Based on the reviews I decided to try it out. Seems very often authentic based on the staff and the way the restaurant was decorated and what was on TV. Service was amazing. The person was very friendly and always there right when I needed him I got the chicken enchiladas with green sauce which were very good. Perfect amount of chicken inside and not too much sauce or sour cream While you are waiting, they give you tortillas for free. What's different than most Mexican restaurants is they also give you refried beans to dip it in, in addition to two types of salsa. The restaurant was very clean I do not know that area well so I was a little taken it back when I showed up and it was part a strip mall that was beaten up. For years now I have been scouring Seattle, especially the north end, for breakfast burritos. I found a great one at Casa Del Mariachi. Chose carne asada for the meat and added mole sauce on top. Over the years I kept hearing white fellas say that Mexican food is full of flavor. However, my previous experiences sort of failed me. Yes, the tacos did have some flavor, but they never really hit my Chinese palate somehow. Until recently, I learned that there is a dish called menudo, it's a tripe soup. And I'm a tripe lover, I knew I had to try it. So today (Jan 25, 2026), after hiking on a freezing trail, I decided to get some menudo soup. This is the place I found on google maps. It has a 4.8 out of 5 rating and is also close to where I was then. It seems to be a small, family owned business. We were the only customers at the time, and the owner was very friendly. Before getting to the food, can we take a minute to appreciate the menu? If a small place can put in the effort to make a menu with photos, I don't see why it should be a problem for bigger businesses to do better and include dish photos too. I don't like doing essay reading when I'm hungry. I'm an organ meat lover. I've been eating intestines, liver, and even pork brain since I was a kid, and tripe is easily in my top two options. When the soup was served, I could smell a slight tripey flavor. To be honest, it might smell a bit weird to people who have never had tripe or any other organ parts, or to those who as adults and still think salt and butter are the best seasonings. But for me, it felt authentic, I knew it was real food. I really admire cultures that can turn organ meats into delicious dishes, you know it takes real skill and talents. I loaded my soup with onions and peppers, fresh lime juice, and some oregano. I learn that online. This was also my first time trying oregano. It reminded me of those lavender filling pillows that were very popular when I was a teenager. Now I can confidently call the soup flavorful, it was spicy, sour, and zesty. The tripe was also well cooked, they were tender, and with no weird flavor at all. This was my very first time trying a Mexican dish that wasn't a taco, and I loved it!! I'm so glad I came here today. I think menudo will be my favorite Mexican dish from now on, and I'll definitely be back for more. read more

Hubby wanted Mexican food, so we checked out this low-key spot in the Pinehurst neighborhood. Hubby got the mole and I got the fish tacos. Both dishes came with rice and beans and were delicious! The mole was flavorful and the chicken tender. It wasn't super busy for a Friday evening and service was fantastic. We definitely plan to return to this hidden gem. read more

In short A charming low-key neighborhood hangout that I would probably visit multiple times per week if I lived close. Solid food, good prices, very warm and friendly service. In long We were farther into the city than we often get, and were happy to find a spot that felt out of the way and quiet for a late lunch. Most neighborhoods from here south are densely built up, but this block has a few old apartment buildings and homes, then this little strip mall with a bit of parking. We kinda felt like we found an escape hatch from some hustle and some bustle. It's an older building, and since this is a summer visit, they had a portable A/C unit keeping the dining room comfortable. There are tables and chairs lined up on both sides of the room. They're right out to greet you with friendly smiles and menus. They have tons of old favorites listed, including mole and chilaquiles and a couple other things that make it more like a full family-style restaurant; it's definitely more than a taco shop. They even have a few beers and a margarita on the menu. The chips and salsa really stood out--genuine heat in the red bottle, great big flavors in the green. Nice refried beans in the bowl. The mole had great flavors, with black beans and yellow rice accompanying with plenty of character. The mole chicken comes with two drumsticks--nice tender moist dark meat adds good flavor. Not the biggest portion but hit the spot. The other two at the table each got chilaquiles. They had an interesting tomatillo sauce over them with bright acidity and nice interplay with the sour cream. The chips themselves could have been served warmer, and the steak wasn't the best cut ever, but they both cleaned their plates entirely. For 3 drinks and 3 plates, we left full for right at $100. This place is such a sweet little find on the north side of town. read more

I had the trio enchiladas (dairy free) it was very delicious. The mole had lots of flavor, the green one was my second favorite really citrusy the red one was my least favorite needs more flavor. Also had a margarita, margarita hits really really good . Definitely come back some day. read more

The chicken taco was a disappointment, but the beef and pork tacos were good. I would give the food three stars, but the restaurant is much less expensive than other Mexican restaurants in North Seattle, so I bumped the review up to four stars. Fresh home cooking ! The food is super delicious and fresh. We had three dishes in total, enchiladas, chile relleno and costillas en salsa verde. Costillas, the sauce was fresh and light. Not to be confused with Chile Verde. The mole enchilada had a punch of flavor but the sauce felt light at the same time. Best mole in Seattle for sure. I have been eyeing on this place since when I saw that it has a 5 star rating both on yelp and google plus vegetarian options, win win. The restaurant is in a small complex with parking available. We came here on a weekend and the place was empty. It feels as if I were in a Mexican restaurant in Mexico. Not sure but it seems like all the members of the Owners family work their. Their was a kid around 7yrs who was cleaning the floor, his mother took our order, very warm and polite lady. They gave us a plate of complimentary beans and nachos plus 2 types of sauce red and green in a squeegee bottle. We ordered their:- Vegetable Torta: It was good, tasted nice after using the red sauce. Pambazo:- Its a torta but just more flavorful. Michelada:- It was nice and served in a big glass like the ones we had in Mexico. Overall, its a good place from food to service. As some have mentioned the food being bland, its true. I would suggest using those sauces that they give you on the side to spice the food up. Will be coming here again to try other items from the menu. read more

I ordered the carne asada meal, which consisted of one thin piece of dry, tasteless meat (along with rice, beans, and salad). My dog liked the meat. My husband ordered the carnitas (pulled pork), which was also dry and tasteless, although more plentiful. We were there at 6:00 on Saturday, so there is no excuse for the poor meat. Authentic Mexican food with fresh ingredients and great flavor. Though the location is in an unassuming strip mall the restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. We weren't waiting long for our food and we devoured all of it-from the free chips and bean dip to our entrees. Somehow we managed to make room for dessert too. The homemade sauces are also a fabulous addition to the food. We did hit a little slow patch of service at the end but considering one server for a place that stays busy it's understandable.
