I was helping my friend move from Phoenix to Hawaii and I choose Cardinal as it was referred by a close friend of mine. I called them and got the quote, its little over the budget but I think its worth paying. The customer service was very prompt and was very easy to get a rep over the phone. He answered all my questions and was very courteous. Finally the guys arrived on the day. They were very professional at packing all my friends stuff. My friend had lots of glass and fragile things, the guys took good care of packing those things. I really like the guys the way they packed the things and loaded into the vehicle. Withing a little time all my friends stuff was packed and loaded into the vehicle. The only problem was it was very delayed to get to the destination as there was few problems faced by the driver getting the stuff to Hawaii. The driver and the company kept me & my friend informed from time to time basis which was good. read more

It was evident that the boxes and drawers were rummaged through and the packing materials she paid a few hundred dollars for were removed and everything was saran wrapped. Several items broken. I'm very suspicious of these other 5-star reviews after going throughout the experience we had with Cardinal. Moving from Eureka, California to Hilo, Hawaii. It was a living nightmare for me and my wife. The day of the move, they "strong-armed" us for another $5,000 dollars, or else they wouldn't take the items that were already on a previous estimate. As it turned out we proved that they were trying to exaggerate and "pad" our bill with an overestimation of the square footage needed for our move. At the receiving end, there movers took over a month to deliver the container that was sent by Matson and sitting on their dock for weeks in Hawaii. Once the deliver actually happened, they swamped us with 8 delivery "boys". They were calling off wrong numbers and duplicate numbers to mix up our count-of of the original manifest of items. We had 11 boxes missing, and to this day(over a year later) have never been found. we also had many pieces of fine furniture damaged and one dresser destroyed with a broken leg. My grandmothers heirloom dishes were all broken, dishes that were well packed in foam and cardboard dividers in a specifically made for dishes moving box, that was well marked "fragile and glass". They also tried to delivery someone else's tools and golf clubs in our load. So I suspect they delivered our 11 boxes to someone else? Stay clear of this company, they are not only expensive, but also cause a lot of heart ache and anxiety at the worst time, during a move that's already stressful! BTW, Cardinal had the nerve to offer us $200 for our claim with the requirement that we must give no negative reviews, which we turned down! read more

We used this place to move from Arizona to Hawaii a few months back. We decided to go with this company because they quoted us half the price that other moving companies quoted us. The quotes were generated from the weights and dimensions of each box / piece of furniture that i intended to ship. However, when the movers came and loaded our belongings onto the truck, we were told that the price was WAY more than the quote. at this point, it was too late to find a new quote with a new company since we were scheduled to be on a plane the next week. additionally, our stuff was ALREADY ON THE TRUCK! so what to do? well we let the guys take our stuff and payed the 60% down of the new increased price. we were thinking that, if we get the company on the phone and refer to the quote i was given, then maybe they will do the right thing and give us the quoted price. we were so wrong. when i called the first 10 times, the person that originally handled my account wasn't in (for 2 weeks). They also had my account linked to some other person's name (whom i have never heard of). Then, when i finally get a manager to speak to me, he tells me that their emails/computers were down so they couldn't retrieve my quote. After many other calls, I was told that someone actually broke into their business and took all of their CPU's. That was either another lie in the series or, that really did happen because they performed their poor business practices on someone with a shorter temper and the means to get even. When my quote is finally retrieved, I am told that the weights and dimensions of my belongings that I gave to the representative that helped me, were nowhere in the system. She generated the quote out of thin air. Probably just to get my business. Additionally, when my belongings did arrive, about $1000 of furniture was damaged beyond repair. If i had known that these people were just going to trash my things, I would have saved the headache and sold it all in arizona before i moved. With regard to the 2 positive reviews for this company: things just dont add up: One of the reviews is from a guy that moved from arizona to chicago he only has 2 reviews under his belt: the cardinal one and another for a place in california. if he moved from arizona to chicago, then why yelp about a place in california? compensation? the other good review came from a woman who moved to hawaii. her review was solely based on the fact that the "process" was explained to her. money wasn't an option to this reviewer since she moved her entire family (very costly) and only other 2 reviews were for a salon and an overpriced tourist attraction. she didn't pick cardinal based on price, but rather on the fact that they talked to her the most. she also comments on the movers themselves but, what she fails to realize is, the movers, truck drivers and shippers are not employed by cardinal at all. they are subcontracted to do the physical labor and nothing more. I got the run-around and received no compensation. This is the worst company to choose if you want to move. The other companies that quote you higher are just being honest. if you are thinking about using them, DON'T. honestly, i don't usually yelp a place unless i love the place, and truly wish them the best, or if i hate the place and really want to save other consumers from losing their money and having an equally horrible experience. I used Cardinal Moving Systems with my last move. I researched quite a few companies before going with Cardinal. The reasons that set them apart from the others: 1. They were very prompt with my request for a quote. Once I received a quote, they didn't badger me like some other places on if I made a decision yet. That drove me nuts when I would get email upon email after just receiving the quote. 2. They were very informative and gave me honest answers. They even gave me advice on some things I didn't even think of (and I've moved quite a bit) 3. They didn't break anything! I've had horrible experiences with movers before breaking stuff and tossing my valuables around like they were footballs. The guys even showed up a little early, which I didn't mind at all. I did my international move from California to Argentina with this company, It was a terrible experience. After loading the truck and once the had my stuff, they asked for more money than was quoted to me. Once the shipment arrived in argentina the hadn't made the corresponding payments for me to take my stuff out the port again! This meant I had to pay for extra days of parking of the container in the port as well as more movements of the containers. On their email they tell me to pay and that I will be refunded by them, (saying is the fastest war for mw to get my stuff out of the port). I did pay and got all my stuff but it's been 6 months I am trying to collect the refund from them, I doubt I ever will by this point. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience!! I wish I had read these reviews before I selected this company back in Sept./Oct. '11 for my relocation to HI. Let me first say that the folks that packed and loaded my belongings in CA and the gentlemen that moved my belongings into my unit in Honolulu did a great job. No issues with them. However, every other aspect of their Cardinal's services was abysmal. The severely misquoted me on the costs to store my furnishings in Long Beach. Calculated pro-rated charges improperly. Would not return numerous calls. The biggest issue was when I was ready to have my belongings shipped. I contacted them on Jan. 17 and told them I would be ready to receive my belongings on Feb. 8. I called them repeatedly and they would answer but could not give me a date when they would ship. They said they would call when they had a date. When I threatened litigation the morning of Feb. 9th they called me later that afternoon and told me my stuff would ship out on Feb. 11. Goods were finally delivered on Feb. 24th. That's 39 days!!! Then they would not cooperate with me on the move-in date. I requested sat., if not, Friday. They gave me Thus. I took the afternoon off and then they didn't show on Friday. I took the morning of Friday off and they showed up 2.5 hours late. So for something that should take 3 hours on my Sat. I needed to take 1.5 days off of work. Terrible time seemingly without end. I cannot recommend Cardinal Moving Systems. The resulting packing and transfer and delivery of the household goods has been frustrating, stressful, uncomfortable, and unnecessarily a very bad experience. If anyone in the organization were honest about the process and actually tracked individual shipments and returned phone calls, our impressions might be different. On the 1st day the furniture was supposed to arrive in Hilo, Hawaii we received a call that the goods had not arrived at the dock in LA. NONE OF OUR PHONE CALLS WERE RETURNED to explain what was happening. We were living in an empty house. For the next six weeks our calls were transferred to "dispatch" and then given to a variety of people where we heard multiple stories as to what might be happening. We expected the furniture to be picked up in Colorado Springs by a moving van and taken to Matson in Los Angeles for shipping to Hawaii. Instead, a local company in a rent-a-truck took the furniture to storage in Denver where the goods eventually stayed for a month.... It seems that there were other shipments in storage before ours. We had not been informed about our goods being stored in route. This began our issues with not getting answers to questions about the process of moving our goods and the uncertainty. When the furniture eventually arrived in LA, we were given a delivery week and assured that the furniture was on the boat. In fact, later we were told "they were looking for a container" while the next boat had already left. At this point we had been in the empty house for three weeks and had cancelled a flight back to Colorado because of the assurance from dispatch that the furniture was "on the boat". After the furniture really left LA eight days later, we were given a delivery week. On the second day of the delivery week, after our four phone calls, we discovered that the furniture was on the other side of the island, Kona instead of Hilo. Local movers there will bring our load in two days. Not forgotten is the added inconvenience and expense of fees and fare increases for changing airline tickets for mainland appointments to accommodate the continuing changing arrival dates. What money that might have been saved with Cardinal Moving Systems was spent on unpredicatable delays because of a their moving process. Cardinal Moving Systems is using subcontractors and storage warehouses and there are potentially unpredictable delays that were never described, either before the move or after. SUPREME! SERVICE. simply the best. I need a urgent out of state move, They were so cordial over the phone I just knew I had to go with them as the movers of my choice. They helped me out with an astounding deal I couldn't pass up. They moved my form Colorado to Arizona all in one move, I need the move in such a short notice, that I got turned down by numerous other moving companies. When the three men showed up they were very polite, and considerate. They packed up everything nicely and quickly without damaging any of my positions. They arrived at my new location early not on time but early, That shocked me, usually movers are late. The movers unpacked everything just as fast if not faster then when the loaded up. nothing was damaged, or missing these guys were on point, and highly recommend them for your next move! So far, so bad. First of all, BBB has nothing to do with this company. Hawai's BBB identified a pattern in complaints for this company as follows: Consumers allege they are given an estimate to move their belongings and, on the day of the move, the cost increases up to three (3) times the original quote. This quote is exactly right. Missing items, broken items, broken furniture, no return phone calls, the movers on the Big Island are AHOLES, they don't care about you or your items and have no respect for either. Charged $500.00 to crate an ATV which was wrapped in cardboard, large tool boxes on wheels, totaled, and the list goes on. Everything was triple wrapped so to avoid breakage, family heirlooms are irreplaceable, and when they opened the back of the moving truck in Hawaii, it looked like the truck rolled a few times. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! DO NOT USE CARDINAL MOVING SYSTEMS! Cardinal Moving Systems is the most unprofessional, unorganized AND unresponsive companies I have ever dealt with. I made a move from Seattle to Texas and worked with their "sales representative" Kristal on my move. I went with Cardinal because they quoted me a good price for my company paid move. I also needed assurance that my belongings be in Texas no later than September 10th and was assured by phone and email this would happen. After my belongings were picked up, I was charged an additional $400 on top of my initial quote! I arrived in Texas on the 9th and called to check on the status of my move, only to find that my stuff was STILL sitting in a WAREHOUSE?! in Seattle. 9 days later! So they picked my stuff up on the 31st of August and 9 days later they come to tell me it is still in Seattle and the dispatcher does not know when a truck is going to be available to bring my stuff to Texas. Wow, beyond frustrated at that point. I called back 2 days later to hear my stuff was on a truck and on its way arriving on the 17th (7 days later than what I was told). My stuff went from LA to Phoenix and this took them 7 days, then finally they gave me an arrival date of September 22 (yes 22 days later), and I even received a call from the driver confirming he would be in Texas and be at my location from 2-4. Well guess, what the driver NEVER showed and his cell phone WAS TURNED OFF ALL DAY and finally after speaking to several representatives assuring me my driver indeed was in Texas and on his way, I receive a call at 6:00pm to tell me the driver is in NEW MEXICO and my stuff will not be arriving for another 2 days! I have never heard from the driver, my sales representative or the manager of the company who hides behind their customer representatives. Ready for the slap in the face.... She tells me she is going to give me $200.00 for the inconvenience, wow THANKS but not thanks. Needless to say, everyone at the establishment has lied to me. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

I've moved to and from Hawaii seven times. My recent move with Cardinal Moving Systems was by far the most unsatisfactory of all. They mis-represented what we could take then wanted to charge us more for "over-sized items"... they were late delivering even after having our goods for well over a month (I've had moves delivered door to door in under two weeks from Hawaii to California). They require all payment upfront...ALL the risk is transferred to the customer which seems inequitable to me. There is no way I would use Cardinal Moving Systems again. Cardinal Moving Systems Perhaps one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I booked out of their office in LA, but had to contact main office where I received little assistance. They were suppose to move my household goods from Foster City, CA to Istanbul. They lost the original order so did not show up for initial move. Had to call them and rebooked and then showed up 2 days early by independent contractor. Took over 4 months and could not get any information from them on status of goods. Had to resend contract signature from Istanbul after they lost it again. Even agent in Istanbul said they were incompetent. To top it off they lost many of our electronics that were probably stolen somewhere along the line. They had a good salesperson at the start but after that it was a disaster. I recently moved with Cardinal movers and honestly it was a pretty good positive experience, they made seem moving like it was the easiest thing to do. When I call them to get a quote, Cardinal movers representatives, were nice, attentive, and responded to all my questions. Move day arrived and the guys arrived10 minutes before the scheduled time which was very efficient. They moved my apartment in less than 2 hours, one hour less than what the sales rep estimated so that saved me extra time and money. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!! I paid almost double of what they quoted me. The quote was done over the phone, and the sales representative insisted that his quote was accurate! When I asked for him to send someone down to do a physical quote, he said it wasn't necessary. I should have known from then that it was a bad idea. So not only was the price not nearly what it actually costed me, he wrote down the wrong address! On top of that, he scheduled it for a non-work day, so the guys were not in a good mood, and made that completely clear that they weren't supposed to work that day. In addition, the guys were sloppy, forgot two of my items, and slightly damaged my front door of the apartment I was renting. I've lived in Hawaii my whole life up until this move, and I normally give most Hawaii businesses the benefit of the doubt, but I did not feel the aloha spirit at all from this company. I actually experienced way better customer service from the mainland crew. I do NOT recommend using Cardinal Moving Systems when moving from Hawaii. I don't even know where to start. I researched a moving company to move my wife's car from Hawaii to Delaware while I was deployed. Called around, Cardinal had the best price by about $400 (go figure). I called in March for an estimate and to ask a few questions, I was quoted $1,975 everything included "port to door" as they call it, the representative (I think his name was Noah) was extremely adamant that I would not pay a DIME more than $1,975 for the entire move (AWESOME!!), he then asked when I was looking at having the vehicle shipped, I said not until around May 20th as my wife was going to need her car on Oahu until the day she left. He was surprised I called so early (I always do) but, I wanted to make sure my wife had nothing to worry about but dropping the car off. Fast forward to April 25th, at about 7:30am I called and said I wanted to put the deposit down (I was told was $125) for the move on May 20th. I was told, there was no reason to do it so early, I told him I was leaving ASAP for Afghanistan and didn't want my wife to worry about it so, I gave him my credit card info over the phone, and was told I would be charged the deposit and gave them the address the car was to be dropped off at. Everything is gravy right? HELL NO! About 6 hours later, I get an email (thank God for smartphones right?) stating I needed to sign and fax the receipt for my credit card to be charged. So I called them and asked WTF? I was told that I didn't need to do ANYTHING and that it was just my receipt for the transaction, cool beans (on the plane, Afghanistan bound I went). Fast forward about 2 weeks, roughly the middle of May. Checked my bank account and noticed they hadn't taken out the deposit yet. So I called them (FROM AFGHANISTAN) and asked what the deal was and wanted to make sure I was still on track to have the car dropped off. I was told, yes, everything is fine for my drop off date of May 23rd, I said NO! MAY 20TH, my wife will not be in Hawaii on May 23rd. He said, "that's what I meant", seriously? Then they asked for the delivery address again, and I gave it to them, AGAIN. 2 days later, I get an email asking for the delivery address in Delaware, I responded with an email and a phone call and asked them if they communicate as it is now the 3rd time I gave them the information. I was told that this new "representative" would be handling my account and was put on the phone with Terry (who was extremely nice and understanding) who AGAIN asked for my delivery address, at this point I just think its funny. Everything went smooth as silk at the port on Sand Island (NO thanks to Cardinal, as it was all Matson) when my wife dropped the car off on May 20th. NO credit goes to Cardinal for this as they were not present. Now it is June 4th, still no charge for the deposit BUT, Matson charged me the $872 so that left me with an outstanding balance of around $1,103 right? Wrong, as I found out when I called asking about the status of the car. I was told it would be ready for pick up in California in roughly 3 days, I said THE CAR IS SUPPOSED TO BE DRIVEN TO DELAWARE!!!!!!!! I was put on hold for about 5 minutes, they came back on the phone and said I was right (well no shit), and they had the driver ready to retrieve the car and drive it to Delaware. Guess what? Yep, asked for my delivery address again. I then asked, how much do I have left to pay? I was told $1,500, I said that is INCORRECT MY FRIEND, I was quoted $1,975, Matson took $872, that leaves $1,103. He said, you were only quoted $1,975? I said yes, I will forward you the email Noel sent me. He said it wasn't necessary and "updated my file" (which I now believe was doodling on a post-it note). I also asked if they could provide any kind of tracking information, to which he gave me the Matson booking number. I went onto Matson's website, it it was not the right number. I had my wife call and get the correct info that same day. On June 6th, they FINALLY charged my account the $175 deposit, leaving me with a balance of $928. On June 14th I get an email from Cardinal, stating my car was ready to be picked up in Long Beach, CA. Now, my half of the conversations with these guys are a bit more aggressive as this is complete unsatisfactory. They said it was a mistake and that the vehicle was picked up and en-route to Delaware. June 16th, I get a charge for $224 from Regal Trucking, now leaving me with a balance of $702. Awesome, my wife may have her car after all!!!! The next day, I get a frantic email from my wife saying she just got off the phone with the truck driver and he told her he owed $1,100. She tried explaining to him that it was incorrect and he said, I don't have all day to wait for you to scrounge up some change, WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU ONLY OWED $702? They also had the audacity to charge me an additional $600 for using their boxes to rebox my stuff. They took over 2 months to deliver to Hawaii from California. AWFUL, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Mine mirrors a previous review from Joshua.. mine, too, was to Hawaii. You get one quoted price based on YOUR best guess over the phone, no walk through estimate, then they get your stuff on the truck and the game changes! They price you on moving a dresser, but don't factor in anything INSIDE the dresser. My price nearly TRIPLED! You're on too tight of a schedule to start over, and they know that!! And DO NOT expect your shipment to get to Hawaii when they promise it. Buried in the fine print is a line stating it can come within 45 DAYS!! Try living in Hawaii for 45 days with nothing. I wound up having THREE different pickups over two weeks, one after I had already moved. My items arrived on two different occasions. It's a real treat taking two different days off at your new job because an incompetent moving company has botched your move. Also read the fine print on your payments... they want chunks up front, chunks before they ship it to Hawaii, and the final payment before they bring it. You are left in purgatory for a few days, because they have both your money and your items. Let me stress, Matson shipping (they take it from the port in CA to the port in HI) are great. The movers on the Hawaii end of the deal were hard working and pleasant. But everyone on the mainland is HORRIBLE. If you hate yourself enough to fall for Cardinal's low price quote, do yourself one favor. SLAM THE DOOR SHUT if two guys with Russian accents show up to start your move. They are slow, lazy, and stupid. They packed chairs but left the table behind. They yanked the holding arms off a mirror so some unknown reason. And you can barely, barely understand them. My first contact was with Frank Rivera, he promised and assured me that I was getting the best deal. He quoted me lower than the other moving company. Right after I agreed and paid my deposit, Frank Rivera stopped calling me in fact no one from the cardinal called me again??? I had to initiate the call and schedule the pick up date, even then no one called the day prior to the scheduled date of pick up to confirm that they were coming and the time they were coming, I had to call them multiple times just to ensure that someone is coming as we are leaving in a couple of days. No one called to confirm with me so I was very stressed out! the day of the pick up, I was surprised when a rental truck was parked outside my home and 3 gentleman 2 of which did not speak any english so the one who spoke english was translating, not to sound mean but I was very scared because they looked very intimidating. As soon as they were in the house they split up and began to carry things out to the truck. I left my high value items unboxed as I was given instructions to leave my high value items avail to show the movers so that they can make note. I explained this to the mover that spoke english and I assumed that it was noted. After my belongings were in the truck I was shocked when I was given my final bill which has now tripled to what I was originally quoted by Frank Rivera. I asked how that was possible? I was informed that I had more items that what I was quoted. I was so frustrated because at this point It was too late since everything was already loaded. It would have been nice if they would have told me this ahead of time. Upset as I was, I went ahead and paid for the new amount...but wait before they left, I was asked for a tip $300 to be exact??? When our household goods arrived in Hawaii, someone called to tell us that they had to deliver it that very day or else we would be charge additional fee. I was again upset because we were not given any notice, it was raining hard and I had to pick up my two elementary school children from school. Thankfully, my husband was able to come home from work. When the movers arrived to deliver our stuff, I knew something was wrong because the boxes were not sealed in fact some of the boxes were open. They were calling out numbers and stacking boxes on top of each other, as I began to look in the open boxes I noticed that my high value items were missing and as I continued to unpacked I notice more items were either broken or missing. Keureg coffee maker I began to cry when I noticed that the bags were missing because most of them were gifted to me by my late grandmother. I took very good care of those items and treasured them, the delivery guy mentioned to me that this type of stuff happens all the time, things always gets missing and when they deliver they get blame for it. He instructed me to write down what was missing and contact cardinal which I did that very same day. Ok to summarize everything, after I contacted cardinal and spoke with Lee, she instructed me to send her an email with my claim detailing the items that was missing as she claim she was going to do an investigation. 5 weeks passed and I heard nothing so I contacted Lee and she informed me that unfortunately she did not find the items that were missing???? she then instructed me to file yet another claim this time to a third party who will review my claim. I was referred to CMS I spoke with Jennifer who was not helpful at all. In fact she did not even go over my claim properly. She offered me $27.00??? (this does not even amount to the tax for 1 of the bags) for all my missing items as she claims I did not noted during the delivery of my household goods. 5 more weeks passed and nothing was done, I once again contacted Lee and informed her of what Jennifer has offered me, Lee agreed with me and request that I contact Jennifer again to re-evaluate my claim. To make a long story short, it has now been 9 months and I have received NOTHING no compensation for my missing items. I continue to contact Lee and Jennifer but now they have closed my claim because I refused to settle for what they were offering me. Now I am told that I have to go through their arbitration which I would need to pay $250 for them to review my case. How is this possible, I lost ALOT $$$ and I receive nothing now I have to pay $250 for my case to be reviewed??? I am overwhelmed of sadness and anger. RUN RUN RUN. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I do not usually write reviews but my experience was so HORRIBLE I had to let poor unsuspecting people like my former self know. I used them to move from California to France, and it is safe to say that it was one of the worst experiences of my life. They are nothing but a bunch of thieves, and a move that should have taken 4 weeks ended up taking 9 months so they could continuously scam me into paying storage fees. Thousands of dollars later my container finally arrives to France and they did not inform the border to dispatch my container - I have called and e-mailed with no avail. In the estimate process the company was responsive and answered all our questions. It started down hill quickly after we gave a deposit. Our pick up was 5 days late. Our movers arrived and then told us that the quoted price wasn't enough and it would be 35% higher. We tried to call the corporate office and big surprise no one was available that new about our quote. We had no choice to allow them to proceed with the move. We had given them an exact list of box sizes and furniture so there shouldn't have been so far off. We were given a arrival date of our shipment, confirmed several options for delivery and it took another several days for anyone to call back to tell us that it was going to be additional several days past the days they had told us. Upon delivery we had several items broken and missing boxes. We paid extra to have some furniture items taken apart and put back together. Crew put together a couple items together wrong and lost hardware to put together the rest. No one answers the phone when trying to get up dates on our lost boxes. They past off the broken items to a third party who is unresponsive. Horrible experience with Cardinal Moving Systems. Will never use them again. read more

This company does not inform it's customers adequately about their delivery policies. I contracted to move my furniture from California to Maui. I was asked for a "first available date" for receipt. I was charged storage from the time they picked my goods up to the "first available date." When I called to ask about delivery, I was told that they could not schedule delivery. They were going to hold my goods until a container "became available." The first available date is the date they put me on the list to wait for a container. I cannot tell if it will be weeks or months before I receive my goods, but I did learn that there are 5 people ahead of me waiting for containers, and that 1 container was available in the last month. It doesn't look good. I was also told that I was informed that the delivery date was not guaranteed. In fact I should have been informed that it was guaranteed that my first available date was guaranteed NOT to be the first date that my goods would be received. It was the date they start looking for a container! This business apparently ships good economically by finding extra space in containers at a low cost, and makes the recipient wait as long as it takes for an inexpensive option becomes available. I don't object to how they ship, only how they market. Who would agree to wait indefinably for furniture to be delivered if they were told the facts? Nobody at Cardnial will help me. I can't get past the dispatch person. An on-line complaint was unanswered. read more

This is absolutely the WORST moving company anyone could ever make the mistake of using. In 2012, I was moving back home from Hawaii. I had gotten out of the hospital 2 days prior after miscarrying twins, so I needed help packing everything up. Long story short, the actual price I paid for my stuff to be moved? Almost 4 TIMES THE QUOTE. And if you cannot pay your bill of lading immediately, they will store your stuff for you for their "low" cost of $695 per month. If you are stupid enough to use this company, take a picture of every check you send them. They "lost" a $1400 check I sent...then I sent em a pic of the check along with the screeshot of where it had been cashed...suddenly, they magically found it. Over half of my shipment was stolen, broken, boxes severely damaged, or had been ransacked by people working in the company. They subcontract with Hercules, so beware of them too. Upon the theft and destruction of thousands of dollars of items, many to include my daughter's things...her baby swing, big toys, etc...they do not mind stealing from your children, they tried to offer me less than $300 to settle. I never ever want anyone to experience this, so everyone please Please PLEASE...DO NOT USE THESE GUYS OR HERCULES! THEY WILL UNDERQUOTE YOU, OVERCHARGE YOU WITH THEIR STORAGE FEES, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR STUFF, AND THEY WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF YOU LATER. DO NOT TRUST THEM. My total to move was supposed to be around $5500. Total? Somewhere around $20,000. I would give negative stars if I could. Stay away from these guys. read more

Don't use this company to move to Hawaii. My experience was total frustration from beginning to end. I had Cardinal pick up my stored belongings in Chicago for shipping to Hawaii. The sales guy (Frank) doesn't talk to Dispatch. I was told lie after lie of when I would receive my goods and the final blow was when I learned my container went to Maui instead of Oahu. (They claimed that his has never happened before, yeah right!) After being without my household goods for over 40 days, when my belongings arrived, my stone inlaid dining table top was destroyed. I asked for the names of the two "managers" in customer service, and all I could get was first names: Lee and Lydia. I emailed Lee several times asking for her last name, Lydia's last name, and her boss' name. She never responded. So, I had to make multiple calls, ended up in LA with the dispatch, who gave me the names you might need to know. A few minutes after giving them my bank information, over 600.00 was charged to my bank card, in $100-$150.00 amounts. No one else had that information. They did nothing When they picked up my stuff, the added on $400.00. I was meticulous in my measurement, and documented with photos. Picked Cardinal after several months of looking around. Everyone has negative reviews but we needed to get our stuff moved. Called them the 1st of Sept to be picked up at the end on the month. 2 cars and house hold goods all came in perfectly, nothing broken nothing missing. I see many bad reviews, but considering how many people actually move, only the bad ones seem to get the review, so I wanted to take a moment and simply express that Life Happens, Things Break and we must pick up and move on.
