We purchased a fifth wheel in April and they ordered a part for us that was missing. After a long wait we made an early appointment to have the part put in, and the service person found a million and one things that needed to be done to our 5th wheel? We explained to him that we had not even used our 5th wheel yet, to have such services. After waiting ALL DAY!! We received a call at 4:00pm that they had the wrong part.. that the unit needed to be brought back. As if I live down the street!!! Needless to say the service department has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I ve ever experienced. They were only interest in charging me .5 hours at 99.00 for checking out an oversight on their part of a recliner chair that they have neglected to make sure it was in working conditions. Completely unprofessional when it comes to getting warranty and maintenance done. I've been back three times to get some simple LED cap lights fixed. Absolute worst customer service on the planet. I have been calling for 3 weeks!! Trying to get someone to help me with a window replacement on my 5th wheel that I purchased from them. Literally 3 weeks! Speaking to different people, getting "we'll call you back", "we're working on it", and nothing happens. No help, no answers, nothing at all. I call back to check in and they have no idea who I am or what I am talking about. Horrific customer service. I paid for the full coverage warranty on my trailer as well, but it doesn't help either. Purchased my new Jayco back in Aug 2022. Voiced concern over the ac unit. Especially since I have a special needs daughter who has temperature regulation issues. I asked for another to be added and was told that was not possible even though the Jayco website says it is. Was told several times ac unit would work just fine for my length of rv. Took it out end of Sept for first camping trip and rv could not cool down during the day. The ac unit is not big enough for my rv. Due to the heat in the rv had to take daughter away to keep her cool. Not what I had in mind when wanting to camp with the family. During that trip we had issues with several items. (Leaking shower, etc) All warrenty type work. Called and to make an appointment to take the rv in 10/21/22. It took us till the 2nd week of Dec to final get ahold of someone in service to schedule our pick up. Ridiculous customer service never calling us back. Calls not being answered. When we asked to speak to a manger always sent to vm with no return call. Went to pick up trailer 12/10/22 to find out they damaged both sides! The sales rep suggested we take it home and just bring back at another time. Who does that?! Promise date was 12/16/22 and yet no tailer. Several trips have had to be canceled disappointing the kids. I would stay as far away from this place as possible! I should have walked out the day I went to buy it when there were issues then. read more

Don't ever buy anything from this place. Bought a trailer back in October. Got a surprise registration for my trailer. Contract originally said fees included but they were apparently not. This review is more a commentary on customer interactions than quality of repairs. I assume the repairs provided are sound. Short version: It took me 4 months, multiple phone calls, more than $600, and 3 hours waiting around needlessly to get a solenoid replaced on my Class B RV. Do better. Detailed version: After 2 months of delays trying to get a minor electrical issue resolved in my Class B RV at the Camping World Service Center in San Diego, they finally revealed they were shutting down that location and I had to take my RV to Camping World in Menifee. I called Menifee to explain my electrical troubles, and scheduled an appointment (first available: 5 weeks out). I arrived on July 10th with my RV. They told me to wait for my service advisor. An hour later, my service advisor appeared and we discussed the issue. He said I had to leave the RV with them and it may take a few days for the service specialists to look at it (not sure why I waited a month just to drop it off). A few days later, my service advisor called to tell me he was in training for the next week out of town but that someone would be looking at my RV. After another week or so, my service advisor called to tell me that, as expected, the master power switch needed to be replaced and it would cost $600. Sounded pricey to me but I grudgingly agreed. He said they needed a few days to get the work done. Told him if he could get the work done by July 23rd, I could pick it up that day. Otherwise, I could pick up the following Monday. He said no problem. He called the next day to say they could not get to the repairs by the 23rd so I would need to pick up on Monday, July 28th. He called me the following day (July 24th, while I was traveling) to tell me repairs were done and I needed to pick up today. I reminded him of our conversation that I was out of town but could pick up Monday the 28th. He said he was not working that day. I said, no problem if someone else was there to help me. He grudgingly said he would stop in on his day off to handle. We agreed to meet at 10:00 am. I showed up at 10:00 am on the 28th and asked for my Service Advisor. They explained it was his day off. I said he told me he was coming in on his day off to return my RV. They said called him to confirm but he said he wasn't coming in. The nice folks at the service desk said they would help me. Fine. So another Service Advisor walked me through the repairs (turned out it was a bad solenoid, not a switch) and took payment. He said they would pull my RV around up front in a few minutes. I returned to the customer lounge and waited. About an hour later, I returned to the service desk and asked if my RV was ready. They said since they had no idea I was coming, my van was in the back of a parking lot somewhere and they were moving vehicles to get it out (WTF?). I returned to the customer lounge and kept checking out front for my van. Another hour later, someone walked by and asked if I needed anything. I said I was waiting for my RV and not sure what is taking so long. She said she would check on it. A few minutes later, a service person came out and said my vehicle was waiting for me outside, and had been there for awhile. I went to the front and did not see my RV. Then I noticed way in the back of the parking lot about 100 yards away what appeared to be my van. I walked out and sure enough, there it was - covered in dirt. Not sure where they kept it for the past few weeks but nowhere clean. Netting it all out, I was very impressed by the facility, the cleanliness, the coffee, and the amount of employees walking around, smiling, doing things including 2 people sitting at the reception desk out front greeting customers as they came in plus another staffed reception desk for the retail section. And yet, no one could be bothered to let me know when and where my van would be delivered to me? And then gas-lighting me to say it was out front for awhile? I'm guessing they finally got around to pulling it up, hid it out back, and told me some BS as CYA. I paid $200/hour for the electrician to work on my van. Seems to me, my time is valuable too. I would gladly exchange the soft couch, employee smiles, and hot coffee in the customer lounge for a more efficiently run operation with better communications. Finally, I was contacted by Camping World asking how my experience was. I shared a condensed version of above and requested they contact me about it. Still waiting. In the meantime, you get to read this. read more

We bought a 5th wheel here in January of 24. We were bullied into purchasing the extended warranty. We cancelled it 8 months ago, HOWEVER, Camping world has not started the process, returned calls or emails and continue to ignore this, even though we fulfilled the requirements to cancel. Run from this dealership. Once they have as much of your money as possible, they will never support you again. read more

This experience has been devastating to both the value and livability of our camper. The work was careless, unprofessional, and has turned what was once a well-designed RV into something nearly unusable for a family. * Poor craftsmanship: The walls were cut with jagged, splintered edges, and measurements are so wrong that the microwave door slams into the wall when opened, causing the wall to move. The floor is lopsided, and the slide-out repair is unstable. * Appliance downgrades: A perfectly good stove was replaced with an oversized, non-working unit, and a large, quality refrigerator was swapped for a basic two-door residential fridge. They even took the original working appliances, which should have stayed with the camper. * Destroyed finishes: Finished cabinets with handles were replaced with raw, unfinished wood--no paint, no knobs. The quartz countertops were ripped out and replaced with unfinished counters, leaving the kitchen cheap and incomplete. * Impractical design changes: * The outside kitchen area was removed. * A pointless sink was added in the bunkhouse, wasting valuable space. * The spacious pantry was removed, which is unacceptable for a family of four. Anyone who understands RV living knows how important storage is for families. What's worse, after seeing the damage, they offered no apology and took no responsibility. It feels like robbery and unethical business practices--as if they take advantage of customers without any regard for the fact that these are people's investments and, for many, their homes. If any good can come from this, it's my warning to others so they don't suffer the same heartache and financial loss. No one deserves this. Upper management needs to take action immediately--no company should remain in business if this is how they operate. read more

I bought a Coleman Dutchman lantern lt. let me tell you the number of things wrong with it are ridiculous, the roof has a huge bubble which will I repeat will cause a leak in the near future. Claim was denied. I just bought this thing and it has some panels that are all messed up, the place where the electricity gets plugged into is all messed up. Everything was installed wrong. And they won't approve the claim. Brand new 0 miles. 2134005104 call me and ask me about it all before getting scammed by these people. Be super careful!! They will lie and cheat you out of your money and then deny anything wrong on their side. About the GM reply That's fake, they already made the decision camping world and the warranty department. HIGH PRESSURE USED CAR SALES!! I walked in a week and a half ago just browsing and specifically told them I was NOT buying I just wanted to look. They make you give them your cellphone number in order to browse as well as they make a sales person go with you. I kinda understand that but it wasn't this way when it was Richardson RV. Lisa proceeded to show me fifth wheels that I was thinking about then toward the end of our walk started the pressure. "So did you see anything like?" No not really, I'm just browsing and not looking to buy. "Well how about we step in my office and we can look online?" No thanks, I can do that myself at home. "Ok, well let me grab my manager." You've got to be kidding me! I'm done. The following week I get a call from the front desk, (because they forced me to give my cell), and asked if there was anything they could do to help in my search. I said NO I was just browsing and now due to their high pressure tactics I would NEVER buy from them and don't ever call me again. Low and behold Lisa decided to call me again today 3/3/24 and ask if I have traded my truck in, which needs to be done to buy a bigger trailer, and if she could help me find anything. The high pressure tactics do nothing but piss me off and I will now go out of my way to make sure me, my family or anybody I know never buys from camping world in Menifee. read more

Who I would Recommend 1000% times over these crooks at Camping World Menifee. When I thought this nightmare was almost over, that's where another began. I contacted Camping World about cancelling the Good Sam Warranties & Service Plans and good luck. They promise you can cancel them for a refund of the unused portion if any reason your no longer the owner. That was another lie. I have called, left voicemails, emails no response. Today is November 12th 2025, still no response or refund check. Next step is turn it over to my lawyer for a lawsuit, I'm EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!!!! read more

Camping World - Menifee - Gunny 10/10!! - RV Dealers Near Me - Menifee, California

I purchased an RV from Camping World along with an extended warranty in July 2023. I decided I didn't want the extended warranty and proceeded to cancel the warranty this past August. My contract stated that the warranty could either be cancelled directly through the warranty company or through Camping World. I decided to cancel directly through the warranty company, in which it stated that it will take up to six weeks to cancel. I mailed in the request via certified mail and my request was received a couple weeks later on September 13th. Once my six weeks was up, the warranty still wasn't cancelled. After numerous attempts to speak with the warranty company and not being able to speak to someone over the phone. I went back to CW, in which they told me that I can't cancel through the company directly and I should've come to them. The warranty contract clearly states that I could cancel through the warranty company. After being pressured by the finance department to keep the contract, I continued to go through the cancellation process. I then gave CW ANOTHER six weeks to cancel the warranty. I have given them more than enough time (four months) to cancel my warranty. It seems as though a review is needed in order to grant my request of cancelling my warranty. read more
