Super late review but me and my friends went here before heading to Snow Valley earlier this year and they were so so so nice! They were extremely accommodating, super nice to the first time riders in our group, and made us feel super welcomed. It's been months and I still think about this business just because of the great experience we had. If you are heading up the mountain, I'm not kidding, even if it may be more convenient to get your stuff at the resort, I seriously recommend stopping here first to get all your gear! read more

Bought snow gear, including goggles that they went out of their way to order and replace the visor on, since it had a scratch from the manufacturer. They put in time to help me track down some telemark gear that they don't sell there, and sponsored a cider, hot chocolate, hot dogs and chips viewing party for some Red Bull Rampage mtn bike competition. The employees are nice but the owners are rude. Accused us of losing business due to equipment being returned a day late. We got into a major accident and were not able to return it on time because we only had one car to get around bear mountain. It would have took 3 hours to drive to and back and we didn't want to lose that much time from our trip. We were fully aware that we would be paying an extra day and were ok with that. So she didn't lose money as she said she did because we paid for the extra day. We actually made her more money considering that now she can rent it out on top of the extra day we paid. Once we returned the equipment and everyone was in the car, she didn't know I was still in the restroom and was trash taking us to her employees. When she saw me, she was startled and I just walked out. I rented it so far from bear mountain because I thought it would be very expensive up there but it was actually the same price. I would never rent from this store again if I'm visiting bear mountain because of how far (3 hour drive to and from) it is and also because of her lack of empathy. I told her my family member had crashed their car and she was still very upset that the equipment was late. She also mentioned to me that her husband had left threatening phone messages on our phone that he was gonna charge us full price and to please disregard it. I had to have some work done on my mountain bike. Decided to check out mountain life supply, and i'm very pleased that I did. I was able to bring my bike over, and they inspected it, gave me a fair quote. Everyone that I dealt with at the shop was friendly, answered my questions, and even gave me some ideas on where to bike local trails. The store also has some great camping gear in the shop, solar fire pits, and other outdoor products. Was great to check out some of the items while I was waiting. I am really pleased to see a local bike shop provide good mtb service, and a great sense of community. Previously, I had to run my bike down the hill or to Big Bear for my repairs. This family-owned and operated shop is our go-to stop for mountain outdoor sports needs. They specialize in mountain bike and ski / snowboarding gear, repair, and rentals, but you can find cool clothes and products for camping too. I got my skis waxed by Paul and could immediately feel the difference on my first run. My wife got measured and fitted for new ski boots, and they are the most comfortable pair she's ever worn. I'm also a big fan of their beanies, which are super cozy. They hold special events on occasion and are all around a jewel of the mountain community. This place is the stop for all snowboarding, skiing and mountain bike needs! The staff is so friendly and makes you feel so comfortable with any questions you have! This snow season I've gotten my board waxed there multiple times for such a great price. My next board, bindings or boots I will be purchasing from them and they even do boot fittings if you do buy their boots! For mountain biking I got my bike from them and they offer so many benefits with the purchase of your bike and have all the accessories you will need! Stopped by a couple days before Thanksgiving looking for a chain for my road bike, as the master link snapped on my first vacation ride. They were in the midst of converting the store over for snow season but looked in the back of the store to find 2 master links to get me through the weekend. Late review. Came here a couple months back to get my daughter fitted for rentals for her first snowboard trip. Staff were excellent and quick in getting her geared up and back on the road! They are one of the cheapest rentals on the hill and would recommend them to all. Even gave my daughter some tips on making her learning experience a little easier. read more

My son and I rented e-bikes to ride at Skypark. You can reserve the bikes ahead of time on their website, which you can't do at Skypark. The shop gave me a courtesy call the day before our rental began so they could set the bikes up properly. The team was great - they got us going quickly, the bikes were in excellent condition, they even checked suspension sag for us and installed a bike rack on our van to use. One of the bikes got a flat and they didn't charge for it. These guys are awesome and they are only 10 min. away from Skypark. Also, the shop is fully stocked with good stuff and has a modern vibe.
