I took my 1940 pickup to this company. We agreed on 15k to do the interior. I was clear that this is all I could afford. In return the owner left my truck sit outside in a covered area for a year with the original 1940 license plate. A year later I had to beg to get the truck back and was given a 23k bill. This was supposed to be a friend deal. Nice friend and the gear shifter now hits the bench seat so first gear won't work because the stick is on the floor. I paid the bill, but, if you have a nice car just know it may be left outside for a period of time. I wish I could Recommend since it's hard finding a good interior company. No problem with tint job. Looks good. Only problem we had was a fuse was blown when trying to jumpstart the car when the battery died Being a hybrid car. The fuse was not readily available locally it had to be shipped in overnight. They were able to receive fuse next day, install it and made sure everything was working. We don't know exactly why the battery died, but they did make good on fixing it while it was in their possession. Other than the fuse and battery problem, they did do a good job on installation of tint. read more

My Lexus is 13 years old, and the butt portion of my leather seats were splitting open. I found the bottom portion only of the seats on eBay and took the material to Hoglunds to have them installed. I also purchased fabric seat covers from Amazon to put over the newer seats to protect them. Hoglund's did a fantastic job, and my car interior looks brand new. Over time, I needed to take the fabric seat covers off to have them washed. Since they had been tucked in professionally, I couldn't get them off without special tools. I went back to Hoglunds, and they took them off free of charge. Would give zero stars if I could. Was told I had to come here to get some glass on my car fixed. I got my car back and within a day noticed that my windshield was cracked in the exact spot where the new piece of glass meets the windshield. When I brought up the issue they refused to acknowledge that they had caused the new crack. And even worse, refused to do anything to fix the problem. I had to file a new claim with my insurance and pay out of pocket for their mistake. These people are scummy and not to be trusted. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I was here today getting my 2013 Elantra windows tinted and I must say the service was great they were very accommodating and pleasant to work with very happy with my window job so far there is some curing that still needs to happen on the back windows I will report back on how that is. TLDR: Don't go to Hoglund's - Rude & Unknowledgeable Staff with Careless Techs. Hoglund's was recommended to me to tint the front windows of my Toyota Tacoma. I called and ask if they can tint the front windows to match the tint of the privacy glass of the back windows from the factory. They say yes and give me a price. I go in for my appointment, and on the invoice they put "match the front windows to the rear windows". After they're done I look at it, and notice that the front windows are much darker and a different color to the back windows. I go in to tell the sales rep and they say that's as close as they can get. He doesn't even want to go look at my truck or anything, just that's all they can do. So the next day, it still looks bad to me so I take it to two other tint shops who immediately see it's the wrong tint. One shop eyeballs it and one takes a meter to it to confirm, but yes the tint on the front windows is much darker. I call Hoglund's who says they can see it later next week (not in a rush to fix the situation) and take a measurement. I go in at my appointment, they put a meter on it and see that the factory tint is 25%, they put on 15%. They say that I can pick 20% or 30% because they don't have 25% to match the rear windows, and they usually just put on 20% (which is illegal, if anyone cares). So I pick 30% so that it's legal, doesn't look great, but I just need to move on. So they couldn't match the windows like they said they could, they didn't apologize or anything, and have no quality control over the work that they're putting out. I wish they would've just given me a refund so I could have gone to a real tint shop. Additionally, at both of my appointments I was told I could speak to their AV guy, first appointment after waiting 30 minutes they told me he wasn't there, second appointment I just didn't even bother to remind them. read more

Really impressed with this place. A few years ago I decided to get my mother remote start on her car for Christmas. I set up an appointment for a Saturday at Cartoys. A few hours after dropping it off it was "done." Cartoys couldn't get the car to start at all. They called a locksmith, had it towed to the dealership to fix. According to the dealer they didn't know what they were doing and it was about $800 to fix. They covered it after a lot of headaches. 1 day later, the ECU was toast. Coincidence maybe but I don't think so. Another $2,500 to fix, thankfully I had an extended warranty on the car. After all that, I ended up right back where I started, no remote start for my moms car. While at the dealer getting the car fixed the service tech said "if you want a remote start, next time go to Hoglunds. They won't be as cheap as Cartoys but they will get it done right." So after the sting of the Cartoys situation, 2 plus years later, I decided to try again. They were not as cheap, the wait was a few weeks out and they are not open on weekends but it was worth it. They installed the remote start, there are not pry marks on the trim, the car was taken care of and put in their secure lot AND the car runs when I picked it up! Good quality work, done on time and done right. Pay a little more for quality workmanship here and as a bonus you'll get people who know what they are doing. read more

I wanted to send a huge thank you to Dave, the owner of Hoglunds, for taking this entire negative experience and making it right. Dave reached out to me after seeing my negative about what had happened with my rear window and immediately dove into the situation and emphasizing that he would take care of it. I would like to say that the employees who I had previously worked with and mentioned are not a reflection of Dave or Hoglund's true colors. Several days after our initial conversation he called me again and said he found all the paper and was truly sorry about the entire situation. Instead of offering me any compensation he specifically asked "what would you like me to do to make it right?". At that moment when he had asked me that, all the anger and frustration literally melted away as I realized I was talking to someone who truly understood my concern and it affirmed he heard everything that I had said. After discussing several options, I advised Dave what I had wanted as a fair resolution and he said "I will take care of you and don't worry about anything". Ryan called me and discussed options and followed up as courtesy to ensure that I would be happy. Fast forward several weeks to 3/22/2018 when I had dropped my truck off and picked it up this morning (3/23/2018). He kept his word and I am delighted with the entire process. I had the opportunity to meet Dave this morning and he went over everything they had done including the installation. He even threw in an extra incentive for me and told me again it was the least he could to help make things right. To even have to run into a situation like this is very sad but as I stated earlier, these past employees are not a reflection of Dave or his hardworking crew that he currently has. There is a reason why Hoglunds has been in business this long and he has earned my lifetime respect and future business. I had an appointment for installation of a remote start on a Monday. I left my van and in the afternoon, they said the tech come in late. They ask if I can leave the van and they can finish it the next day. II agree and I have to be off the next day, since I need it to going to work. At noon they called and said they new tech cant install it. I wasted two days for them. When I pick up the van they offered me a $100 discount for my next schedule and said they will call me within the week, they never call me that week. The reason for giving a 1 start is for offering me the $100 discount but I will not go back knowing new tech will do your car without the supervision of a qualified tech. Let me just say the work was great. I got all my windows tinted in my 2015 Ford Fusion. It's been a week and no peeling or bubbles seen. However, the customer service is less than great. I had an expectation that the work would get done a lot earlier than it did. I dropped my car off at 8am and after calling three times it was finally done at 3:30. I had to arrange for a pick up for my daughter to come home from school. They said it would be done in a few hours. Well, a few hours turned into 8. With that being said, the end product is acceptable. The cost was also about $100 more than I expected. I just wish someone had told me ahead of time to plan on a full day without my car. read more

Purchased a groupon for the full vehicle tint. I drive a compact hatchback car. Small windows, nothing out of the ordinary. Once they found out it was a Lexus, they tried to charge me an additional $75 for the "luxury upgrade." Looked on the Groupon page, it said "upgrades AVAILABLE." They told me the charge applies to all Audi's, VW, Lexus... so basically they penalize you if you have a nice car. Canceled my appointment and asked for a refund from Groupon. read more
