us and making sure our orders arrived okay, she definitely made my birthday dinner all the more enjoyable. Atmosphere: - It can definitely get a bit loud from time to time (especially during sports games), but it wasn't a bother to my friends and I as it felt like a very casual place where there are small dinners between friends and/or family, or larger groups such as coworkers, rec sports teams, or a large friend group gathered to celebrate something special together! Thanks to Trish and others around our area, so many people ended up singing happy birthday to me and despite my introverted personality, it definitely was very memorable and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and a fun place to celebrate with friends!

The food was good. We wished the 3 cheese charity bread was a bit softer. The Mushroom Truffle Mafalde and the Spaghetti & Meatball were both very good and filling (I ended up bringing home about half of the mushroom pasta). We came on a Saturday at 3:30/4, and we could tell that they were prepping for a dinner rush - they asked us if we would sit at a high top (not the best seats) when there were tons of tables available. Servers (not ours) were clearing tables around us and using a table beside us to drop off extra plates with half eaten food and left them there for a while, not the best look. Our server (Emma I think) was really kind and quick with service.

Scaddabush is a great place to go for a night out and wanting some good pasta! Yes, the portion sizes are a bit small but other than that the food is great! Love the fresh mozzarella and they have a great selection of pizzas! My favourite is the San Marzanno pasta and the Butcher pizza! 8/10 recommend

Beautiful restaurant with rustic brick look, lively environment suitable for small groups and celebrations. Service is attentive but because it is busy, it is a bit slow to get the server. On the positive side, once ordered, food came quickly. We tried the spaghetti and meatball, one giant delicious meatball! Kids meal is a very good size, almost 2/3 size of an entree pizza with a drink and dessert at around 12$. While there is a dessert menu, we find the tiramisu a little bit of a disappointment ($12), not bad but just doesn't stand out.

Love the vibe, the food and the service. It was a lovely Sunday night and we went there to celebrate our daughter's birthday. We didn't reserve seats, but we were able to be seated shortly around 5:30pm. There are many counter seats and high hairs. Stylish interior decoration. A little noisy as people all seem to enjoy themselves. We feel it is the right vibe to celebrate. Three of us ordered Bruschetta Fresca, Caprese Panzanella, preto Pollo Penne, pizza with spicy fungi, all are very tasty, full of flavors, especially the pizza, it is heaven. The dough is very fresh, the topping is to die for. Our waitress is a very nice lady, always giving a sunshine smile, making our time very memorable. On the day when we visited, they have promotion in gift card, $50 gift card with $10x 5 coupon, what a deal. We just pay $50, we got $50 gift card plus $10x5 coupon toward future visits. We will definitely go back more often.

My family and I came here for Mother's Day. It was a great place to come with family. For food, we ordered: balsamic truffle fresh mozzarella - this was really yummy. However for $20, I expected a bigger portion of the cheese. Don't know if I can justify the price. Calamari fritti - this was delicious. I always love fried calamari. And their dip was great. mushroom truffle mafalfe - it was okay. I expected some more flavour out of it. Tasted more like white Alfredo sauce rather than a strong mushroom taste. Salty too. Another pasta - unfortunately, I forgot the name of this but it was on their summer limited edition menu. So it is not on their regular menu. It was good though. Pizza - Unfortunately, forgot the name again as it was too on their limited edition menu. It was delicious though. I hope they return it to the menu. Overall, service was great! Our waitress was very kind. I love how the restaurant's lighting is darker. It creates a more intimate atmosphere.

I dined out here a few times and enjoyed their food and service every time. The renovation is nice with portrait paintings hanging inside. Recently I tried their mozzarella cheese with toast, goat cheese and beet salad as well as spicy mushroom pizza. All were supper yummy but expect some greasiness of the main dish here. I had to skip dinner after eating lunch here. Portions for all dishes were large. The salad was refreshing withd decent portion. The mushroom pizza was very cheesy. If you cannot handle spicy food, you can simply pick out the pepper. The remaining part was not spicy at all. The mozzarella cheese was the best one I've had in town. We fought for it. Service was attentive. Had some nice chat with our waitress. When she figured out our little one was expecting his birthday soon, she offered him a piece of cake with sparkling candles! We really enjoy our dining experience here and would love to revisit.

SCADDABUSH . . Scaddabush is always a go to spot for my fiancé and I when we are craving pasta. They had a limited time menu when we visited so we got to try a new dish as well. It was a long weekend so it was busy, but service was still attentive which we appreciate. The sausage and fennel pasta has always been our favourite, but it use to be made with fettuccine. Now it's with rigatoni which was just as good. The shrimp and steak with spicy tomato cream sauce was DELICIOUS. The sauce surprisingly paired super well with the steak and it just elevated the dish that much more. Highly recommend this dish and hopefully it becomes a permanent menu item! . . The space is lively and the service is attentive, which makes the experience enjoyable. As for the food, the variety is decent, and the meats are generally well-seasoned and flavorful. I especially liked the grilled pineapple -- it was juicy and nicely caramelized. However, if you're not a fan of cinnamon, this might not be your favorite, as the flavor is quite noticeable. Overall, it's a good experience and worth trying at least once, but in terms of variety and overall balance, I personally still lean towards Copacabana.

There are 2 locations north of Toronto, north essentially the same. It a large open space with tables far enough apart that you don't feel like you're sitting right next to strangers. There are a few appetizers like the cheese bread and some grilled vegetables. These are bland and have no real flavour. Their corn bread, however, is fantastic. The meat variety is good. Of course, they have picanha (a Brazilian cut of meat), Parmesan sirloin steak, sausage, chicken, grilled pineapple, shrimp, and others. They have beans and rice too. The staff walk around constantly and offer food. They're friendly and are happy to give you an extra piece of meat if that's the one you really like. These reason for 4 stars is that its nearly impossible to get meat that's prepared medium or well done. Not all my family likes rare/medium rare, and while it's possible to request well done, it takes 15-20 minutes to get 2 little pieces of meat by which time you're ready for more and have to wait another 15-20 minutes. This, while all the others are busily eating.

We then waited another 15-20 minutes before anyone came back to check on us. The staff who finally approached did apologize for the wait. We had a reservation for 6:15PM, but did have to wait a bit while our table was being set up. Not a huge deal though as they actually have a little waiting area with a popcorn machine, which I thought was super cute and thoughtful. That said... we were here for seafood, so we had to hold ourselves back from snacking too much on popcorn LOL. We went on a Thursday, so we took advantage of their $50 for 50 oysters (with purchase of an entrée). Easily the best part of the experience from a value standpoint. While a good portion of the oysters were fresh, there were definitely a few that were noticeably off. Not just "less fresh," but the kind of bites that make you pause and immediately wanting to spit it out. It kind of takes away from the experience when you're second-guessing each one. We started with the ahi tuna tartare and individual cups of clam chowder. The tartare was decent, but lacked that extra punch or acidity to really make it stand out. The chowder, on the other hand, was surprisingly well done; generous clam pieces with that distinct briny, ocean flavour you only get from real seafood. It tasted authentic, not overly thick, and actually let the ingredients shine. For mains, I ordered the lobster mac & cheese, while my coworkers got the lobster & shrimp tagliatelle. The mac & cheese was creamy and cheesy, but leaned heavily toward pasta over lobster. I only found a few small pieces, mostly from the claw. It felt more like a standard mac & cheese with lobster added in after the fact rather than something cooked together cohesively. Not quite what I had in mind. I also tried a few bites of the tagliatelle; there was flavour there, but it needed salt to bring everything forward. As it stood, the flavours felt muted and a bit hidden. That said, shoutout to our server, Edward, who really helped elevate the experience. Super attentive, gave solid recommendations, and suggested a bottle of Oyster Bay Chardonnay to pair with the oysters, which ended up being a hit. Overall, this is a spot that's worth visiting for the specials alone, but the execution across dishes is a bit uneven. Good, not great, and I'd be more inclined to return strategically rather than for the full menu experience.

We ordered two simple drinks (wine with soda) and were shocked to be charged $56, while the menu states $20 per glass. We wanted to ask the bartender, but he was not at the bar. We had to wait multiple times just to get his attention. When he finally came back, he gave us one bill instead of two. After asking again, we received separate bills, where we noticed a "coke" charge we never ordered - I assume this is how soda was charged, but no one explained this. I expected standard bar soda, not an extra charge. Gratuity was also automatically added without any clear notice. The menu only says "Prices do not include taxes and gratuities," which does not mean it will be added automatically. Also, i ordered the wine directly from the bartender, without menu. From a customer perspective, this is misleading. In Ontario, pricing and additional charges are expected to be clearly communicated in advance, and that did not happen here. When I asked the bartender for clarification, he couldn't explain anything and just walked away. We asked for a manager - a woman came out, did not introduce herself, did not speak English, and avoided communicating with us entirely. She spoke with the staff on different languages, so we cannot understand her. Instead of properly resolving the situation, she threw cash on the bar (the refunded gratuity) without any explanation, which felt very disrespectful and unprofessional. Then another guy came, did not introduce himself either, and when I tried to explain that this is not about the money but about the attitude, he said he "didn't have time" and walked away to hug a girl at the entrance. At that point, it honestly felt like we were intruding in someone's private space rather than being customers in a public establishment. We came to relax and enjoy a glass of wine after a long day, but instead ended up with a completely ruined evening. Would not recommend.

My friend got two tables for dinner on Saturday night, with what was supposed to be a set menu with open bar. After arriving at the place and having to literally dump our jackets on some coat racks and chairs, because there was no coat check, we were rushed to our table and not able to take photos because apparently the dinner would be served shortly. This was absolutely not the case, after we sat down and finished our apps the dinner took over an hour to arrive. All the guests were starving. When the food came it was family sharing style and not nearly enough for our table. It was embarrassing for how much they charged for this dinner. Then they took forever to bring our friends cake out and we didn't even get plates until much later. Our friend was so upset, we decided to leave and didn't have the cake there. Now to get to the open bar lie. We prepaid for open bar but when people ordered drinks they would either take forever to arrive or never come at all. The waitress would take the order, write something down and not come back. My husband only had two drinks and had to wait over an hour for them. I didn't even drink! Other guests had the same situation. We were capped from our open bar by the owner for apparently drinking too much. I have never heard of this kind of arrangement before and we were not told of any kind of count /maximum. The owner was extremely rude to our party and regarding the open bar. The staffing was clearly understaffed and there was no acknowledgement of how slow and inadequate the service was. All in all this made for a totally disappointing experience and I will not be recommending this place to anyone. Please beware of this overpriced venue and a terrible attitude from staff and owner.
