For the vehicle safety inspection, I didn't have to make an appointment.  It was fine to do a walk-in. When I visited Emily's Garage, there was a customer who was pretty upset with the repairs and the cost.  I was able to hear what the customer had to go through but I would not comment on that as I have limited information. From my experience of getting my vehicle inspected, I was very surprised at how quickly they were able to complete the vehicle inspection.  It was done in less than 2 minutes, and I paid over $50 for that service.   For comparison, when I had my vehicle inspected at Les Schwab Tire Centers in Portland, they spent over 20 minutes to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and the cost for the inspection was only $20.   Will I re-visit Emily's Garage for the vehicle inspection?  Probably not but if the state requires me to get the vehicle inspection done, I will probably have no choice as there are not that many shops that offer the ASE-certified inspection.

Kept driving as usual until I started to hear loud noises from the bottom whenever the car hit the smallest of bump. I was so sure that something serious was loosen there. It was pretty scary. I was finding a place to stop and check and ran into this shop. I went in and asked if the staff can take a look. The owner said for sure and 10 minutes later, he showed me what had been stuck underneath my car - a hammer head! He refused to charge me anything. I'm so grateful to God and this shop. Amazing amazing people. Thank you

Safety Auto Repair Everett…read more Stay away from this place! Absolutely Terrible Experience! This shop is a complete scam, overpriced, unprofessional, dishonest, and shady. Save yourself the stress. Avoid at all costs. They did a terrible job on my car and when I called them out on that they became very rude and argumentative and blamed everything on the fact that they installed a used part (a brand new part was never offered to us) The owner and employees are very sketchy (now I understand why they prefer to get paid in cash.) Every single time that you call or walk in asking for Mohammad (shop owner) he's unavailable. During my last visit and while trying to get my car fixed after the poor job they did I was so frustrated that I openly expressed my dissatisfaction in front of other customers, the front desk employee got upset because of this and refused to take the keys and told me to take my car home and expect a call from Mohammad the shop owner. Mohammad in fact called me but just to yell at me demanding an apology and threatening me. Just go somewhere else or you will regret it.

The last 4 times I went there I waited in the lobby for so many hours. If I had known it would be that long I would have went home. The last time was 5 and a half hours in the lobby! I tried to go home at hour 3 and was asked to stay (telling me it would be soon.) The prices have really gone up. He wouldn't charge me to look at it so I thought I was getting a good deal but with the high pricing it made up for it. Several hundred dollars cheaper at other places when I called around. I got an oil change here and I made an appointment for it. I waited 3 and a half hours in the lobby and it cost a little over 100$. I mentioned I was feeling the transmission slipping and was told they would take a look at it. At checkout they said nothing, I asked them about it and another 20 minutes later they came back and said it was fine maybe I could get a tune up soon. I brought it in again a few weeks later still with the transmission slipping. They said they found a sensor out and a few other things. I paid a little over 1000$ two separate times within 3 months. Each time I asked is it worth it, to fix it? What about the transmission? I got round about answers and was told fixing it was a good option. Now after putting almost 4000$ into it within a year my transmission needs to be replaced and I can't afford to fix it or get another vehicle! I don't have words for how I feel about that. I really trusted Adrian and so I trusted his crew and I feel like they really let me down and put me in a bad spot. I'm a single mom and I needed the honesty and care I had gotten from Adrian at the beginning but I guess things change.

I'm getting ready to replace my battery, and I do a lot of car camping, so I'm buying a high-performance deep cycle battery. When I explained the specific battery I wanted for my vehicle, the interaction quickly made it clear that he was not particularly knowledgeable about high-performance car batteries and was not interested in helping a customer obtain the part they had already selected. Rather than discussing the request or looking into the battery I mentioned, he dismissed it outright and pivoted to pushing the batteries he prefers to sell. There was no attempt to understand the customer's objective or work toward a solution. If you are looking for a shop that is collaborative, well-informed about current battery options, or willing to accommodate reasonable customer requests, take your work elsewhere. I'm actually glad I had this experience, because I probably wouldn't have come to Yelp and seen that he's got TEN one star reviews. I'm now fully informed about this place, and I'll never bring my car here.

After 15 mins, he came back and quoted me around $1500. I was shocked and told him no I don't want to do that. He said I still had to pay $265 for the diagnostic. A cost and service he did not tell me about. When I told him why he didn't tell me the cost, he said I should've known and I should've signed his contract. But he did not tell me about any contract. He did not ask me to sign anything and started working on my car without disclosing his policies or any cost. I still offered to pay him $100 since he did do a "diagnostic" but instead, he kept fighting me. He is extremely disrespectful and hides his costs so he can force you to pay. I will be reporting to him to the business bureau and will pursue a claim.
