I HATE the whole car buying experience. I just want a fair price for the car I want and I don't want it to take 8 hours. So, I called Superior Nissan and told the salesman, Ricardo that I was willing to pay $26,364 for a 2008 Altima hybrid with no extras out the door. This was a price that I determined would be a good deal for me and still give them profit. I did hours of research on the internet including "holdback", invoice, incentives and taxes and fees. Ricardo never tried to up-sell me or increase the price. He did try to add another $190 because I chose the white version over the black, but he let it go when I said no. The general manager, Nick was also really nice and helpful. I wanted the car in my mom's name as well as mine and they agreed to over-night the paperwork to her and hold the car for me. Even Marvin in financing didn't push those extended warranty plans once said that I wasn't interested. In the end, I paid a total of $26,238(even less than what I asked for). Everyone was helpful and respectful and I am totally happy with my purchase. Believe me this is a first! My last two cars were Honda's that I bought at Norm Reeve's and those people are lying jackals. If you go in, I strongly suggest talking to Ricardo, Nick and Marvin. read more

I bought a Nissan Leaf and every time I come in to charge, there's a black leaf parked in front of the level 2 charger. I asked one of the service reps about it and he told me it's the fleet managers car and it sits there all day. That really defeats the purpose of having charging stations for customers to use. This leaves only the level 3 charger available. Last time I was there, there were already 2 cars waiting to use the level 3 while this employee car was occupying the level 2 charger with a full charge. If you need to charge your car, have the common courtesy to move it when it's charged so others can use it, esp if you're a Nissan employee. Im hoping Nissan corporate will resolve this problem when I file a complaint w them. read more

I have never been more disappointed in my life with customer service, being a business owner listening, understanding and most importantly being honest are the most important thing to me. I first had my car towed to Carson Nissan after experiencing my car RPM rising from 1 to 3 over and over again while being on park and feeling a gripping sound from underneath the engine. Robert Romero was my advisor, I expressed my concerns to him even showed him a video and he said it would be 250$ to do a diagnostic on my vehicle even after I explained to him that my car had a recall less than a year ago and the engine was replaced, he said he would drop the price to $125. He called me the following day and said the throttle was dirty and needed to be cleaned and that I should be ok. I picked up my car the following day with my fiance who asked him if he recommended anything because we were really concerned if my vehicle would do anything out of the ordinary that could potentially be dangerous, he reassured everything would be ok and quickly send us away. Of course that was a lie while driving on the fwy one day on the fast lane every single light lit on including the engine light and my vehicle shifted from 65mph to 15mph the steering wheel locked on me giving me just enough momentum to move in between the bus lane and fast lane before getting hit from behind. What I experienced was nerve wrecking I had never been so scared and shaky in my life. I called triple AAA and had my car once again towed to carson Nissan Robert again was the one to take the car in. I explained everything to him or at least tried because he was rushing me off the phone, didn't even care that I was basically crying of how scared I was. He again said it would be 250$ then said it would be 125$ to run a diagnostic. Then he calls me back after receiving my car and having heard the situation and tells me "well your car is here and the check engine light is not on, so it doesn't look like theres a problem" I said "are you kidding me is that what the diagnostic is telling you" then he proceeded to telling me that the diagnostic had not yet been performed. I went back the following day he returned the car and said it was fine that they couldn't find anything wrong and that I just needed a passenger mount replacement. As I drove the car out a burning smell was coming out of the engine I made a u turn and went back in asked him if that was normal he said it was probably the throttle but that I shouldn't worry. My car felt worse after each time until finally after a couple of days my air conditioning just stopped working I called Carson again spoke to Robert explained to him I had just driven my car off their lot 2 days prior and his response was "I don't know what to tell you you will need to come back in for a diagnostic its 200$. Ive never in my life felt so cheated, not only did I have to get a car rental each time for having my car for almost 2 days each time, I lost time at work paid for two diagnostics and now he wanted me to pay for a third in less than one month. I am beyond disappointed on how unprofessional and rude Robert was I even made a complaint and asked to be helped by someone else and still I was bounced back to Robert. The costumer service was horrible to say the least, the guy had absolutely no knowledge and no answers or solutions. As a woman who has very little knowledge about cars I warn others of people like Robert Romero who are out to just make their commission and show no importance to a clients need. I'm happy to know I will never again return to Carson Nissan. The worse part of all of this is asking to speak to a supervisor and never being to actually speak with one. Just horrible. read more

Don't come here. This place is a scam. They will try to make you pay for warranty work even if your warranty is still good. I bought extended warranty on my nissan 350z. I brought it in for work and they wanted to make me pay money up front first just to look at the vehicle. Then they said if they find problems with the car that are covered then they will fix it. If they find problems that the warranty didn't cover, then they were going to keep the money I had to pay them upfront. This doesn't make sense. No other dealerships do this. Don't trust the service department! I called to ask the pricing for a diagnostic on my Nissan Murano and was badgered by a gentleman named Carlos who insisted that I tell him what I thought was wrong with my car. I told him I am NOT a mechanic and that's what the diagnostic is for. He quoted me a price of $265. My sister called today and apparently she reached the same gentleman who demanded that she describe what was wrong with the vehicle. She explained to him that this was the reason for her requesting a diagnostic and with an arrogant attitude he told her that she wasn't giving him enough information to go on. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't a diagnostic supposed to tell you what is exactly wrong with a vehicle? Wasn't that the reason for our calls? Long story short, my sister basically said the car is running a little sluggish and to that he again asked her to elaborate! (Dude!!! Really?!!) She tells him that she is not a mechanic and these questions should be answered with the diagnostic reading. With a nonchalant attitude the gentleman gave her the ridiculous quote of $400 to $500 for a diagnostic on the very same vehicle. Needless to say I called two other Nissan dealerships and was given a price of $135 for a diagnostic reading. I was very pleased with the customer service I was provided. I actually only came to this dealer, I was trying to decide if it was the time to purchase a new car. My parents and I visited the dealer on a Monday. We were greeted my Justin Murrillo he was ver knowledgable and knew exactly what I was looking for. i had to get my dtr's car towed here since one day the car just didn't want to start. i drove down there before 8PM so they can start on the paperwork. It was 755 and Carlos kind of hesitated at first to help out (i can understand exactly how he felt since he was 5 minutes away from closing). He went back in and went to his computer i think to finish up with another paperwork and didn't ask me to come in or anything so i just stood by the door and waited for the tow truck to come in. By the time the tow truck came in it was around 805PM, Carlos and 2 of his other tech guys were talking to another customer who came in past 8. Since I called before hand and didn't want to 'impose' on Carlos past his time, I looked for the drop off box with envelope and found that it was EMPTY so I went back to Carlos and asked him what he wanted us to do. Are we going to get an envelope from him to drop off the key and a phone number to call first thing in the morning or is he planning on helping us? He mentioned he won't be in the office the next day and gave me Christine's name. He went back to his computer and started to process our paper work. I give him Kudos for still helping out, and like I said, i'm sure he was as anxious as anyone would be when it's time to leave work and then someone comes along at the very last minute. Anyways, my car is still not done, Christine and I have been emailing each other about my car problem and was told they've never seen anything like this. I had to come down before 3PM to talk to one of the techs to explain to me what was wrong with the car. Bottom line, it'll cost a LOT of money and won't be done until Wednesday next week. Talk about problems piling on up, my car's check engine light just came on last night and started going bonkers on me. So i had to take my car to Toyota, now i'm totally without any form of mode of transportation and there are tons to do on a weekend! I called Nissan back to ask if they offer any courtesy FREE CAR Rental like Toyota does and was bluntly told NO, WE DON'T! Wow, how rude! Christine was not in till Tuesday so this one guy at the Service dept. just said they don't do loaners even after I told him my car's in their shop till Wednesday and am paying them a LOT of money! I couldn't believe that at all! Then why does one of the reviews here state she got herself a FREE rental??? I've been taking my 2011 Nissan Altima for it's normal maintenance since it's first oil change to Carson Nissan which happens to be the same dealer I bought it from. These past 2 oil changes however were by far the worst the service department has honestly dropped the ball when it comes to customer service. I mentioned 2 because the first time I was willing to let it go and continue to give them my business but after this most recent experience I am now an ex customer. Scheduling a appointment means nothing as I waiting over 10 minutes inside my car for an advisor and keep in mind there were only two customers including myself waiting. After giving up i walked inside and asked for help. The advisor was very nice but the overall experience has gotten bad. The first time I waited even longer and in a very competitive market I don't know why they stopped the car wash and in issuing a copy of the techs inspection. On a final note forget calling the service manager I tried the one I was given ext34104 and no one ever answered. read more

Carlos Gaspar is the manager at the service department. Anytime I've ever had and issue he's taken care of my problem. The dealership takes pride and going out of their way to help customers out with their issues and needs. I did have a little bit of an issue this week with my vehicle when I dropped it off for service, I didn't get a call back; but Carlos took charge and he went ahead and helped me get everything sorted out and the issue resolved. So just moving to LA from NYC, I had to make sure I got a new car that was reliable, affordable, and to my liking to get me around LA. After dealing with another Nissan dealership (I wont mention their name) and not being satisfied with their service and their game playing. I decided to do some extensive research and stumbled up Carson Nissan. I couldn't have been more satisfied. From the moment I spoke with Jackie via email to our intial conversation over the phone, I knew that this was who I should deal with. Super friendly, courteous and straight to the point with no games played in regards to price etc. I couldnt have been more satisfied. After arriving in LA on the day I moved here. I literally headed straight from the airport to the dealership where I met Jackie and then from there was introduced to Ruben, 1 of their product specialists. Needless to say. Ruben was and is the man. Not only was he super accomodating but he clearly knew his stuff in regards to features and specs and told me to contact him in regards to any questions, concerns etc. Most importantly he had a high level of patience as I was on the fence of what color vehicle to purchase. (It was between black & gun metal. I settled on black!!) To further add, he also allowed me to take my time and contact my insurance company so I could switch everything over to my new Altima. From there he introduced me to Jamie in the Finance dept who was also super polite and great to work with and shared some laughs with while getting me in order. Same as Wendy R. - I have been very saddened by the closure of Schaier's Nissan on Spring St. Not only were they awesome in service (I only went there for service), but they were walking distance from my house!! Yeah, they went bankrupt but what AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW? Poor me. I researched a couple of mechanics that were rated pretty high and located nearby, but, still would prefer a dealer. Maybe cuz I'm a girl, maybe cuz I like knowing exactly where my parts are coming from, and yes, maybe I really like waiting in a nice comfy lounge with a/c. Especially if I can't walk home (or from home, as Schaier's had a shuttle that would take you *sniff*). So I took my baby over to Carson, where Sean immediately walked out to my car (awesome), told me he'd take just as good or better care than at Schaier's (that's a high bar fella, but I'm still impressed), and after briefly mentioning I should maybe put synthetic oil (uh-oh, is that an UP-SELL I smell?!?! Do we need to run away?!?), I had all my records with me showing that no, my baby ran well on the good ol' fashioned stuff, so no need to change. He said they'd do an oil change and possibly a tire rotation. It would take an hour. Well guess what? They did an oil change, and found no tire rotation was necessary. $30. One hour. Car washed and cleaned. Bar met. Maybe not quite raised, but close enough. If you throw in the snack counter (seriously, a counter? Never seen one), then perhaps it's raised a smidge. I sat in the comfy air-conditioned lounge (ok, my one criticism of Schaier's - it was always FREEZING in that waiting room; I learned to bring a wrap), and got way ahead in my overdue library book, which I wouldn't have had I gotten a ride home. I'll be back. A whole 4 miles away. Well worth the drive. ETA: 12//11 I went in on Christmas Eve at 3:20PM not realizing they were closing early (duh) at 4PM. I also thought I had a coupon with me offering a free oil change with service. Nope (duh). Nevertheless, they didn't rush me, gave me a free oil change anyway (and I didn't need anything else done), and only because it was right at closing time when they brought my car around, they said they owed me a car wash for next time. I just purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue SV with the SL package. Man this is a sweet ride. It has the most torque/ hp in its class. Anyway I dealt with the Internet Manager Michelle she was pretty tough but were able to make a pretty nice deal and I got what I wanted.
