I am not a huge seafood fan but Las Islas might have just changed that. With a very seafood heavy menu I was a little hesitant to order so I stuck to mixed Fajitas. My friends ordered a variety of plates to share, we received all of our food at once and feasted. I'll be honest it was a lot of food for 3 people but we took our time, took breaks and enjoyed the ambiance/music in between bites. The service was pleasant, the food was presented beautifully and tasted fresh. My favorite part of my visit was the music. It was such a vibe and the banda playing made rounds around the restaurant. I saw a few reviews that complained about the noise level of the band but I actually enjoyed the loud music. We had a lot of fun and there was a lot of families and kids also enjoying the ambiance. Overall I give Las Islas a 9/10. Side Note / Pro tip: A spicy Michelada from Islas has the potential to cure even the nastiest hangover lol

If you want authentic Mexican mariscos this is the spot for you! The vibe & taste was 10/10! The service was a bit slow even tho there weren't many customers we waited more than 40 minutes for our food. I know sometimes things come up but I would have appreciated some communication from our servers. Will be coming here again tho!

I simply cannot recommend this place enough! They recently expanded their menu, and every dish is crafted with so much flavor (and love, obvi). I've yet to try something I haven't loved. As a bonus, the girls who work here are also amazing. Everyone is great, but a special shout out to Nana, Karlita, and Jackie! A must try if you love seafood, but trust, they also have plenty of non seafood options!

I was almost turned off by the reviews I'd read, but so glad I decided to try this place! I was greeted and taken to my seat right away. My server was the nicest guy. The food was delicious, I ate way more than I should have because I just could t stop eating it. There was no band playing on the night I went, which was a Monday. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone!

I highly recommend this place. We went with our family, kids are 4 and 8, it was a great family setting. But I can see us going back for Date Night too. The service was quick, helpful and kind. The seafood tasted fresh and amazingly delicious. We tried the empanadas with shrimp, the octopus, the ceviche, oysters with little octopus (púlpitos) and the chicken nuggets for the kids to split. The portions were enough for double or more. My favorite was the octopus, it was so tender and delicious. It came with a really delicious spicy sauce. If you like things medium spicy or less, I recommend asking for the sauce on the side instead of on your octopus. The empanadas were really yummy too, they came with two yummy dips. All the avocado they added to the dishes tasted very fresh. The kids chicken nuggets were elevated too, the fries were fresh like they cut the wedges themselves and added some sort of yummy batter, battered fries. They recommended the fish cut in half and grilled, can't remember its name. I'm going back with my appetite to get that octopus again and to try that fish. I was told they have karaoke on Saturday nights and Banda music on Sundays. Looking for fresh seafood with a fun comfortable atmosphere? Please try Las islas Marías Restaurant in Rohnert Park. (Located in the old iHop building)

The place was empty beside us but it was nice and quiet. They have a really nice selection of beers on tap and a good variety of food choices. They have tv's playing sports and it feels like a place where you could hang out for hours. On this visit, I tried the "Dream of Jupiter" red ale. It wasn't my favorite. A little too hoppy for my taste, but still a good drink to have with food. For food, we ordered the BBQ Nachos with Tri-tip , and some wings. The wings were pretty good with a sweet chili ginger sauce. We also tried their dry-rubbed wings, which were just okay. The nachos had good flavor, but some of the chips got kind of burnt in the broiler. The tri-tip was also a little underwhelming as it was just a bunch of small pieces that didn't have a lot of flavor. Overall, I still liked the flavor of the nachos, but I would get a side of sour cream or something else to go with it. I still really like this place and hope to come back again.

I was happy to stop in on a quiet afternoon, looks like a fun place on nights and weekends. They have some outdoor seating, which was a bit bright in the afternoon so I sat inside. They have a mostly local tap list of all kinds of beer; there were too many to try so I got two flights while I rested a while. The glassware is super clean, great selection, and reasonable prices. The bartenders were also welcoming. It's worth a stop!

Will definitely be back. update: 3 months later. Came for trivia night. Had the "last word" drink which was okay. I also had the "tears of the kingdom" which was tasty. I'd have that one again. Also love that they were showing a movie. Like so cool. I was invested.

Unfortunately while passerby's visiting Napa would call this a cool/eclectic establishment due to…read moreits vinyl records and seemingly diverse music palate, myself and about 100+ people who attended a birthday party here in February experienced one of the worst handling of "large" crowds I've seen in my 20+ year History of the Bay Area music scene. As soon as we approached the venue, there was a long line of people waiting to get inside. We arrived a bit later (around 8pm), and the crowd had already started to fill the venue. Mind you, it's a decent sized venue but not a massive space -- enough to accommodate at minimum 100 and likely max of 200 while still staying within code. There were several people coming in and out of the door, where the GM and bouncer for the night , appeared extremely stressed due to the amount of people in line and inside. A woman, who happened to be the wife of the DJ, stepped out to make a phone call and when she attempted to get back inside, proceeded to get yelled at by the bouncer saying she needed to go to the back of the line and wait like everyone else. The woman attempted to tell the bouncer her husband, who was the guest DJ for the night and is a historical, world renowned DJ (again using big names to draw crowds, and appropriating vinyl culture, but not respecting the very people in attendance), needed to tell him she'd be outside and would sit in the car. The GM started to yell and disrespect the DJs wife, and she ended up staying outside. Apparently this GM and venue are not used to larger crowds, and she essentially cracked under pressure. She went on to tell us the capacity was 67, and that they "were already at 200", which is a lie because there was a ton of space between people inside the venue (we have photos to prove it). She kept yelling and pushing people back. Girlfriend, this was not a Vegas club night. This crowd is 40+ (age) crowd, so it's not like people were out of control and acting debaucherous -- everyone was respecting the rules. If you couldn't handle the crowd, which btw you agreed prior to the 80-100 people expected for the party, then why was it such a hassle for your venue to handle the capacity. You knew a larger crowd was expected that night, it's your responsibility as a business owner to adequately staff the bar, door, etc. Yes; we needed to respect the door and the rules -- and everyone did. I won't get into further detail, but a physical altercation took place after the woman tried to return a second time (to again get her husband and tell him what was going on given she was being harassed at the door), putting hands on her in the process. Just completely out of line. Overall, this venue wants to appropriate the music and DJ culture, yet when the actual music and DJ community show up, there is no respect. Let alone for loyal patrons who have frequented your business and brought tons of revenue to the bar that night (which btw was extremely slow). Don't fall for the dog and pony show here. Go somewhere else that touts respects for their patrons, and for all walks of life -- not just the pretentious kind.
