Update: I don't need to call customer care. There's nothing you can do for me. You already lost our business. You know the issues you have - just look at all the 1 star reviews. We called them in advance because we wanted to view a particular model. They told us they had one on the lot and that we could come and see it tonight. We drove out from Pasadena in traffic. The salesman walked us onto the lot and suddenly we were told that the model we wanted to see had been sold 3 days prior. I strongly encourage everyone to read this before thinking about shopping here. Last weekend, My fiancé and I entered this camping world hoping to look into a trailer to purchase. The salesman here ( For courtesy to them I will not use a name) seemed very nice and helpful at first. We found one we really liked and wanted to spend the week talking it over. I messaged the salesman this morning asking for a vin number to get an insurance quote, here's where things started going downhill. Instead of giving me the vin he called and said it's going to take too long to get the vin and I need to put down a deposit asap. I wanted a quote on insurance and the rest of the week to talk it over with my fiancé. Things started getting heated over the phone when he was trying to explain to me why I need to make a deposit first and worry about insurance after because it was going to sell quick. I once again assured him I wanted the vin and to think it over first before putting in a deposit, my fiancé and I both agreed we're in no huge rush and even if someone else bought this trailer, we would keep contact with this salesman to purchase one in the future. This salesman seemed very at frustrated at this point saying we just need to "Look at something cheaper, something smaller, with not a lot of space and not as nice" in an extremely rude tone. I responded with "okay maybe". The salesman then aggressively hung up. And sent me a sarcastic text and also saying "You are too much to coach" . I called my fiancé and told her and she was so upset. We wanted this trailer bad but they immediately lost our business with the rude and unprofessional actions. We're very reasonable people, who eventually would have been a customer of camping world if not now in the future but they have lost our business. Please respect your customers. read more

Carrey helped us looked at trailers and feel comfortable even if we weren't ready took time and was realistic. Antonio who wasn't even our sales associate at the time noticed my autistic son was getting impatient he spent sometime with him and gave him money for their candy dispenser. I had messaged this location after seeing an RV online to replace our trailer. My husband has late stage cancer & can no longer hook-up & tow our 2 year old trailer. I was looking for a motorhome that I felt comfortable driving & wanted to get him back to camping at the beach. I have to say that I feel that I was treated fairly by everyone involved in my purchase. From Otis, our salesman, Nick the finance manager, Chris the general manager & Julie who handled all the paperwork at the end. I wish the walk-thru on the day we picked up the RV had been more thorough but luckily, my daughter is very mechanically inclined & not only understood everything the young man was telling us but she even went up & inspected the roof! In all fairness, I did my due diligence & researched as much as I could before finalizing my purchase - this is not the kind of transaction I am used to handling on my own. Once again, Camping World comes up short. Not by just a little, but a little turns into BIG in no time. It seems they are more interested in interest. They are now selling new RVs, and their customers are being shunted if you only want a part. Isn't that how Camping World got it's start? With parts and supplies? Now why would you Not want customers, with money in hand, to come to your store? People who Used to use your store can now go online without the hassle of going to the store and getting irritated. No real customers there anyway, one other lady in the whole store, and she had nothing in her cart. Good luck with that. Once you stop customers from coming in, you have lost the sale, can you afford that? I personally think that they cannot. I for one, know that I will Never go into another CW as long as I have an RV. Everything is cheaper than the store, and the employees are way nicer! I am NOT talking about CW online, just online to another 'store'. Good luck in your travels and happy camping fellow RV'rs! Staff lied, said they had an RV on site that they did not. I drove 2 hours. They knew it was not on site, but lied to lure me to the dealership. Horrible Customer Service. I am filing a complaint with the BBB regarding my Coleman 17B Camper. Multiple calls, text messages to my sales rep & text messages to their sales text chat with zero response. I was sold this camper recently and the BTUs on the AC were guaranteed on their site at a minimum of 8,000 BTUs. The current unit is a 5,000 BTU max. Additionally, during the initial tow, as documented by my texts within a day -- the trailer created dents in the metal panels due to the fluctuation in the framing. Camping world is zero help. I should have listened to the reviews I read before I bought. Don't buy here. read more

I had a 2003 Lance 1030 that I needed to get rid of and I couldn't sell it on my own so I called up Camping World. Bryce (who was amazing by the way) asked for pictures, gave me a quote, and said I could drop it off the next day. Everything was smooth until I got there and my truck wouldn't start. The entire team gathered around trying to diagnose and solve the issue. They pulled out 2 different jumper boxes, and Bryce pulled his truck around to try to jump it directly. Unfortunately, it didn't work, so I had to call AAA, but nonetheless, the amount of effort those guys put in to help me jump my car restored my faith in humanity. As far as the process goes, it was smooth and seamless. Signed a couple of papers, dropped the camper off, and they mailed me a check within 3 business days. We spent months looking for a new travel trailer and looked at several dealerships. We looked at this location last year at some point and we're extremely put off by the salesman. He was very pushy, showed us trailers we specifically said we weren't interested in (bunkhouses), and was trying to get me to purchase a trailer that my truck at the time was not capable of towing. Fast forward a couple of months - I noticed this location had become camping world, so we thought maybe there was new staff and we really wanted to look at more Jayco products. We walked in the door and there's the same salesman we didn't like previously. We told a little lie and said we had never been there before with the hopes of getting paired with someone else. Luckily, we were set up with Cole. This dude showed us ONLY what we wanted to see, and truly listened to what we were looking for to use his expertise and knowledge of the brand to match us to the right trailer. We went from about to walk out again when we saw the same staff to purchasing a trailer that same day. Cole carted around his battery pack, showed us trailers with slides out and lights on, gave us time alone when we needed it, and worked hard with his finance department and sales manager to make us happy. He then continued the relationship when we came for our pre delivery inspection - he told us he'd be there in that day and he was. We had a small issue that day that he tried his best to deal with to make sure the day went smooth. Dealing with financing was easy as well, we had a small issue where there was a miscommunication with how much our down payment would be. I thought for sure the deal would fall through, they corrected it immediately almost without question. I'm only knocking a star off because I wasn't super happy with the tech who did our walk through. He was an older guy that kind of rushed through things and didn't offer much help when I asked about winterizing the unit. We also said we wanted to get hooked up quick to try to get back home before dark. After the inspection he disappeared - we were told he had gone home. The younger tech got us hitched quickly and was super helpful. I wish I would have walked the roof as well, when I got home I found a gash in the rubber membrane. Overall, super positive experience at camping world - thanks to Cole. read more

Bought a Lance Trailer approx. 5 Moths ago. Since then I 've tried contacting them to cancel a warranty. They told me they would take care of it. Its been over 5 Months now and they have not yet cancel the warranty. Last time I talked to them , they said they had sent the check to the bank financing my trailer, this was about a month and a half ago. Contacted the bank who told me they have not received the check. My calls to Camping world Riverside go to voice mail, and they never call me back. I was finally able to contact the manager (Harris)who told me he would call me back in a few days to see what the delay was. This was a week ago, no call back. Left messages in his answering machine, no call back yet. I suggest you stay away from Camping World Riverside, once they make a sale, you will not receive any help from them. read more

Purchased our motorhome December 2022. So this will be a rating of our experience so far. Otis was our sales person and he was great, he showed us several motor homes and kept us in our budget, he never tried to upsell other products. Delivery was a breeze, we were given the all information about how to operate all the equipment. Can't remember the young man's name (sorry) but he suggested we record him as he explained how everything worked, great idea and thank you, had to review the recording a couple of times on the first couple of trips. We did have some graphic stickers that needed to be replaced and that was agreed at the time of purchase. Took a while to get the stickers in but was they were delivered the service team replaced them and had the motorhome back in a week. We had an issue with the electrical system at a local campsite, luckily we were camping with a group of friends so all the food was transferred to other coolers and refrigerators, weather was good so didn't need the AC or heater at night. Dropped off the motorhome three days after we came back home and got it back seven days later, everything up and running. Apparently, when we hooked up at the campsite, it caused a short and they had to reset something under the bed panels. So far our experience with Camping World (Riverside) has been great!! read more

I was shopping for a travel trailer and found one that looked good and priced right. I contacted a couple of ladies that transferred me around a bit. I gave the info to them and they told me I would have to go to Riverside to see it. I made an appointment for that next Saturday morning. I even talked my youngest brother to go with me. As soon as we drove up and parked, the salesperson was coming out the door and said "They sold your trailer last night, but actually they are waiting for the green light for financing". Sorry about that. Imagine my disappointment. The lady I spoke to previously said it would be there for me to see. I even asked if it would be there for sure and she reassured me, I spoke to the Sales Manager and he could have been a wall. He did not share my meaning of a promise, because what that lady did a couple of nights before was promising the unit would be there. After talking to manager I was left with sales person. I said I didn't thing I would ever shop Camping World again. His response was "Well, we would be missing anything in that case". Are you kidding me. I'm medium high income and I can promise you they get lots of business from that income bracket which is around $164,000/year. Not rich, but comfy and can buy a trailer/motorhome anytime I want, Sales person was nice until I became upset that CW did not keep their promise, then I became the bad guy when that office and their leader starter ;sidestepping the situation and was when I started accusing them of bait and switch tactics. If you are not feeling what I am, it should happen to anyone that thinks I am over reacting. That's what Riverside Office of CW thinks. At least that is what they acted like. The corporate person that handles complaints basically did nothing other than offering another chance to look at units again and also offered me $100 shopping coupon. I told her that if I had to spend the $100 at CW...FORGET IT! Not even worth it the way they did not keep their promise ane the way they treated me from the Manager to the Salesman. I'm hoping those involved with the bait and switch, have a terrible year. Everyone else I hope do well... read more

Well, see my review on the La Mirada store for part one of this depressing adventure. Saw that the Riverside CA store on Indiana has four of the batteries I needed in stock so placed an order. No shipping which is understood as they are difficult to ship. I opted to just drive out (there are four in stock) so showed up and was told even though my receipt shows the item is at the Indiana St address I'd need to drive a few miles over and the Myers store would help me. Two words after handing me a map to the other location: "Go here". Yes their web site is incorrect, nothing they can do, bla bla bla. Drive to the other location and was asked why I didn't wait for my confirmation email - well that's because I wasn't told I needed one, they did charge my card. Yea well, seems the four in stock is really four held in some remote warehouse for this store, but not yet available to this store. I'd simply have to wait for that confirmation email. Needing the battery sooner than later, I cancelled the order. Asked to talk with the manager as clearly I'm not of sure the protocol for doing business at Camping World (and how to decide lies and all on their website). The manager scolded me for not having the confirmation and said nothing they can do about corporate not knowing where their store and parts department were actually located. By the way, other companies use the confirmation (she told me) so I guess I should have known. Well, OTHER COMPANIES UPDATE THEIR WEBSITES ONCE IN A WHILE.... Out of luck on this second option, did find another list of distributors, so will go through them after the holiday. Strongly recommend Camco or Amazon for most anything on the CW website. Don't think I'd trust my rig to their repair shop either if that ever comes up, who knows how bad parts acquisition is beyond things I could fix or install myself? read more

Is it Fraud? We've always heard cliche car sales men tactics such as over aggressiveness, hyping up the price or even selling you things you don't really need. However Camping world in Riverside has reached a new low. They blatantly lied about requiring Good Sam insurance (which is their own insurance) and that they wouldn't let me drive out without it on a travel trailer which is not motorized. Even alluding that it was the law. Also, they seem to give you a lower price, then, they compensate that discount by charging an absurd, immoral price on parts that don't even match what was on the initial receipt. When I asked for a detailed receipt with name of product and price, the manager brushed me off. This is not how you treat customers, especially veterans. Some would call this fraud. I would rather go to a local, smaller dealer next time. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would the customer service here is absolutely horrendous, they make empty promises.
