After upgrading my bike last year, I've really appreciated their complimentary tune-ups. The team has always been helpful, professional, and easy to work with. Recently, while preparing for an upcoming Ironman 70.3, I had an unexpected maintenance issue come up right before leaving town. Genuinely the worst experience every time I go. I ask for a simple brake install and route and get nothing but rude service and smart remarks. I explain what I needed twice and then was asked "well if you have your brakes all the way off already why didn't you do it yourself" I didn't know an establishment would actually RECOMMEND not giving service and accepting business from people. After explaining I didn't do it myself because I don't have the tools I was then corrected about the tools needed considering i know what I'm talking about and was then told that I would need to come in 3 weeks later with an appointment if I wanted service. Which would be TOTALLY UNDERSTANDABLE if it wasn't for the fact one out of all of the mechanics were actually working and the rest were chopping it up with bikes on stands waiting to be serviced. Here from Northern Nevada and have been taking advantage of the good weather to get some rides in. Had an issue with the bike and saw Don's Bicycles was close. Took my bike in and requested a tuneup and to resolve the shifter issue. The shops next available appointment was about a week in the future but Brian said he would look the bike over and fix the shifting problem so I could get some more miles in. Took the bike back in for the tuneup appointment and the service performed was quick and perfect. When I picked the bike up Brian explained all of the maintenance performed and made recommendations on a chain lube to use and maintain the wax job I had done on a new chain. They are rude, they lie, and they think that they can blow you off for weeks and not even call and tell you what is wrong with the bike. They are very deceptive and deceitful, changing the days on us 4 times. I should have known when one of there techs was outside smoking weed when we got there. Don't ever take a bike to this place of go there to buy a bike they will rip you off. When we finally got a quote initially it was 80 an hour and now I am being told it is 99 an hour. From one DON'S to another. The afternoon started in Rialto at what I though was a pretty epic bike shop, We met the owner Scott (Don's son) and he really took his time with us helping to find just the right bike. Being in search of an E bike that day choices and inventory are still limited everywhere, It has been strike out after strike out, that is until we found Don's.  Even at the smaller shop (it's not small but smaller) the inventory was great but just the right bike was a miss. Scott sent us to the Redlands store and at first sight of this massive shop I was blown away! As we entered we were instantly greeted as if they were expecting us (we were expected) Scott had called ahead and gave the store a heads up and some info on what we were looking for. I must say this bike shop is very impressive! Inventory is better then any bike shop I have ever been in and They have a ton of beautiful Giant bikes on hand as well. It was the E Bike selection that we came for and I would say they had about 60 e bikes ready to go. Just the right bike was found, upgrades and modifications ordered, and ready in about 15 minutes, then a bike tec took the bike for a safety check run. confident in the purchase away we went with what we started the afternoon looking for... just the right bike. That was a well spent hour in that amazing shop with expert and patient service. Forget everything you have been experiencing with your local bike shop and take the drive or ride to Don's. OK, I have been riding bicycles now for almost 50 years and I actually have my own bike shop at my home where I have 11 bikes. I have been doing my own repairs all these years so I know a little about bike repairs, and I think I am qualified to comment on the subject. I crashed my Cannondale in March and cracked the top tube badly. I checked around and found that Don's shop claimed to be able to repair carbon frames, so I took pictures of the frame and sent them to the guys there. They quoted a price that I felt was fair so I sent the frame to them and got it back today. The repair is FLAWLESS. It looks as good as it did when it was new. Even the paint is perfect. Can't say enough about the job they did. 100% satisfied and can highly recommend this shop for this kind of repair. read more

Is what I heard from the front counter coming from don da big boss himself in da flesh n hit me with the "check this out bro ima hook you up cuz yeah we could patch both tires up again n charge you 10$ for both tires OTD PRICE IS 10$ or since you come here a lot n bought multiple bikes from us here @ dons for the last -10-13 years since I've bought my first ever REAL DEAL BOUJEE ASS BRAND NEW STILL IN THE BOX FRESH OFF DA DELIVERY TRUCK BRAND NEW ASFF N IT GOT BUILT UP N PUT TOGETHER BY DA BIG HOMIE WITH BLONDE HAIR BUT always got a BLK hat on n always wearing caquis shorts n he's always in the working areas behind da counter n he was super cool n really informative and patient with me when helping choose my seat n handle grips/tape and then on top of everything I wanted to switch out my rims or at da very very very least swap One out but homie said nah g if you got the budget to get both bro then I'd recommend you both and " check this out so there originally 246) for both rims and that's them like that straight NAKED OUT DA BOX W/O INNER TUBES OR TIRES SO he hit me with da give us 225 rn n I gotchu with 2 thick slick tires new with tag still n worth up to 40$ each and then he gave me 2 EXTRA HEAVY DUTY THORNPROOF INNERTUBES BOTH for 22$ when that's what one of em is in worth so he only charged me 1 tube and the 225 for both tires which it was total of bout 287$ -297 and I walked put with a damn near brand new ass bikes all that was left was to go n buy some new riding shoes that allow me to clip into my pedal locks but yeah all I have to say about DONS IS NOTHING BUT GREAT/amazing things on behalf of the customer service/ reliability/dependability/ hours/ and overall feeling of the place is great n clean but the thing I hate the most MAN is the crazily outrageous prices that they have for everything in there is frikkin bananas guys like seriously who's actually paying those wicked high prices man I'd love to know frfr cuz I could never go there again after the fact they hustled me for damn near 300$ man for a damn pedal bike I felt like I had brought my car into the dealer for an oil change expexting 30$ but noooo it had these things wrong on it n so many broken parts we couldn't let you go like that so. I had a flat on my expensive stroller. I didn't know how to fix it nor where to order parts for it. It was horrible using it at Disney with my girls. I walked in feeling dumb because it's a bike shop. I was expecting guys to be annoyed by a mom asking for help with her stroller. These men were all very welcoming and kind. Scott helped me immediately and assessed the stroller. He said I only needed a new tube and air in my tires. Idk how to explain his demeanor, have you ever spoken to someone who has a conversation with you with a smile on their face? That was Scott And when I told Scott my issues I had during my last Disney trip, they all volunteered to go with me to make sure I don't have anymore tire issues ....so funny! Overall, great shop. Came in for two heavy duty inner tubes and installed and one brake cable the short one from the brake arm to the other. $32 for the in tubes and $5 for the cable I ask what the total was guy was like $90!!!!! I was like WTF are you talking about? HOW! So $32 for the inber tubes $30 to install $5 for the cable and $8 in stall. $75 total why was my total $90? Why were they trying to rip me off? I purchase an lectric E bike and wanted to change out the derailer for a better derailer which was recommended by several forums. I wasn't happy with the OEM .The one I had was lower quality turney by Shimano. I I knew the model I wanted and they had it in stock. I told them i was on my way to have it installed. I came to the store and to my surprise the customer service was terrible. I had to argue with them to get them to sell it to me and install it. They kept telling me I don't need it and had no interest in putting it on my bike. I would not recommend this place. read more

I've always had a bike for commutes and fun rides, but in the last few years I started biking more seriously and I finally decided it was time to upgrade to a nice road bike after years of riding an old bike I got off Craigslist. I shopped around for MONTHS and test rode a ton of different bikes. I finally decided on a bike I loved, but couldn't find it in stock anywhere. Other shops kept telling me it was backordered and they wouldn't be able to get it. When I came into Don's in Rialto, they had the bike I wanted, but the wrong size and a different groupset. I lamented about how hard it's been to find, and the owner, Scott, said to wait and he could try to make a call. A few minutes later, he said he could get my bike in the exact size and components that I wanted! Paid a deposit (fully refundable) and was given an estimated date. The bike took a little longer than I expected (maybe it had to be imported or something), but when I finally got it, I was in love. While I was waiting for the bike, I also sent them a list of shoes, pedals, bottles, cages, and things I wanted as well, and whatever they could get in store, they already added to the bike when I came to pick up! It was also my first foray into road bike spd-sl pedals from the spd mtb ones, and they held the bike while I sat and practiced clipping in and out until I felt more comfortable with it. Can't rave enough about their service. They are also one of the few bike shops around that still offer free lifetime tune-ups with every new bike purchase, ends up saving hundreds! I've recommended them to all my friends and family looking for a new bike, and they haven't disappointed. Some friends who bought bikes elsewhere are jealous of the service and free tune-ups I get for my bike here. These guys are awesome! read more

Thankfully, we did get someone to help us but because it was towards the end of day, he told us to come back the next day. We came here this weekend to get new bikes . There was a line outside but it was because they only allowed a few people in at a time because of social distancing . The guys there were very helpful and quick. We already knew what we wanted , so I would suggest looking online to Get a better idea of what they have ... that way at least you have a starter on what they can recommend instead of just " I'm looking for a bike" just because it does get busy . My bf was able to get the exact bike he wanted and so did I . I got a pink beach cruiser , and my bf got OM Duro . They built them in less an hour and we were on our way ! The last Anniversary gift that my late husband ever gave me is a very cool, very fun mountain bike. When my husband passed away in 2019, the bike sat on the deck of our mountain home, exposed to the elements for way too long (it was pretty weathered). Upon moving down the mountain and settling into life in the flat lands, I finally decided to get back to riding. Don's came highly recommended, so I dragged my "Liv" in to get her fixed up. Just being in the shop and listening to the other customers chat about their recent rides made me remember how FUN the mountain bike community is! The guys in the service department are jovial folks who make you feel like you've known them for years. When I left the bike, I was given a promised completion date of one week later. As the days got closer to the promise date, I thought to myself "Wouldn't it be cool to ride the last Anniversary gift that Todd ever gave me...ON my anniversary?" I was a tiny bit bummed out that the completion wouldn't take place until the day after my anniversary, but figured there'd be plenty of other chances to ride. Yesterday, 2 days earlier than promised, I got a message stating that my bike was ready and that I could come pick it up. She looks practically brand new thanks to these magicians who worked such magic!!! Guys...Today is my anniversary. And I'm excited to ride. I want to share a valuable lesson that I had to learn the hard way - do not buy your bikes at Costco or any of these other chain stores, especially if you're going to invest in an electric bike. we got electric bikes at Costco and they were not put together by professional bicycle shop owners and because of that we had to immediately go get a tuneup that cost $200 each , long story short we went to Don's bike shop today and found an electric bike that blows the costco bikes away and it won't need an immediate tune up and it was a fraction of the cost - most importantly, you have the experts on hand to help you with anything that you need any adjustments AND your supporting local businesses which is incredibly important. The owner, Scott could not have been nicer took his time and let us ride the bike in the parking lot explained everything to us such a cool dude. And I feel so bad for not remembering the gentleman's name who helped us load the bike in our car, but he was equally amazing. Just the nicest people ever.
