Then they claimed that they attempted delivery on Sunday March 23. I was at a scheduled MRI and had been told BY THE DMV that the earliest attempted delivery would be Monday, March 24 so I thought I could attend my MRI without missing a delivery. However, if I had been told that they would be here Sunday, I could have rescheduled the MRI despite being in intense pain. Yesterday, Monday, again -no delivery. Today I went to the website but it was a horrible experience. Their system asked for the tracking number but I was cut off after in putting only half the numbers on my phone keypad. I tried several times and I KNOW I had the correct number. Later, I went to my porch and found mail, including a notice that the Lanham carrier could not deliver and "were sorry they missed me." They did NOT miss me. I have been near the front door all day. The carrier made NO attempt to see if anyone was home - did not knock or ring the bell - just left the stupid note. I requested an investigation via the main post office about HOW to get my package but that was before the carrier put delivery notice put in my mail box. What is wrong with the Lanham Post Office that the carrier will not due her damn job and knock or ring the bell so an old lady can get her important MVA document???? How much effort does it take to ring a bell or knock on the damn door????

So I searched Yelp and found this location about 3 miles from my workplace. It's easy to access because it's right off Landover Road with his own parking lot. It's old and there's no lobby. You just walk in and wait in line for a postmaster to help you. It's a little bit offputting that there's a Plexiglass barrier between you and the workers. I did not have to wait. The postal worker was very cordial and helped me find the best way to mail my package to my nephew in Michigan. I'll be back in December to buy my Christmas stamps.

Customer service are representatives from different countries and are limited in assisting. UPS refuses to assist thousands of customers with locating their packages. There is no customer-facing staff at the facility. When I ask customer service representatives to speak to someone in the United States, they refuse. This is horrific customer service and if this is before the expected 30,000 layoffs, I don't want to know what it will be after. I've said it in other post office reviews, but I rarely step in there to drop off boxes or other mail -- and at this point I didn't need steps... so 98% of my visits were PO Box checks for the fam. I can count the times that I saw actual crowds, which were usually around holidays or on weekend afternoons. And I appreciate, though the interactions were minimal, that the staff in there were always kind. A lot of people that plan to be in and out tend to park right outside the door... but do it at your own risk, and it's technically not supposed to be a parking space! I saw many get ticketed in the past. And the parking spaces aren't far at all. I will say that since that LA Fitness opened up years ago that the lot is way busier, so you may have to park far haha.

As far as I know it is full service and it is never crowded. I had to go in during this girl Rona and it was virtually empty, which was completely different from others that I passed that many folks waiting in lines outside. Of course masks were required and 6ft lines were but in place in addition to limit on who is allowed in the lobby. I have always been pleased with the staff in this location. I will continue to return of course when remember!
