Cod and Prawn.

These are some bold words. This just might be, the best "fish and chips" place in the Bay Area and I've lived and worked all over the BayArea. Now I'm not saying the best seafood spot. The best spot, that is a "fish and chips" establishment. I've gone to many places that claim to be super fresh fish. Usually, in one way or another there is a fishy smell. But not here, not even a hint! The service is quick and friendly. You can order at the counter or grab a menu, sit down and they'll come to you. If you want to order to go, just go up to the counter and place your order. Like I said, I honestly believe this might be the best "fish and chips" in the Bay Area. You know, when you go to a place that deep fries food and once you're done, you feel like you've ever lost five years of your life or your insides are coated in oil. Not the case here. The times that I've eaten here, I didn't end up, with a greasy basket. I don't know if they're putting it through a vacuum cleaner or piece by piece, drying it off. I will tell you this you will not get greasy food! so far I've had the fish and chips and the cod, prawn and chips. Also, the fountain drinks are great. They've got the mixture down right. OK, now you know aaand go.

I didn't ever notice this place until I discovered a sourdough sandwich place next door a few weeks ago , I decided to try it. Why not it's Friday! Everything I ordered came out fresh and piping hot, even the thick wedge fries. The lady taking orders and serving people was very polite. She packed my to go order with ketchup, malt vinegar and napkins. I couldn't resist I ate some here. The crunch with every bite was beyond my imagination. Thank you Cap Cod for such a nice experience."

Didn't think much of it as I walked in. The service was good and the menu options are robust (though they were out of a few things). Ordered the Fish Tacos and the Fish and Chips. I really liked the fish tacos! Big portion (1 big taco) with a lot of fish and homemade salsa, highly recommended. The fish and chips was good but not great. Large portion (2 pieces meal) with a lot of fries. The crust was too thick for my liking but others may like that. I enjoyed the cole slaw salad a lot! For me I don't think I'll be rushing to come back as there are other fish and chips options around town I would rank higher.

First time here and i did not enjoy the food whatsoever. I ordered the 2 piece fish & chips as my dinner, and fried calamari for appetizer. The calamari was too chewy as if it wasn't fried. It wasn't bursting with flavor, it was very bland. My fish came with tater tots, and the fish pieces were very large which was nice, however it was not tasty at all. I would never come here again. I really enjoy fish & chips but this place ain't the one or the two.

Two piece fish and chips. Coleslaw was great too!

You know, some of the best food you can get is off the beaten path, tucked away in a obscure strip mall, and away from the everyday, high traffic places. Cape Cod Fish N' Chips is that kind of place. Located in a little stop plaza next to the 101 in Coati, this place is a little hidden but once you find it, be ready for some damn good fish and chips. Walk in and was greeted immediately. You place your order and pay at the counter and then have a seat. There's plenty of seating in front and around the side. The server will bring your drink and a little while later bring your meal. I ordered the two piece fish and chips and let me tell you- it was amazing. Crispy, crunch, hot and fresh. No old oil or heavy greasy batter on this flaky white fish. The wedge fries couldn't get in my mouth fast enough. Being in a strip mall, I found that there wasn't any problems parking. Next time you're in the area you have to try this place.

Overpriced. I realize in these times things are more expensive but the quality and quantity have really gone down hill.

Best fish and chips in Sonoma County. The Calamari is fresh and excellent too. They change their oil frequently, and use very fresh fish.

Ask the Community - Cape Cod Fish N' Chips

Is Cape Cod under new ownership / Mgmt? 2 meals in the last month not very good. Chowder is different, fish tastes refrozen, different batter, inept service....…

I logged in to ask the same question. The batter was different. The coleslaw was different. The oysters were very different. The new prices caught me by surprise at the register.

I had arrived earlier for my reservation and asked if I could be accommodated and be seated earlier. She had me wait a few minutes to see if my request could be met and she was able to make it happen. Once seated, I was greeted by a server who was great during my time there. As a starter, I ordered the ICEBERG WEDGE which was BIG! It was topped with bacon, tomatoes, red onions, chives, little butter croutons, and Maytag Blue Cheese dressing. It was really good. For the main, I ordered the 630 PARK SIGNATURE PRIME RIB. I explained to the server that I want the prime rib cooked medium rare. I CANNOT enjoy or eat a prime rib or steak that's cooked medium or well done. He said he'd make sure it was cooked to my liking and he sure did! It came out a perfect medium rare! It was a thick cut that could be split between 2 people. It was served with whipped potatoes which unfortunately cannot be subbed out for a baked potato. The whipped potatoes were good though. Buttery and creamy. *Nice dim lighting feels inside. Great for a date either before or after a show at the EVENT. I went to the Khelani concert so if you do have a reservation let anyone who will be attending know the time too because the Graton WiFi was not working and my cell phone service went to SOS. Horrible. Understandable for a big event (for a casino) but if I ever did that again, I'd set up a meeting time and place with anyone who is supposed to be there at the restaurant.

Our waiter (Carlos) had a smart aleck attitude that we did not appreciate the whole evening. His lack of attentiveness to his guest was appalling. First, we ordered the lobster chowder to start. We were served French Onion Soup instead. I complained to Carlos and his response was "yes, we brought you the wrong soup but the French Onion Soup is excellent" We didnt want French Onion Soup!! A bus boy corrected the order. Then Carlos disappeared and we couldn't find him so we had to ask the bus boys and other waiters to help us with anything we needed. I asked another waiter what happened to Carlos? His reply "Carlos went home". Okay, if he went home then who is our waiter? I thought, "shouldn't he tell us that he was leaving and a different waiter would be taking care of our table?" Twenty minutes later I see Carlos returning to our table I asked him "what happened, they said you went home?". He made no apology and said "i had to put out a fire because the credit card machine wasn't working". I understand that technical problems happen, but no apology and smart aleck comments are not acceptable. If he was preoccupied with the credit card machine then another waiter should have covered our needs, not lying to us in saying our waiter went home!! Finally we asked for boxes for our left overs, he hands us 3 boxes and leaves. At the table next to us, their waiter boxed the left overs and placed them in a bag for them. This is what I would expect at a high end restaurant. So I yell across the room at Carlos "Can I get a bag for our left overs?" Again Carlos's smart aleck response was "Sure I can bring 1,2 or 3" he yells across the room. In conclusion we loved the food and atmosphere of the restaurant, but one bad apple can ruin the entire experience.

The service was friendly, but everything else fell flat. One friend even had something floating in her water (we just asked for a new cup, no big deal), but the food itself was the real disappointment. We ordered a few rolls, a nigiri dinner, and a teriyaki dinner for my sushi-averse husband. All the rolls had an overly acidic flavor, almost like there was too much rice vinegar in the rice, and nothing stood out enough to make us want to return. The nigiri plate looked like a good value, but our friend agreed that it was just mediocre. Overall, the experience left a lot to be desired, and we likely wouldn't come back.

After our meal, she said she'd definitely be back. We each had a cold Japanese beer served in a perfectly chilled mug--refreshing and a great pairing with our food. I had the salmon teriyaki dinner, which came with miso soup, salad, and rice. Everything was satisfying and just right. After too many years away, it was a joy to return to Kyoto. I won't wait so long next time.

We've been a few times now, and the food has been consistently on point. Everything comes out hot and fresh, and it's clear the kitchen takes pride in what they're serving. The udon is a standout--rich, savory broth with perfectly cooked noodles that have just the right texture. The BBQ options are just as impressive--sweet and tangy with a light crisp, and generously portioned--tender, well-seasoned, and cooked exactly how you'd hope. Even the house salad is worth mentioning. The dressing is bright and well-balanced, adding a subtle sweetness without overpowering the salad. It's one of those small details that ends up standing out. The atmosphere is calm and low-key, which makes it an easy place to enjoy a meal without feeling rushed.
