We agreed on a price for a wing install on my BRZ. I provided a photo showing the expectation…read morehaving 4 mounted struts to prevent twisting. He installed only two. I trusted his judgement and received the car back. The wing twists and sways in 40mph winds violently enough for people to change lanes behind me. I contacted him to have it fixed and he said he said he could do it but it would cost me. I stated that this is dangerous and while I can understand the original quote for the job was extremely fair it's not my fault that the job was done unsafely and halfway however he has since blocked me from facebook (where we mostly comminicated). It's a shame because other work he did for me ended very well (aside from always being far from the ETA and almost never me giving me progress updates despite my polite requests) and I always vouched for him. But to block me for asking for some sort of mediation with an install this blatantly dangerous is a shame.

Thank you. Update: Just picked-up my trailer and what a fantastic job they did. The care that everyone put int my project is as I felt it was there own trailer. I feel I have several new friends who work at LineX. Thank you again.

(1 Star) I brought my truck bed to Line-X of Kirkland for…read moreundercoating after it had been professionally sandblasted. The job was very straightforward. All that was needed was to clean off the remaining blasting media, vacuum up any loose sand, and apply a thorough undercoating. Before the work was done, I specifically asked them to make sure the underside was completely coated because I have invested a tremendous amount of time, effort, and money into restoring this truck. I chose to hire a professional rather than do it myself because I expected a higher-quality result. When I picked up the truck, I was told they had done an extra-good job, applied several coats, and were not charging me extra for the additional work. Unfortunately, after getting the truck home and inspecting it closely, I found multiple areas--at least eight easily accessible spots--that had no undercoating on them at all. These were not hidden or difficult-to-reach areas. Bare metal was left exposed, which defeats the entire purpose of protecting the truck from rust. In addition, the coating that was applied appeared very thin and inconsistent, despite being told that multiple coats had been used. This was a critical step in my restoration project, and I trusted Line-X to do the job properly. The final result did not meet even basic expectations for coverage and protection. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the work and the lack of attention to detail. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Line-X of Kirkland.

Please thoughtfully consider this post. My intention here is to help keep someone else from making…read morethe same terrible mistake I did. It's unfortunate a zero star option isn't available. I had the misfortune to have moslander's rod & custom inc., work on two of my vehicles at the same time: 1990 300xz-tt and 1954 GMC Cab-Over-Engine (COE). Post-work, I was left with the following: ~ 1990 300xz-tt: Apprx Out of Pocket Cost: 15k Received: paint that sagged on one side and paint bubbling up on the other. When the body was reassembled, about half of the lights no longer functioned; the front fascia (grille & bumper cover) was improperly mounted; the front fascia splash guard shield engine cover, was missing. I pointed out all of the imperfections and requested the work be done correctly and got nowhere. ~ 1954 GMC COE Apprx Out of Pocket Cost: 50k Received: a basket case: a cab, two fenders, two doors, hood, radiator support, front bumper and and lots of missing parts. Pro: sheet metal work was well done but the tech has moved on. Ultimately, we as owners are responsible for our cars & trucks. At the time I was working 7 days a week 16-18 hours a day and was trusting the work was actually being completed and done so, correctly. One day at work, it suddenly dawned on me, how much money I had invested. I stopped right there to add up the numbers and was shocked. It's never fun to admit when you been taken but in this case, it's my fault. I was wrapped up in work and lost track of time and dollars. Most of us work very hard to save for restorations. Good restoration shops are out there but rare. Do your homework and research, I would suggest starting with yelp, google review and the better business bureau claims [ bbb.org ] as well as friends, family and local car clubs. It's embarrassing to admit when you have had such an experience and it very likely if you hear of a similar experience with other shops, there are others who had a similar experience. BUYER BEWARE!
