So I walk in and look for them, and read the aisle signage above me, and I can't find them. I looped around the whole store, and was like ok, they have to have dog treats, so I started walking around again. They have signage for like every brand of dog food so I thought maybe the treats were mixed in with the different brands. So I went up and down every aisle and still found nothing. Finally a found a spot with a bunch of treats...but they were for cats! I missed them the first time around because I thought it was a cat section. So I'm like maybe dog treats are in the aisle opposite cat treats, but they were not. So, the store is not that big and I was feeling ridiculous, so I finally asked someone (which I never do). He showed me where they were, and they were actually the very first aisle. However, they're behind the cash registers, so I just skipped that aisle all together really. I felt stupid for not seeing them, so I looked up at the sign, and I still didn't see dog treats listed on it. I had come from work and still had my dress shoes on, so my feet hurt which was making me cranky, so maybe that's why I was frustrated, but I feel like dog treats shouldn't be hard to find at a pet store. That first aisle is pretty hidden by the registers, so maybe they could put something less popular up there. Or make a big sign for people like me showing where they are. :)

My puppy went in for an appointment today with Bella ( a new groomer) when I arrived it seemed that the cut was perfect but as I got in my car I noticed that he had a deep cup that was red and bleeding on his leg and he also has redness at his testical area that had spot bleeding and redness also had redness under his arm that look like a scratch as well. I called back Pet Supplies Plus every time I notice something so I had to make at least three calls in between noticing. I was told that I would be accommodated to the point that I was told that if he needed to go to the vet, they would pay for it or I could talk to a manager along with a couple Recommend recommendations that were recommended by someone else that worked there. This was all fine however, it's more of accountability. There is just no way that Bella did not notice after she cut my dog that he was bleeding. This should have been told to me when I picked him up, not for me to get in my car and find out that he had been cut. I understand That the new staff was new and I tried to have enough patience, but each time I saw an issue it was making me more upset. however, there's also an accountability that needs to be put in place. If you make a mistake you need to tell the owner and maybe I would have been more accepting of it. Also, I got a full groom and his nails weren't even cut and some of his hair under him, was not even with The other parts of his hair( so other in other words , he still had long pieces of hair when it should have been cut short near his belly) again, this is more of a accountability post, regardless of their recommendations and accommodations that were given things like this need to be told to the owner. I also understand that my puppy is one to move around, but this is his second time getting cut by a groomer in the first Time he was not cut short, but the third time he was the same as exact length that we went to Pet Supplies Plus for and we had no problem with any scratches or any injuries even with him being busy if he was moving around.

I called them multiple times and texted with the staff to ensure that he was doing alright. I was told that he was "sad", but that he was doing fine and was alright." I retained the text messages to prove this. I left an emergency contact who was my nephew in the event he did not do well or became ill during his stay. My emergency contact was never called. When my husband and I picked him up, he was scared, confused, very dirty and seemed very dazed. I asked if they used any sedation on him and I was told "no" by the owner who identified himself as Tom. (this conversation was done through email) He told me that my dog was not a good fit for the facility. He told me he stayed in his kennel/suite and he had to be hand fed. He told me that his staff tried to clean him after his "accidents". My dog is perfectly trained and has never had accidents. We recently moved back to Rochester, NY from another state. In our previous state he was boarded multiple times and was enrolled in daycare. He NEVER had any issues at any prior establishment and was always returned calm, clean and happy. I feel responsible in some ways because I never was shown the facility beyond the front desk. Although the website has a photo of an outside area, when we picked him up and drove to the back of the building, there was no outdoor space or fenced in play area of any sort. I do not understand why they would have allowed my dog to suffer like that for 10 days without contacting me or my emergency contact. the only reason I can think of is that they wanted their full 10 day fee of $545. I would never leave my pet with this establishment.

I see there have been some negative reviews- know that they are operating with volunteers and are very low-budget. With that said, the volunteers I worked with were very nice and doing their "job." They want to know that you will will provide a loving and safe home before adopting. You will be "screened" and need to wait a few days before taking your new kitty home. There is also an adoption fee, they need to cover costs. The sweet cat we adopted was in a foster home and clearly very well-cared for. She was socialized with other pets and the owner gave her lots of attention. We are so happy with our new kitty, Phoebe Katz, THANK YOU!

Then I got to see the cats. The cat I was interested in was listed as gentle and loving. The gentleman who came to get her out of her cage had to call another staff to help him because he said she was "difficult". They let you interact with the cat you choose in a small room in the back. The room was crowded with random furniture and generally unpleasant. I understand that cats can be really nervous with strangers but there was no way to tell what her temperament might be in these surroundings. They offered to have the foster call me to talk more about her. Again, no call, no response. I'm guessing some of the people in there were probably volunteers but they didn't seem to know much about the cats in there (or much about cats in general). All in all it was a really disappointing experience. I ended up adopting from another agency.
