Stephen and his crew are real ones. They took on the task of: 1) removing all the old PPF that a prior shop had basically superglued onto the body and 2) replacing it with a full-body STEK matte PPF wrap, along with a few accent pieces of carbon PPF. This was a challenging job, no doubt, but one that any PPF shop worth their salt could get done. So why was I so impressed by Blue Star? 1. THEY'RE GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO. When I picked up my car, it was like seeing it for the first time again. It looked THAT good. All the edges were tucked in nicely, and the only way to know it had been wrapped at all, would be to intentionally stare into the cracks and crevices where the edges were hidden. Otherwise, you'd think it was OEM! 2. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT. In fact, you could probably get Stephen to talk about all the different films on offer, their construction, their properties, pros and cons, etc, for hours. He's honest, and will tell you why things are done a certain way, what he can and can't do (not because of limitations in skill, but rather that which is inherent to the material) and what will or will not look good. 3. STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. Upon taking the car back for a hand wash and inspection 2 weeks after the installation (which comes standard and free-of-charge with their full-body wraps), they discovered there was a mark on the film on the hood that could not be removed with washing. They were upfront about what they saw and, without any fuss, replaced it under warranty! 4. REASONABLY PRICED. I shopped nearly a dozen other places in the greater Seattle area before I ultimately landed here. A number of them asked for upwards of 50% MORE than what I ended up paying. It's hard for me to imagine how they could have done a better job, let alone justify that premium. So yeah, rest assured knowing you're getting a solid deal. 5. THEY DO IT ALL. Their garage is always filled with the whole gamut of cars, from Priuses and Teslas, to Porsches and classic Jags. It doesn't matter if you want a flashy wrap for your luxury barge or if you just want to keep scratches off your daily, they can get it done. With all that in mind, I have complete confidence in them to work on my car again and again, and I look forward to seeing what they can do to make my next car even more exciting. read more

Super happy working with Stephen and his guys (didn't catch all their names) at Blue Star Auto Salon. Fast communication and getting me on the books. My rig was in the shop within a two days. I did the 5-year ceramic plus PPF over the entire front of the vehicle plus wheels and rocker panels. Excellent work. The PPF is invisible, no line across the hood like I've see on other cars in the past, but instead it covered the entire hood and wraps around to the under side. Excellent work. Update after owner's response: My main concern was actually that Stephen lied so many times and he always put himself first before the customer. He even has the guts to call me a bully here when he was the bully first. They were to replace the tint on the driver side window and install a new tint on the windshield but they installed the wrong tint only on the windshield. His excuse for that is that they installed the windshield before knowing it's another tint on the driver side. He said that to me even without a blink in the eyes and he tried to force me to take it. Later I found out that the excuse was in fact a complete lie. At 11:29am, Stephen was standing next to the car and was talking on the phone with the shop that referred me here for warranty work about the tint on the driver side window. At 11:52am, the windshield tint film actually touched the windshield for the first time. He used this excuse for a lot of time on that day and also later when I called to ask for a refund. He continued to use it because he believes that I have no clue what was going on there. I did not tell him about the proof I have about his lies so he continued to bully me with that. Regarding the "wrong information", I expressed two times BEFORE scheduling the appointment that I did not know the tint percentage number but I wanted the SAME tint that was already on the other windows. First in email, second time on the phone. However Stephen gave ZERO effort in finding out that and as you can read in his response, he thinks that it is 100% the responsibility of the customer to figure it out. His reasoning here is solely on the invoice and he completely disregarded the email and phone call we had. Regarding the "refund policy", I offered to go to another place to remove the film and return it but Stephen did not agree and his reasoning is that they can't verify if that is the original film they installed. I argued that how do they verify if the film that is already on my car IS the original film they installed and his answer was that he can trust me. But he thinks I would go to find a scrap film and scam him. That does not make any sense. They won't be able to re-use the film if I brought the car back to remove. And it will simply create more work for them. I don't see any reason to be so strict about this "refund policy" while other aspects of their business are so "flexible" - dirty lobby, empty catalogs, toddler running around. And I already had the film removed by the shop that referred me here. That shop did nothing wrong but they took care of me anyway. Bottom line: You are lucky if things go well for you. But if things get wrong, Stephen is going to force you to accept it. read more

I had Blue Star ceramic coat my new 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. The color is black. They did an outstanding job for a reasonable price. They had me bring it back in a few weeks for a free hand wash and to check the coating to make sure everything was ok. I asked them if they could do a touch up to the paint due to a small rock chip. They ordered the touch up pen from Mopar and did the fix after they washed it. It looks great and the ended up not even charging me for the touch up paint. I don't give many 5 star reviews but when I do it is always because I would go back and send my friends and family. I saw their deal on some local deal sites and decided to do some more investigation. They had stellar reviews with only 2 months of being open so I was initially a bit cautious. After talking to one of the owners I was convinced that they would be able to remove the pet dander from the car as the previous owner did their best to hide the dog hair but could not hide the dander. I decided to go with the special package as well as adding a clay bar and hand wax service since it looked like it never had one before. She said that they would definitely be able to do it and went above and beyond the package that I paid for to ensure that I didn't have another sneezing fit every time I got into the car. When I came to pick the car up I noticed a few missed spots but I didn't want to make a huge deal out of it. I never had the chance because they took the car back in and cleaned it a second time! Such a attention to detail and when I got it back an hour later it looked better than new and smelled super clean since they use steam on everything. Apparently they are one of 2 detail shops in Washington that have this capability and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else after seeing how well the steam works. For my troubles they upgraded my wax to paint sealant and even stored some of the personal items I missed in a nice reusable shopping bag. Still surprises me that a 2003 could look so nice. Suffice it to say I will be a regular here and will be referring my friends and family to this wonderful shop. read more

This crew did a perfect job with my Chevy!

We have been bringing our car here for the last 4 years, since we tried them with a Groupon and back when they were in Shoreline. We have always had a great experience and given a good tip to show our appreciation- until today. No one called to let us know they were running very behind. When I called to check on pick up, then they told me it was delayed and would not be ready by closing time. We had childcare issues because the detail was supposed to be 3 hours and instead took over 8 hours. They didn't call by 5 pm so I had to call again for a status update. Not what I expected communication wise. When my husband picked it up, the car looked pretty good but they continued to make excuses for getting "caught up with a big, expensive project" and therefore getting very delayed. We expected more from customer service, like a discount or something. All we got were excuses. Unfortunately, we will not be returning here. read more

I highly recommended this place. I just had their Express Package for my car, my car is shining in the sun!! The interior is also very clean. I regret I didn't take any picture of my car before the wash, there are dirts and dusts in the trims and under the seats, they are all gone after wash. They really did a very detail job. I'm very satisfied with their job, definitely worth the value. The owner, Nesi and Stevens are very very nice. They are very responsive in emails. I took my car for interior detailing, I didn't mind paying $397.44. But when I picked up my car, right in the parking lot, my car could not start. I asked them what happened, and they told me it happens sometimes when they do car detailing be cause the doors are left opened. I said okay, they jumped started my car and I went home. Ever since that day my experience with them got bad. I could not just go into my car and start my car and drive off, my car will not start without a jump start and I ended up having to replace my battery because it was completely dead. I got late for work every day and after work my coworkers had to jump start my car. Not to mention, the person who detailed my car must have done something to the roof because we noticed giant bubbles on the interior of the car roof. The cloth was sagging on all four sides of the car. My husband and kids noticed it the first day they got into the car after the detailing was done. Everyone who came into my car noticed the dramatic change and sagging of the cloth on the roof. I called blue star auto salon, the owner was really rude to me. I was frustrated, because of the inconvenience and my family constantly reminding me of how much money I paid for my car to be ruined. When I told the owner of my car situation, he started yelling at me, and told me that I had an old battery, and that my car ignition was not working. I tried to tell him that my battery was fairly new from Costco and that my car roof was perfect before I took my car to him and that my car was starting fine before his detailing. He said that I am trying to have him fix my car and that he is not responsible for nothing that is going on with my car and that the bubbles on my car was because it's an old car. So I took my car to the Honda dealership after work, to check my car ignition and battery to tell me what is going on. They checked the battery, it was very low but it was still fairly new. They said nothing is wrong with the ignition. They jump started my car for me so I can go to Costco where I originally bought my battery. While at Costco, my battery was totally drained. They even tried to jump start my car but the car won't start, so they replaced my battery for free because it was still under warranty . I have all the receipts too. So my point is, I am not trying to get anything from him, but for him to understand that something went wrong with my car and that I am not a happy customer. Everything he said was wrong with my car was not true. Yes it is an older car, but that doesn't mean the top of my car should instantly get huge bubbles after detailing. He was rude to me and was yelling at me on the phone. told him that I will give my honest review on yelp because of his poor customer service and attitude towards me on the phone was rude, judgmental and condescending and I just want people to know how he treats and talks to his customers after he collects their money for detailing. He said I should post my remand that he will say it's a lie. I told him that I will provide proof to anyone who wants to see it. If anyone needs the pictures of the damage that was done to my car and the receipt from Honda dealership and Costco, please let me know, because I am happy to prove that I am saying the truth. read more

Took our Truck to get detailed that was used and the interior had not been taken care of had a very bad dog odor and the back seats were in very bad shape. Stephen the owner personally met with us and said he was going to work very hard to bring them back to life. Edit: Blue Star called me and after talking with them we were able to realize where there was miscommunication. They have offered to fix the stains on my seats for me free of charge. I appreciate the business reaching out and trying to make my experience better. I came here to get my car detailed just to freshen it up. I got the express plus package. I have a 2014 Honda Civic that I maintain pretty well. First, I was a little upset about the pricing. They charged me $30 to remove dog hair in my backseat that I normally remove myself for about $3 at brown bear car wash and they didn't even get it all. Second, they mentioned the stains on my seats during the walk through as something to address and all the stains were still there when I picked up my car. They did a good job in removing the tree sap on the outside of my car and waxing it. However on the interior I was very disappointed. I could have done an equally good of a job for a lot less money. I was abroad for some months and despite the car being left outdoors and me not having driven more than 10 miles since then, the car looks fantastic! Both the interior and the exterior! I'm extremely grateful for the additional services Blue Star recommended 8 months ago, which included a wax job and an engine clean, as I'm back in town and almost ready to put the car up for sale. Looking back on my old review, I see that I was quite harsh, possibly due to a very high stress situation I was in at the time (finishing a thesis, moving out of an apartment and preparing for a long trip abroad, all within a few weeks). While I do recall feeling a bit sidelined I recognize that I could spoken up more in-person and that I did not appreciate the work done on the car enough. For $150, it was crazy excellent work and I can't believe the car looks as good it does so many months later. Unfortunately, I could not sell the car before leaving the country and the musty smell is still an issue. I would love to come back in for another try at getting the smell out. They did an excellent job on my 2014 Mazda 3. I bought the $99 deal on Amazon Local for a deluxe interior and exterior detail. The interior portion involves vacuuming and wiping down the dash and cup holders, while the exterior involves a hand wash, clay bar treatment (supposed to decontaminate the paint for a smoother finish), and a paint sealant. I appreciated the fact that they cleaned every nook and cranny without missing a spot. My car now looks super shiny and sleek, just like it did a year ago when I bought it! I met Stephen, who was the owner and he was very friendly and made sure that my car was taken care of. This, I like. Had my car detailed the other day. Staffs were really friendly, and they actually did their work properly. I really liked the product that they put on my car's upholstery, it reminded me of the smell of a hospital I used to go to when I was a kid.
