We recently traded in our vehicle for a brand new Passport. Our Car Salesman Jose Diaz "J" made the purchase process pain free. He was genuine, professional and honest. No haggling, pressure or back and forth nonsense. I highly recommend that you ask for "J" the next time you're looking to buy your new Honda. His Manager Octavio was wonderful too. We are loving our Passport! read more

This is for the service Dept. The worst dealer service I've ever had. The last two times I went they just did not do what they were were paid to do and said they would do. I had to finish what they did not do. I wrote to the General Manager a professioal letter of complaint and never got a response. This is a company that does not want your business. They will never have mine again read more

I went today to check out a new Honda CRV4 EXL that the Internet manager, MIchael Kiernan, quoted my wife yesterday for 24,041 plus tax and license. So today I called him before I went and he said, oh we had a meeting last night and blah blah blah...we can sell you the car for $600 more. So I complained and researched the new price and my wife and I talked it over and decided it still was a good price ($100 dollars over the national average according to edmunds.com) I told him we might buy it if they honor the 5.09 interest rate quoted us. He said, "Who told you that???" Well, it was quoted to us from Scott Robinson Honda in Torrance (another relatively close dealer who said all Hondas use the same financial people) I told him that the salesperson told us that (we had gone to Carson Honda on Sunday two days prior to check out the cars). He was just setting us up for a reason to raise the rate later. I drove to the dealer while my wife was working to get the ball rolling. Mike (or MIchael) takes me to his desk and berates me saying that I said he had no integrity on the phone. (I told him on the phone that he should honor the original price quoted to us) He was probably trying to make me feel like a bad guy so I would be an easier target. He had told me on the phone that he had 19 cars for me to chose from. So we left his desk and I followed him around the WHOLE LOT looking for the cars he said he had. "Oh, this one has navigation, blah blah blah... Oh the way back to the showroom, He points to his offer I printed from the internet and says how he make a mistake, "Thats not the right price" HE'S THE FREEKIN INTERNET SALES MANAGER!!! They don't make mistakes like that. This was a pure "get'm in and screw him tactic." He told me that I'm a teacher so I take things "literally"(like the price quote he sent). Amazing. IT turns out HE DIDNT HAVE ANY CRV4 EXL without navigation so he tried to get me to buy one with navigation!!! For another $2100. INCREDIBLE!!!!!! I even said at his desk, "Oh, the old "bait and switch"! He led me into the showroom and and showed me one there which wasn't the car color or leather color my wife wanted so I didn't want to do that one. So on the way home I left a message asking him if the showroom car would be sold to me for 24,640 (his original quote plus 600). He hasn't called back. I had proof of our superior credit scores in a manila file and was prepared to expect a battle about the interest rate but we didn't get that far. Let me start by saying that I dread walking into car dealerships--the anxiety of being pounced on by sales people, pressured to buy on the spot, etc. I've had some not-so-great experiences in the past, so I'm hyper vigilant. I first walked into Carson Honda with this attitude and walked (drove) out with a new car AND a new attitude! This place is great! The entire staff there is super friendly. I mean, everyone. I first made contact via email with Jenna, the Internet Sales Director, about trading in my car for a used Honda. Her demeanor was so friendly and professional that I felt compelled to come into the dealership. So I scheduled an appointment for a test drive and to have my current car appraised. When I arrived for my appointment, I was surprised to hear that the car I wanted to test drive was unavailable (being serviced). I felt a little duped, but went ahead with the rest of the visit. The staff who helped me were great, but because the car I wanted to see wasn't there, I left with a bad taste in my mouth. The next day, I reached out to Jenna to share my concerns. Rather than go into great detail, I'll just say that Jenna's response was incredibly professional and helpful. She obviously took great time to address my complaint with genuine sincerity and honesty, which was a breath of fresh air. I agreed to give it another try and I'm so glad I did. Jenna paired me up with sales rep, Shawn, who took me on a few test drives over the course of a week or so, and each time, he was super nice, polite, and not pushy AT ALL. Jenna would regularly check in to make sure all was going well. Together, they made an excellent team. I felt so well taken care of during the entire process. It really couldn't have gone any better. Now I have an awesome new (used) car and absolutely NO buyer's remorse, which I believe has to do with the fact that I was never rushed, never felt lied to, and was given all the attention and information I needed to make the right decision. Thank you so much, Jenna and Shawn! You guys totally rock! read more

I received mail from Honda Motors Corporation saying there is an extended warranty on my car's rear control arms that are known to cause a vibration noise at highway speeds (exactly what my car has). I brought my car in to Honda Carson and the guy tells me that they only replace the control arm if it's cracked. I called Scott Robinson Honda dealership, and they told me they would replace it even if it's not cracked. Liars work here. Don't waste your time or energy. Plus, they're way overpriced for everything, including oil changes. read more

This rating is for service only as I have not purchased a car from Carson Honda. They serviced my Odyssey recently and did the work for a great price. I originally took it to Scott Robinson Honda for a basic service but then they told me I needed thousands of dollars worth of additional repairs. I called Carson Honda for a quote and they replaced the timing belt for $400 less! They also told me the bushings and motor mounts that Scott Robinson recommended replacing still had plenty of life left in them and did not need replacing any time soon. What a relief. I felt like I was treated honestly. I will definitely take my car there again for service. read more

This review is for services rendered at Carson Honda on February 28th through March 8th 2017. Re: Check engine light and airbag inflator recall; customer support services provided by Erwin Mauricio and John Lee. Erwin Mauricio, Service Advisor promptly opened ticket regarding my issue and initiated the paperwork for a loaner car. Since a loaner was not available at the time of drop off, a rental car was provided as a form of goodwill for a day. Thereafter, a loaner car was provided by Honda Carson free of charge while my car was being serviced. John Lee, line technician communicated well regarding the cause of my engine light issue and advised cause. He explained the details of the cause clearly and concisely, reviewed warranty extension and listed all the parts that needed replacement. He promptly ordered parts needed (with my consent) and kept me up to date with the process. John is detailed oriented; his communication style and the quality of his work are much appreciated. My car runs LIKE NEW again! Thank you! The services rendered at Carson Honda by the teamwork effort of Erwin and John exceeds my every expectation. read more

These people beat around the bush too much! Bunch of bullshitters. Sorry for my language. First time here and I won't be coming back. The guy who attended kept reassuring me that I'm getting the full synthetic oil change and in reality it's the synthetic blend. I always get the full synthetic at the downtown Los Angeles Honda dealership and my car lasts up to 5000 miles while the blend only lasts 3000. He tried to reassure me that it's all about the way I drive the car. I told him I don't believe him. I wasn't convinced at all. I won't be coming here again. Service sucks. read more

My experience with the manager Ramon was a to me rude. I don't expect the red carpet but I did expect a better outcome. I found a used Toyota over the internet thru Gargus website in which the "pre-qualify" you and supposedly you take that to purchase your car. Sandra called me which was sweet and helpful but her manager Ramon was nothing less than short, kind of like we can't help you typa attitude and bye! I willnt go there and will not recommend them, to family or my grown successful kids. I hope in the future when you can't help make a deal Ramon can be a little more considerate maybe for lack of a better word. read more

I would have given their service department a NEGATIVE FIVE STAR! Want to waste and ruin tour day and get a coronary? Then Honda Carson Service is the place. From paperwork with in accurate information, misplacing your car keys which will take another 30 minutes to locate it, to extremely overpriced labor cost per hour $135/hour and 4 hours to replace brake pads ($440 for pads) and $760 to replace a car starter? How about $138 to replace parts for a recall? Go somewhere else and save yourselves money and precious time. No one diserves to get stressed for paying good hard earned money read more

I came here back in September 2013 looking for a 2013 Honda Accord since they had a great deal on them. When we walked into the showroom we were not approached by any salesmen and we probably waited 20 min until we were approached by a salesmen. Long story short, we were just looking to get a quote but they decide to do the financing that same day and run my credit and everythingnwithout telling me that they were going to do that. I think the salesman (a Filipino man) I was dealing with was very desperate since when we told them that we were not ready to deal he doesn't even say bye or anything... he just wanted to get his commission... Then he has the nerves to joke and say that since we are both Asians I had to deal with him? And he would call back several times trying to sell the car to me after the way he treated me and my family? No thanks. read more

I wouldn't send my enemies to this dealership!!! They are down and out shady. I went to this dealership with the expectations that it was a big, reputable one... I should have just bought privately, saved myself some money and a lot of headaches! I walked in wanting to buy a car that they had in their used car section. Firstly, the sales person that helped me knew very little about the car itself. He was quite rude because he acted like he knew what he was talking about, and then challenged me when I corrected him. I should have left then, but it was the car that I wanted, so I deal with his ignorance. When it came to crunching the numbers, they immediately approved me for a rate of 22.9% interest as if I should be happy I was approved for the car! Wow... that was unbelievable. When I was about to leave, they magically were able to bring it down to 5.99% -- literally within 1 minute. That is very interesting to me because had I not known better, and was naive, I would have been stuck with a ridiculous interest rate, when they knew good and well that I would be approved for a way better rate. I wonder how many people they swindled into accepting the 22% rate.... When the manager and my salesman sat me back down, we worked out a deal. I was told that the car had gone thru their rigorous "recon" process -- meaning that anything that needed to be replaced on the vehicle from when they took position, to when they sold it, to make it safe, had been completed. 2 weeks later my mechanic informed me that they sold me a car that needed a new alternator (which was acceptable in my opinion, because thats part of buying a new car), and also that the rear tires only had 30% treat (one of the selling features was that they had replaced the tires on the vehicle). Needless to say, the tires point made the vehicle unsafe -- so they sold me a car that was knowingly unsafe. IF they didn't know, then they didn't complete the inspection they mentioned. Either way, they are in the wrong Finally the ignition system needed to be replaced in the vehicle -- which costs a whopping $1500 and needs to be done at the dealership. I was told that their used car manager would reach out to the general manager because he has a relationship with the place it needed to be fixed (ANOTHER SONIC DEALERSHIP), and maybe he could negotiate a good faith gesture with them to give me a break on labor because I hadn't even put 1500 miles on it. I sat at the dealership where the repair was taking place, waiting for the call I was told would be done immediately, for an entire day. Finally i decided to leave, and id pay for the fix myself. I called, and then emailed Kris - Carson Honda's general manager - and he didn't even have the common courtesy to call me back, or acknowledge any of this. Instead he called the dealership where it was being repaired directly and told them to put new rear tires on the car -- why would he do this? because he should have never sold it like that in the first place, and wanted to cover up this little fact because what he (the dealership) did was essentially illegal. To add insult to injury -- I paid around $300 in dealership registration paperwork for them to deal with the DMV registration. They messed up the paperwork and I needed to go to the DMV to do this myself -- which, only costs $15 dollars! What did I pay $300 for? I understand I bought a used car -- but I honestly feel like they knew of these issues and tried to sell it fast, only to leave me on my own with my massive repair bills. DONT FALL PREY TO THEIR SMILES -- they know what they are doing, and they are taking advantage of their customers. Im surprised this dealership and it's salespeople still have their sales licenses after all the negative reviews I've read on yelp. Kris -- if you see this, maybe you could return my calls, or emails like you should have in the first place. read more

I recently bought my first car here(and by recently I mean I've had this car for 5 weeks) and I couldn't imagine a worse dealership! Today is the 4th time i have had to go back to this dealership because they keep screwing up. They messed up my paperwork initially so I had to go back and re do it two days after buying it! I already have an oil leak that had to have already been there when I bought it, luckily I got the warranty which is only $100 down for any repair but they told me it was going to be over $400! I purchased my first car at Carson Honda last night. I had done research on consumer reports, edmunds, and cars.com for months. Once I got a sense for what the price should be I started reaching out to dealers all over the area and in Chicagoland where my parents live. I was considering paying for the car in a lower cost state to save some money - but I explained my process to the reps at Carson Honda and they were incredibly flexible, communicative and helpful to work with my budget. They were able to match the price I asked for - and I drove off the lot with the exact cost we discussed. No surprises, no hidden fees, and NO PUSHY SALES people. We were helped by Justin, who personally did not need to do much for us to walk away with a new lease but he excelled in customer service. We were looking to return a current lease and upgrade to a bigger model. He let us check out the car, test drive it and answered any question we had. He was courteous, very attentive to what we had to say or ask about the vehicle and we didn't feel like he was pressuring us into anything we were not comfortable with as we had already experienced with our previous dealership. When we got to run numbers Justin and Luis helped us get the deal that we felt comfortable with. Something that through another dealership was apparently not attainable even with the same financing company. They made the whole process easy and enjoyable. I have already started recommending them to friends and family. Wet happy with our experience overall. Keep up the great work!! read more

I've been here twice. Both times I've felt welcomed and that the staff took care of the services that I needed on my Honda. The first time I came, I needed a replacement windshield wiper. They had to special order it because they didn't have it in stock. They had it within two days & called me to pick it up! I was able to use a coupon from their website. The second time I came here, I had to get my oil changed. I came here after school on a Friday i believe & they were able to help me right away. I also showed them the coupon I found online, so my oil change, not including tax, was $20! I was going to wash my car at home after my oil change, but I overheard the cashier saying that they give complimentary car washes after each service. I was so happy & surprised. Best Honda dealership I've been to. I don't necessarily have a great liking for salespeople because I feel like I'm a prey and they're predators. But, thankfully, I had an amazing and very helpful salesperson help my boyfriend with the purchase of his new Honda Accord 2013 Sport. His name is LORENZO VARGAS. Remember that name. If you ask for him, you will not be disappointed. He spent the entire day with us answering our questions. Definitely very helpful, knowledgable, honest, and sincere. My boyfriend and I did not feel pressured at any time. After purchasing the car, the gentleman that helped with signing the contract was also extremely nice and informative. When it is time for me to buy a new car, I will definitely come back here and ask for Lorenzo to help with our purchase. BEST customer service! This is the BEST place to get your Car! Look for Luke and Dean and you'll be in good hands!!

Bought a used Toyota from this dealership. 2 days later returned it for check engine light. Received it back 5 days later to find out the next day the check engine light is on again with same issue. Was not fixed. These people do not work with you. They do not care about anything that you go through because they made the sale. I do NOT recommend anyone buying a used car from this place. They purposely turned the check engine light off before shipping it to Toyota to fix, therefore the check engine light was not fixed. I did not like the experience here. Customer service was horrible. People did not seems happy at all. Worst part ok i got there test drove the car i wanted nd omg it was a beauty. So the story is this: The sales guy Keith or something like that he was cool. But once it got to paper work it got horrible. They did not want to help me and negotiate at all. So they told me i would need 3000 or a co signer. So honestly i left pissed because other places would accept me but them. So i called later nd i said F* it i got the 3000 iin hand i want to go get it. (2006 650 ci) So i spoke to an individual online and they said o yea you cant get the car you nneed a co signer. But i was like wait you said 3000 was fine cant u do that she said nope sorry I was like so why you say it was ok and she gave a LEcture. Saying IM making a bad mood that i should just go somewhere else because i am making a bad decision. Its like seriously. Dont you even want to make an effort to sell me the care. WTF. Well by my experience yesterday, 03/03/2015, i would say for get this place. Supposably there is no chance i cant get a car. Like really i know about these cars. Its like dude the car retails in KBB for 11k nd i understand the dealership has to make money too so 14k was ok with 114k miles. it was descent i liked the car so hopefully it goes better. Im going to call again today to see if there may be something different or if they can send to a different bank but ill keep posting. read more

my story: LIES ALL LIES My daughter Went to Carson Honda to purchase her first car at 18 yrs. old, just got her drivers license no credit history, and working for a year at her current job Popeyes. she did a trade in and 1000 cash for deposit. she showed proof of income and needed information. Mind you the sales MANAGER "Tim" said she qualified for a brand new 2018 Honda Civic and did not need a co-signer. she was excited and proud that she did it on her own. 2 weeks after she had her car, she gets a call from dealer that she did not qualify for the car. she told them how if she showed proof of income and has contract and everything. I personally spoke to the finance dept. and clearly they do not understand how this happened. i do they are scamming people at this dealership. Clearly the sales people and the MANAGER have to go back to training. To make a long story short she had to get a cosigner and they still did not approve them. Wow! she then gets her trade in car back, but now they do not want to give her deposit back. they said Corporate does refunds and she has to wait until they decide to issue it. OOh yea plus they are keeping 100 for insurance they claim they gave her to drive off with the car. no number to their insurance company because according to them they have no communication to their soo called insurance. YEt it's an in-house insurance company. No number to communicate to corporate either. It's a SCAM. LIES ALL LIES!! My daughter and I have been calling the dealership for 4 days and no response from corporate. great !! they request deposit, take trade in's, take back their car , but when it comes to refunds ,the customer has to wait until they feel like giving their money back. SO DISAPPOINTED, what a great first time car buyer experience. I would never buy from HONDA ever ! When we asked where did they come up with that figure he said he didn't know and that his manager just gave him the amount. He was the worst sales man ever!! He kept walking back and forth and assisted other customers while keeping us sitting and wasting our time. All of the sales guys just sit in the back office doing nothing but wasting the customers time. I will never give a dime to this dealership.
