I've never taken any of my dogs to daycare before. Always worried something would happen when not on my watch and working in the industry know the horror stories. (I'm a dog groomer). But since day one I have had no complaints about this place. My dog gets SO excited she doesn't even look back at me. She's never come home hurt or sick. She comes home and sleeps like a baby! I will say some of the "older" front desk folks come off a little standoffish but I think that's just their personalities. I just know Being a groomer I'm always really excited to talk to my dogs owners and about their dogs. But again lovely place! read more

Dog E Woggy's hosts dog play groups through the colder months and we brought our pup for the first time today. We want to make sure that our new addition has many experiences with other dogs and people and decided to try out the play group to help him socialize. Saturday play groups are split into small and low energy dogs, and medium and large high energy dogs in a second group. Our guy is less than 20 pounds and a bit shy to begin with so we went with the small dog group and he did great. There were maybe 20 dogs in the play area with owners. I prefer this to regular day care because each owner is responsible for watching their own dog. The day care area is opposite the play group area and the dogs seemed happy to be there, there are a few couches in each space for dogs to relax and rest and a few dogs even got under a blanket to sleep. I'm a nearing middle aged woman with no children and so I waste a bunch of money on my cute pets, so I've looked at a few dog daycare centers recently and most are very similar, you get a fenced/ glassed area with resilient flooring and a bunch of dogs milling around. Dog E. Woggy's space is at least twice the size of Pet Smart with four separate caged areas. We will absolutely be back for the play group and potentially day care in the winter. There are other dog daycare companies that have webcams so you can see your pet during the day, and I would love to see them at Dog E. Woggy's as well, but for the meantime we will be back to playgroup for our new buddy to play with some new friends. read more

Update! They have a new location on Atlantic, #410, again a bit hard to find, but aren't all hidden gems?? My dog had the same stellar care, exercised outdoors, nighttime Kong with peanut butter and pumpkin. Had her nails trimmed and I was able to call and check on her while away. I drive from the suburbs I trust this place so much!! read more

Dog E Woggy's K-9 Playtime - Pet Sitting Near Me - Rochester, New York

I brought our 6 month old springer doodle here for the puppy playtime hour on a Saturday and she loved it! They were very nice here, and the man supervising the event was very good with all the dogs. I spoke with the owner over the phone and she was very attentive to all my questions. Our pup was supposed to board here in a few weeks over the holidays while we were traveling, so I did get a chance to see the private suites where she would be staying. It was clean, tiled, and each suite has walls floor to ceiling--so it is nice and private for pup! Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our control, we will have to board her at the vet because it will be too soon after she gets spayed (she was supposed to get fixed a week ago). Most dogs that stay overnight here get to hang out with all the daycare dogs--which would have been a blast for her, but too much rigorous activity after her operation. :( Next time we need to board her, we will definitely try to get a spot here! We love Dog E Woggys and so does our dog, Waffles! Waffles started off going to Saturday morning playgroups two years ago, which were a great way for him to socialize with other dogs his size (the groups are split out into small and large dogs) in a supervised environment. He's been going to their daycare once a week for about two years and you can tell he loves it - he gets so excited we tell him it's time to go to Dog E Woggys. The staff is so incredibly nice, and you can tell they care about all the dogs as if they were their own. They usually take pictures each day and post them on Facebook so you can see what kind of fun your dog has been having. They have a HUGE space after their move, which includes outdoor space. They bring out the kiddie pools on hot days, and have a bunch of toys and plastic mini jungle gyms the dogs can play on. The owner is highly involved with a local rescue and is always fostering dogs. read more

Took my dog here to have some company while I was working and for me it was a horrible experience. When I picked up my buddy he was very anxious and shaking. They have way to many dogs for such a small place. Also, I witness some fighting between dogs when I picked him up. Not only did I hear the owner Jennifer talk about other dog owners she seemed miserable as well. I will never return and will not be recommending to anyone. read more

I stopped in randomly before sending my cavalier King Charles here. The front office part reeked of urine and was the first red flag. I asked the guy if I could take a look around and was told I could come on a Saturday when the owners can watch their pups play with other dogs. He then changed his mind and told me I could come inside and see the four other cavaliers. They were inside a large cage with an old ottoman. It was hot, stuffy, and humid. No toys, and didn't see any water. It was a beautiful day out and I asked why these dogs were not outside with the others. He said "we rotate them". I immediately left and knew I would never step foot in this place again. Bad first impression- I would feel guilty leaving my dog at this "facility". read more

LOVE this place. Super friendly, wonderfully priced. Our puppies go there 1-2 times a week and they both love it, even the one who's a Nervous Nellie. Dog E Woggy's has an abundance of staff who ADORE dogs and give them the love and attention they deserve. It's right near the DiBella's and Record Town on East Ave, which is a convenient location just off the Winton Rd exit of 490, which makes for easy access. The space is huge and they divide up the dogs into rooms based on size and temperament. I couldn't be happier with this place. When our dogs come home, they just want to nap. The hours are great too - 7am drop off, 8pm pickup some days (6pm pickup other days), open on weekends, and negotiable drop off and pick up times. They also have a great deal -- your first time is free and there are great packages for multiple visits. read more

Dog E. Woggy's K-9 Playtime was an outstanding experience for our 2yrs old Shih-Tzu. We were traveling through Rochester, NY with plans to spend the day at 2 area museums before continuing on our road trip. The wife found Dog E. Woggy's K-9 Playtime online and worked with the owner Jennifer to schedule a "puppy playtime" day for our dog while we were off sightseeing. Jennifer, Kyla and everyone there were absolutely wonderful and our dog had a lovely time. Dog E. Woggy's K-9 Playtime is spacious, super clean (no odors whatsoever), and extremely friendly. The dogs appeared to have plenty of space and apparatus to enjoy. There is an outdoor area we didn't see but did hear about. The cost is a bargain and the experience for your pet and sense of confidence you'll have are priceless. Next time we're back in Rochester another puppy playtime date is absolutely on the agenda. Jennifer makes it seem like your dog is the only dog that matters, and if she makes me feel this way, I am sure she makes the other dog companions feel the same! I rescued my dog two months ago and after giving him some time to get settled, I decided to try daycare so he could burn some energy during the cold winter months. I chose Dog E Woggys based on a recommendation from a friend. Other than the woman at the desk I didn't meet any of the other employees when I arrived including the ones who would be supervising my dog. I was never shown the facility or the area where my dog would be spending the day and there was no explanation of the set up or process. The person on the phone when I called to schedule also did not provide that information. A few hours after I left, I received a call telling me I needed to come pick up my dog because he was having trouble with their high volume of dogs. I respect and have no problem with their feeling that it wasn't a good fit for him and I'm in no way bothered that they asked me to come get him...I am however bothered that I was required to pay the hourly rate for the time he was there. Per their website the first day is free but only if you buy a package. If they decide it's not a good fit and therefore you won't be buying a package, apparently you have to pay for the day. This was never explained to me at any point and I only figured it out when I had to guess why I was being charged when asked how I would be paying. For a group that appears very "dog rescue friendly," they don't seem to do much to support those of us who have rescues. I would've expected more understanding for what it's like to have a rescued dog. You didn't see the dog grow up so you have no choice but to base your decisions on what you've heard & observed and unfortunately, some things, you don't know until you try. Instead of recognizing that and at the very least providing a discounted rate due to the unique circumstances of a rescue dog, they treated it like it was my fault and they were penalizing me by charging the full "by the hour" price. When I seemed confused, I was treated like I should've known this would be the case despite their lack of explanation. My dog didn't hurt a person or another dog and he's not a mean dog in any way..he was just scared and confused. Overall it was a poor first impression and a bad experience. Thankfully there are other highly recommended daycares in the area. read more

Seems like a great place but as someone who has worked with dogs before I can see the unfortunate flaws. Way too much anxious dogs barking , and i've heard workers yelling at the dogs. My dog and other dogs were injured in a dog fight more than once! The owner Jennifer seems nice but often times made smart remarks about other owners. This place is just totally two sided I won't be going there again! read more
