This was all about the customer service. We had an issue on the install as my 2018 Toyota Tacoma long bed in the front of the bed as manufactured by Toyota is a plastic cap rail on the top, which no matter how proper the placement of the topper, it would still leak like a sieve. This was a head scratcher for a moment, and we finally decided on butyl rubber under this as a bedding compound and with the screwed it in place which subsequently made the topper totally leak proof. . I use this for camping often and needed it in a hurry for bow hunting this season and Canopy West was nothing but accommodating. There was a one week delay in the shipment of the topper and this was a little frustrating but canopy West more than made up for it by accommodating me after its arrival. I believe credit is due, where credit is due and I have no problem saying that these guys will ensure you walk out happy with your product and experience. read more

The previous manager, jesse, was knolagble and friendly, but the new management us rude and all they care about is getting paid. I had dropped a canopy off for consignment and they sold it and kept all the money. This happens all the time. Then they said they sold it for Penny's and paid me 500 bucks. I contacted Canopy West to get a new canopy for my 2008 Ford Ranger in 2025. My aluminum canopy was tired and leaking. I upgraded for a fiberglass canopy. It fit well and looked very nice. The crew there were friendly and did good work. When I took it home, the next day I noticed there was some water in the bed. I contacted them and they said to bring it up and they would fix it. They put a thicker seal under it which did the job. They back up their work and easy to deal with. I highly recommend these guys. read more

When they put on my truck canopy they drilled several holes through the bed of the truck to close together. Several holes they never used. I also purchased a Yakima rack for the top of the canopy. When I went to remove it, I didn't have the right keys. I had to get a locksmith to remove one, so I could order new locks and keys from Yakima. And now someone else has a key to my canopy. I went in 7 weeks ago and put an order in for a new lock. Returned 3 weeks ago and they hadn't submitted the order, no paperwork found. Reordered and waited 2 weeks. Yesterday, they couldn't find my paperwork again. Stacks of orders all over the shop and not organized. "F" rating. read more

Spoke with Thomas, at the Everett Washington Store, a couple of days before New Years. He was working from home due to very bad weather. He told me to see him early in the following week (1/3/2022). Went to the store and he got me set up with the canopy we discussed, at the price quoted. I told them I was under a time crunch and the installers got me right in and out in about 45 minutes. First negative review I've ever wrote. Worst company i've done business with in 20+ years. -Took over 4 months to replace back canopy glass on my truck. Still isn't done correctly. Brang it to bring it to another canopy shop to make adjustments. -After 4 months and numerous calls I finally raised hell explaining there was no excuse for this type of service. Turns out the glass had finally arrived that day. lol!! My experience happened a while ago but I'm getting ready for my camping season and I have mildew in my back due to water leaks. Still frusterated after all this time! I could go on but if you do business with them, keep your receipts and be cautious of giving money upfront. read more

Really nice guys and great service at Canopy West. The old lock on my canopy fell apart this spring and I took it to Canopy West to be replaced (I didn't buy the canopy there). They swapped it out quickly and for less than $40, a pretty square deal in my mind. For some reason, apparently dirt and grime in the lock, it stopped locking this week. I drove by Canopy West and they quickly took it apart, cleaned it out, put it back together, and sent me on my way in ten minutes at no charge. I was originally quoted 9 weeks to get my canopy(I understood that Covid is delaying everything). It ended up taking 7, almost 8 months to get my canopy(again, I understand Covid delays). My issue Is that they never once called nor emailed me to update me on any of the delays. I called on Tuesday October 5th to find out that it was delivered on the 4th, again no notification from them. They process to install the canopy the following Saturday. They asked me if they could modify my trluck to make the canopy fit or I would have to wait another 2-3 weeks for a part. I gave them the "ok" to modify my truck as long as it doesn't damage the truck. I got my truck back with a noticeable scratch on the tailgate from an angle grinder. When I brought it back to show them, they said I need to send pictures to their boss. I have yet to even receive a response let alone a resolution to the problem. First stop in shopping for a new canopy. One person on duty, pretty much ignored us while fiddling with a repair on a canopy. No "I'll be with you in a minute." No "Is there something I can help you with?" No nothing. I went into sales office to see if there was a brochure to look at. Messy and no clear indication of canopies on offer. Called to get a topper keyed. No call back, called to check in they said to come in. Drove 2 hrs for them to tell me I needed new lock cylinders(witch I could have ordered from home). When I mentioned these things to them they started screaming at me to leave the property or they would call the police. I apologized and gladly left. Burned a half day labor when it could have been a 15 min phone call... Do yourself a favor and call are direct so you don't have to go there. Better yet call your local lock smith. read more
