Went in to look at 2 specific bikes, Roscoe and marlin 7. I explained to Scott I wanted a bike for mountain biking. He showed me exactly what I was looking for. They have GREAT deals. I ended up leaving with the Roscoe and I LOVE IT. Went up to Hulda Crooks Canyon and it was a dream. Going up is not always fun but the way down on my new bike felt like I was floating. Also I would like to note that thy have a large selection of bikes, accessories and service. The location, from what I was explained has been recently remodeled and it is really nice. Love this shop. We purchased two bikes elsewhere and had them assemble and adjust them for us. They also tuned up a bike we already owned. The staff was very helpful and informative. I just started biking again, and i was having some trouble with my bike. It had been a while since the last time I rode my bike, and Thomas helped me get my bike checked out!! It was due for a tune-up and they took it right then and there! I waited a little bit for it, but they did tell me that they wouldn't have a chance to work on it until Friday. Overall, I had a great experience and everyone I spoke with were very nice and welcoming! They helped me adjust my seat and the store had so much variety in stuff!! I broke the chain while borrowing my roommates 20 year old schwinn that was left outside for years (though winters!) so i wasn't surprised when the chain snapped in staters prking lot LomaLinda. Safe...but not cool. As the rule goes, if u break it, you fix it. They made it better than brand new. And way cooler than anything new imo. To begin I have never done a yelp review before, but I had such a great experience with Cyclery USA Redlands I wanted to share with those in the market for a bicycle. Went to the store looking for a fitness/hybrid bike that will fit in my budget. First person I spoke with Logan provided some options with detailed explanation of the differences of the bikes I was considering. I purchased a bike based on Logan's recommendation. When the bike arrived, I met with Devin who was also extremely helpful. Devin fitted me for an upgraded saddle which is without question the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden. While I was in the store, I also spoke with Scott who I am assuming is the store manager. Could not have been a better experience! read more

Brought in a brand new $2k+ steel frame Surly (that was a gift for my girlfriend) to get something minor done a while back. When I got home I noticed they somehow gnarled the hell out of the seat tube when they clamped it in the bike stand. It was bad enough to chew through the powder coating and mangle the decal that was there. Im no mechanic but a quick google search confirmed that the proper and obvious place to clamp a bike would be the seatpost and not any part of the frame itself, as even steel tubing is susceptible to damage when clamped. Insane that a bike mechanic would even make this mistake. I don't know what's worse; the fact that they either didn't notice the damage they had caused due to sheer negligence or noticed it and weren't professional enough to own up to it and attempt to make it right. That blatant act of carelessness made me never go back. Could it have been a one off mistake? Totally, but I'd encourage everyone to thoroughly examine their bicycle after getting serviced here or try another shop altogether. EDIT: Not a fake review, this happened late 2022 to a Surly Midnight Special. I'm not one to typically leave reviews but looking at the damage to the bike a little over two years later, it still annoyed me enough to came back to document my experience. Im sure your staff typically knows better and it was a one off mistake but that doesn't change the fact that it happened. I didn't respond to your message because I'm not really interested in taking you up on your offer to make it right as there isn't much that realistically can be done to repair the damage. The options are pretty much just use touch up paint to try and hide it or re powder coat the entire frame which I don't expect you to pay for. The bike still rides obviously and it's just cosmetic damage that I'll have to live with much like this negative review you'll now have to live with as a result. I've had the worst luck with the rear wheel on my cargo bike recently. It started with the dreaded rubbing sound that indicates the spokes need to be re-tensioned. Took it the local bike shop and they found 3 broken spokes; at the time we only had 150 miles on it. We just had it in the shop at 105 miles for the initial tune up so we were sure the spokes were tensioned properly. Bunch Bike didn't think that was right and replaced the entire back wheel! Another 200 miles resulted in a cracked rim. Once again Bunch Bike, the manufacturer, came through with a stronger rim, complete with new hub and 12 gauge spokes in a different hand-built lacing pattern. Both incidents were covered by warranty for replacement parts, labor costs and free shipping. On the way back home from Redlands Cyclery a scraping sound started after a few miles. Back to the shop and the mechanics were baffled. We eliminated fender rub, rear disk brake, the spokes don't cross on the stronger rim and wheel alignment was true on this brand new rim. We even removed the Cafe wheel lock but the noise persisted. That only leaves the electric motor. A call was arranged between Dillon, the mechanic and Product Manager, Elliot. Elliot was convinced there were no other troubleshooting tips we hadn't tried and shipped out another strong rim complete with spokes and new motor. When the replacement wheel arrived, Redlands Cyclery made the repair while we waited. A return label was included so the defective wheel can be inspected. Another example how well Bunch Bikes and Redlands Cyclery treat their customers and wants everyone to be happy! read more

I got a cheap bike from online and had some issues that made it difficult to ride. As a commuter student having an efficient and low cost method of traveling is important, so i took it in to get all the tune up needed to fix. I brought it in to this store on a thurs afternoon where Thomas helped me figure out the best tune up needed-tightening the splints or spokes? (the tiny bars that or on the wheels), aligning the derailer, fixing the gear shifter, and adjusting all brakes and the wires that comes with it- this all came out to $115. A bit pricey in my opinion but idk what goes into fixing all that. Finally got a msg notifying me that it was ready for pick up Mon afternoon- so a total of 3-4days (note i did not make appointment, i was walk-in). I have ridden it 3 times already and ive had no issues! This baby rides so smooth! They did a great job! I will update later to see if any issues arise, but as of now i am a happy camper and satisfied with the service! Pro-friendly, great tune up/ fixing Con- a little pricey (but if this bike lasts me than totally worth it) and maybe a little longer than expected in time to fix (again idk what goes into the work so maybe that was actually fast?) You can say I have an OCD impulse to search high and low for something I have become fixated on getting. I have a Specialized Sirrus and it is exceptional for me. But I wanted to upgrade to a purpose built road bike. These 2020 models are becoming rare to find. Seems this one was on hold since September and the deal feel through. It went up for sale that evening and in the morning I happened to call. They agreed to place a hold on it. Something they didn't have to do. When I got there the bike had a sold sign and had my my name. Trevor then hooked me up with jersey, cleats, pedals, shoes and a water cage. I needed all of this stuff, so it was not a hard up sale as most locations try to do - hey we all have to eat. He was friendly and open to answering my questions in a very chill manner. I had to drive 48miles one way to get what I wanted. It was well worth it. The store has hand sanitizer at the door. All staff is wearing masks correctly. They limit patrons in the store and have a separate entrance for service and repairs. They have ample stock for all your needs. If you are making an investment don't go cheap don't buy get duped by on line prices from outfits abroad. Decided to come down and check out what they had in stock since every other bike shop I've gotten in contact with had almost nothing. When you first arrive you do need to wait by the front door for them to let you in since they are practicing the social distancing rules in affect right now. Once we were let in by Al we told him what we were looking for and he immediately walked in the right direction to the bikes we wanted. After talking for about 10-15 minutes about the bikes we both decided to make a purchase and get two new Trek Marlin 5s. Once we paid we did not have to wait very long for the bikes to be done so we could take them home. Overall amazing customer service and all around such friendly staff. Hello my name is Philip Perez. I am retired from Southern California Gas Company. I went into Cycle USA in Redlands and disclosed that I was disabled in that my wife and I were looking for bicycles peddle assist. They recommended the step through bicycle because of my bad hip. I purchased two of them from Heather. My wife is 5.5 so we had to order a bicycle that was 5.5 and below which took almost 3 months to get. I discussed this with the manager Heather. Upon arrival to finally pick up my bikes, the manager Heather ignored me saying anyone can help you and ignored me. I felt like I was at a bar and not a regular or that because she gave a discount...she seemed irritated! I had my own bicycle rack rated for e-bikes but Heather told the associate not to help me knowing I was disabled. While loading the bikes, I cut my finger, after struggling by myself outside for nearly an hour I finally got both the bikes strapped and was able to get them home. I just can't believe how they made me feel the humiliation and the struggles of age make it difficult for me. I have a steel plate and titanium screws in left ankle 5 disc protrusions, in my lower back and a bad hip. I am hopeful that reaching out to you will help me to reach out to Aventon bikes because no answers when I call all day? 1-866-300-3311. My experience at the Redlands location was a top tier experience! I was actually referred from a coworker to go here for my first bike purchase. I expected to just stop by, ask a few questions and then leave to think about which bike I wanted to purchase. The moment I walked in I warmly greeted and invited to look around. Less than 5 minutes if even that, Marcel approached me and offered help. Marcel went above and beyond for me to the point where I didn't hesitate on the purchase, didn't need to go home and think about anything. Not only was Marcel knowledgeable, but he literally made the whole experience feel as though a friend was helping me out. He made sure my safety options were discussed and mentioned some things I didn't even think about. What I appreciated the most was he was speaking from experience, not from a sales person point of view. When I got home I was having trouble putting the front tire back on as it was taken off so it could fit in my trunk. I called the shop and Marcel walked me through it over the phone successfully. I brought my electric trike in to fix a flat tire. The staff told me it was going to be a month due to a backlog in repairs and needing to order parts. I thought that was reasonable. Fast forward a week before date of estimated completion of job. I called to check the status of the repair. I was informed that the repairs were going to be completed by the due date (the following week). It was no problem, and I thanked the employee. On the day of the completed repairs I called to find out when I could pick up my trike. It was then that I found out that my trike just sat in the shop, and parts were still on order. I have no toleration for businesses to lie to me. I would have had no problems for a staff member to call me and tell me the parts were on backorder. You lost my trust in your business. read more

I took my bike to Cyclery USA for disc brake service on 5/7/20. My front brake is making loud noises when braking , and rear brake needs adjustment at the disc is robbing the caliber. The guy told me the bike will be ready before store close. I got text from the shop around 2pm, earlier than I thought , so I went to pick up my bike and pay for the service of $24. When I load my bike up the car, I noticed the rear brake still robbing, I told the mechanic the rear brake is not adjusted , so he took the bike and work on it at the spot. Than after few days I took my bike for the ride , the front brake is still making loud noises. This wasn't good , so I took my bike to the real professional and a trustworthy person to take a look, he help me check the brake and found out Cyclery USA never touch my brake or check it. The front brake pad needs to replace. Basically Cyclery USA took my money without telling me anything or repairing my brakes(attached is my worn brake pads that showed me in person from the real professional bike mechanic). So basically Cyclery USA just took my money and taking advantage of me. What a ripped off! Therefore DO NOT GO THERE FOR BIKE REPAIR...NOT A HONEST PLACE! About two weeks ago, I pulled up to Redlands Cycling, looking for a good used bike. God directed Bob to me because he knew I'd be treated right. Subsequently Bob, directed toward a beautiful used Trek, One Series, on display outside in front of the store. The rest is history. After listening to Bobs introduction of the Trek, i purchased it that same day. A couple of days later, I hit the Santa Ana River Bike Trail. The Trek turned out to be a superb ,ultimate, driving machine of its class. Not to mention the ease of shifting the gears, this Trek handles and perform with such precision, that I have to stay attentive at all times. I took my 2019 s works venge for their platinum service before my tour de Palm Springs ride. The bike felt great but my front disk break kept rubbing which it wasn't doing before the service. I took it back and they adjusted it, and it was still rubbing. I took it back a 2nd time for an adjustment and it still was making that same noise. I didnt want to be a bother so I road it for a month to see if it would go away, but it was progressively getting worse. I took it back to leave at the shop and the young guy working on it told me there was nothing they could do and that my carbon was flexing causing it to make it rub. He told me too look into getting a new wheel, fork or maybe even a new bike!! I walked out confused because ive only had my bike for 3 years, ive never crashed or dropped my bike. I took it to specialized, they did a few adjustment and stopped the noise I kept hearing for the passed 3 months. Specialized basically told me that whoever worked on my bike was just being lazy lol. I was very disappointed, the guys seemed super nice but, I mean come on, dont give up and tell me to get a new bike after spending around 15k on one. A platinum service costed me around 400 dollars with everything, at least adjust my breaks properly. I wont be coming back here again. read more

First and foremost it has taken a number of visits here to receive the four star rating at this review. Next is location, location, location! This cyclery establishment is located on the Orange Blossom trail and the Orange Blossom trail is currently my FAVORITE thing about Redlands in our 20 year relationship. I am embedding the trail in a review of a business because I claim the trail as a locals only amenity to residents living in Redlands, Mentone and Yucaipa the community who would be able to bike to the trail. So back to the business; Cyclery USA Ty has the most gorgeous red beard and he is also very good a picking a good mountain bike seat based upon the parameters presented to him during our initial meeting. Also I love it when the intake technician is younger than my Specialized Rock Hopper, especially when I point that out to them and get to see their reaction. They have this green slime that's made from local cacti; so back to the trail; there are often large thorns on the well maintained dirt trail running along side the asphalt part of the trail. So I was able to walk my bike from the trail that supplied the tire flattening thorns and re-up my green slime for 10 dollars and that's how Cyclery USA, received a 4 star rating from this local. read more
