( Government name: Ellie) As soon as we entered we noticed the overwhelming smell. Not just a pet store funk that's normal. The whole store smelled like pee. Yikes. Maybe it was a rough wash day. Our normal warm greeting was also missed. Everyone seemed to be in a bit of a mood, except the folks with the kitten. Who can be mad with a kitten. When we got home we looked for when the changeover happened. Saw there was a new ownership coupon offered but never mentioned. I've been going to pet world for about 5 years now but as of 2025 management needs to step up. I'd…read morelove to change this review but I'd need to see: 1. The holding policy clarified. One day they told me an animal can't be held for pickup. The next time they said they'd write NFS on it and wait for the manager to call back. The animal sold in the meantime. 2. I have left an in-person call-back number twice now because the manager would not pick up their phone when I had a specialty question. I have gotten no communication. 3. The voicemail of the store to accept messages. There's not a posted email, you cannot message the store on FB, and the answering machine is full. There's no way to get a hold of the business. I love shopping local but management like this is going to push me to online ordering from cheaper places that actually respond.
