Pickle, Bacon, Mozzarella, Cheddar Pizza (Don't knock it 'til you try it!)
    Cheryl W.

If you are a garlic fan, this is where it's at! The roasted garlic cheese bread had me dreaming about it days after consumption, and the wood fired pizzas are perfection. I've had both the Margherita pizza and pickle pizza with cheese and bacon, and both were too-notch. Eating healthy? There are some great-looking salads here, too. Looking for a coffee drink? They have you covered here, too, with all of the extras and seasonal specialty drinks of the "other" coffee biggies, but cheaper and in support of a small business. Not a coffee drinker? They have beer, wine, pop, milk, juice, hot chocolate, bubble tea, matcha tea, and more, both for in-house consumption and a variety of to-go options. My favorite feature? They have a community board where you can choose to pay it forward by purchasing any meal item for future patrons. The itemized receipt is posted, and anyone can take advantage of another's generosity, no questions asked. The staff is friendly, fast, and genuine, the vibe is casually cool, and there is an outdoor patio out back to take in the sun or shade. This is a must-visit stop in Brighton.

This is our new favorite pizza place! We've ordered carry out from here and it's perfect every time! The pizza is by far the best in the area! The musheroni, flying Hawaiian, and cheese is so good! We literally will be ordering from here from now on. The staff is super sweet and ordering is a piece of cake.

Stopped in here on a recent Friday night. Their menu had a lot to offer. We settled on the pesto pizza and the creamy garlic bread. Service was quick and entrees were delicious. My wife had a London fog - she enjoyed it. I had a Michigan IPA. It was a perfect little stop. I look forward to coming here again.

Finally, a new kind of restaurant! Wood fired pizza in downtown Brighton. We heard from others that we must try this place and I'm so glad we did. They support Michigan businesses so have a lot of made in Michigan beers, spirits, and pop. They still have coffee items available. Right now their food menu is limited to pizza and cheese bread as they perfect their pizzas. "Captain" said they are looking to add salads and a few other items soon. They will also be having breakfast. This place is great and can really use the support of the community. The pizzas are 12 inches and gave 6 slices. Perfect for my husband and I. We got pepperoni and sausage. Simple and fresh. The dough was chewy and I loved the Parmesan on top. The pepperoni was a tad spicy. It was amazing wood fired pizza. Now that I know they have good, high quality pizza, I'm going to brave the Cuban! Mustard on pizza? I'll give it a whirl!

If you are a fan of wood fired pizza as I am than Captains on the Main will definately hit your sweet spot. This new restaurant in Brighton hits on all cylinders when it comes to taste and a well prepared pizza. It all starts with a fresh nice thin crust for me followed by fresh tasty toppings and of course the wood fired cook which adds so much to the pizza in my opinion and is the base premise for Captains on the Main pizza's. For my initial trip to to this business we ordered the Cuban pizza, pepperoni pizza and white truffle cheese bread. The pizza's were well cooked, with a great crust (both top and bottom) and fresh ingredients that combined to provide two very tasty pizza's. The Cuban pizza is definately something you don't see every day but boy of boy it really makes for a tasty pizza. The pickles, ham and pork with wood fired thin crust crust are a great combination. Also, I loved the charred fringes and slight charring on the bottom of the crust that is a signature element of a wood fired pizza. Relative to the truffle cheese bread this was so tasty where the the truffle notes definately come through on this bread and complements the cheese so well. Definately something not to be missed. Overall a very nice addition to the Brighton dining scene and definately the best pizza in the area. If you are a fan of fine wood fired pizza this is a business you should absolutely check out as you will not be disappointed.

I've been here a couple times and I have loved it every time. They have a variety of things, coffee/pizza etc. There is plenty of seating and they have booths which I'm a sucker for good booth seating. The coffee is great but the pizza is even better. The pizza boxes come with a photo that you put your head on top of which is really cute. Anyway if you are looking for an ice family friendly and fun atmosphere this is a great option.

    Cuban pizza...a must try!!!

Highly recommend the wood fired Cuban pizza! Pulled park, ham, pickles & mustard....absolutely fantastic...you won't want to stop eating it! We also enjoyed the healthy pizza....spinach, feta, banana peppers, mushrooms & balsamic reduction. Sign up for their points program for rewards every $100. If you haven't been here, you're missing out!

Having said that, if it had come with pickles it definitely would have amped up the flavor profile of this burger and made for a better sandwich in my opinion. Possibly something to keep in min d and ask for if you go the Burger route. Aside form the burger, I ordered an Old Fashioned with Makers Mark Bourbon as the base for my cocktail. The drink was well made and quite tasty and a deal at $11 in my opinion. Aside from the burger there were an assortment of food options that I would classify as Elevated Bar food bordering on a Bistro style Menu that looked very interesting. Nice! The bar itself has a dark vibe to it to go along with the Western accents making for a nice ambiance to enjoy your drink/food. Plenty of tables running along side their massive bar and numerous TV's scattered about to allow you to watch the big game. Staff is quite friendly with good follow up throughout the meal. Overall a nice place to enjoy a well made drink and grab a bite to it. Their cornbread was so moist and had a nice flavor. The breading on the chicken was perfectly cooked and had a nice sweet flavor. We decided on the bread pudding for dessert which was easily a shareable item. So much flavor and wasn't too overly sweet with the candied pecans and sweet drizzle topping. Our party of 6 arrived about 130 pm. The outdoor seating area was open and bustling. The indoor space was less than half full and we had no wait to get a seat except that no one was at the hostess station. The bartender did greet us and another group relatively quickly but this was the only thing that was quick this visit. Without going into great detail, we were seated for about 10 minutes before a waitress came to the table. We ordered drinks and it took almost 20 minutes for them to start to arrive and 30 minutes to get all 6 drinks. It took over an hour to get food and the entire visit was almost 2 1/2 hours. Mind you this is an upscale bar not a multicourse fine dining establishment. We were told that they were understaffed due to people not showing up but from what I could see they had 2 servers and a bar tender for about 15 active tables. Our waitress, while nice, was inattentive, often leaving us with empty drinks. The food was as good as we have come to expect as were the drinks when we could get them. I will say the chicken tenders my son ordered were over cooked but still tasty. Normally, I would rate this location as 4 stars but not this trip. Again, I hope this was just an off day but service like this again will result in losing our business going forward.
