I retained the text messages to prove this. I left an emergency contact who was my nephew in the event he did not do well or became ill during his stay. My emergency contact was never called. When my husband and I picked him up, he was scared, confused, very dirty and seemed very dazed. I asked if they used any sedation on him and I was told "no" by the owner who identified himself as Tom. (this conversation was done through email) He told me that my dog was not a good fit for the facility. He told me he stayed in his kennel/suite and he had to be hand fed. He told me that his staff tried to clean him after his "accidents". My dog is perfectly trained and has never had accidents. We recently moved back to Rochester, NY from another state. In our previous state he was boarded multiple times and was enrolled in daycare. He NEVER had any issues at any prior establishment and was always returned calm, clean and happy. I feel responsible in some ways because I never was shown the facility beyond the front desk. Although the website has a photo of an outside area, when we picked him up and drove to the back of the building, there was no outdoor space or fenced in play area of any sort. I do not understand why they would have allowed my dog to suffer like that for 10 days without contacting me or my emergency contact. the only reason I can think of is that they wanted their full 10 day fee of $545. I would never leave my pet with this establishment.

After breaking the fence several times, and complaining to them, they switched to the "old" system, which was a true endless boundary. Worked until two weeks ago when my dog decided to break the fence again without issue. I then tested it myself, to find out the collar wasn't activating past the line. Called today and was told to pay a $115 service charge to have them come diagnose the issue with their system. Website lies, it's not the best system, not 100% success rate.

I admit he's been a challenge. She's both direct and sensitive, not at all a drill sergeant type of trainer, and she is certainly aware of the nature of different breeds and individual dogs.
