Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this shop. We were originally given an estimate for how long the repair would take, but it ended up taking significantly longer than we were told. During that time, communication was extremely poor. They rarely answer the phone and did not provide updates about the status of the bike, leaving us to repeatedly try to get information ourselves. When we finally picked up the bike, we discovered that something else was now broken that had not been an issue when we brought it in. We called the shop to explain what happened and asked them to look at it, but instead of trying to address the concern, they were dismissive and unwilling to help. What made the experience even worse was the way we were spoken to. The communication was rude and condescending rather than professional or customer-focused. Mistakes and delays happen, but good customer service means communicating with customers and taking their concerns seriously, especially when a bike comes back with a problem it didn't have before. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I recommend you take your business elsewhere. read more

Instead of providing accurate information, I was told that Wired had gone out of business and was then encouraged to purchase one of their bikes. Instead, they handed the bike back with broken wheel parts and charged us a ridiculous $200 "service fee" for absolutely nothing. What exactly are customers paying for here? Months of wasted time, zero results, poor communication, and damaged parts? The customer service was terrible. The staff acted inexperienced, unprofessional, and completely unable to handle a simple repair or communicate honestly about the situation. Charging customers after failing to fix the bike is unacceptable. We left with the same broken bike, missing time, and an extra $200 bill. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. Want to test ride and feel the wind in your hair like you're in an action movie? They'll hook you up. Have a weirdly specific question about tire pressure or battery range? They'll answer it without making you feel like you just asked them to explain quantum physics. It's no surprise that everyone in El Segundo loves them. You can't walk five feet without spotting someone cruising on an e-bike they got from Cole and Blake. It's basically a rite of passage around here. Thinking about getting another one already--partly because their bikes are awesome and partly because I just like hanging out with these guys. TL;DR E-Ryde SUCKS and so does the ebike brand SUPER 73 E-Ryde is a flytrap for kids. They have all the coolest brands. Some brands are better than others. My son wanted a Super 73. Begged! A $3,000 bike. I asked a different and trusted bike shop nearby about the brand. Bad product, low quality they said. Bad support from the company. You might get lucky and get a good bike with no problems OR a key part like the controller breaks or the motor and it sits in the shop. This is exactly what happened. The controller broke within the first two months. The motor went in mid December. December 18. We got the bike back on February 21. E Ryde over promised and under delivered on the arrival of the part and when the work would be done time and again. The initial turnaround time was roughly two weeks. The bike was under warranty. Could put in the claim for the motor or get it fixed that day - but full price. E Ryde had motors on hand in the shop. Seems to me they should replace the motor up front and then submit the claim. But that's not how they conduct business. That's up to them. I don't like it. Some basic things on the bike were broken. The kickstand. The nuts on the front axle fell off! The left one is different than the left one! The nuts, screws and bolts are proprietary to Super73. I can't just go to Ace Hardware and get new ones. I told them to fix the kickstand on December 18. When I finally came to pick up the bike in February the screw fell out as the employee was taking it out to give it to me! They were going to charge me $40 for labor. Their labor costs are high. When we brought the bike in on December 18 we got hit with a $50 assessment fee and then $75 labor on top of it. Add insult to injury they mis-diagnosed the issue. Super 73 eventually admitted the motor was out of stock. E Ryde defended that. "Super 73 is a popular brand," they said. Ford is a popular brand, they don't have basic parts not in stock. Super 73 let us know the claim came in from E Ryde on January 7 - three weeks from when we first brought it into the shop. I can't tell if E Ryde is incompetent or trying to string us along so we eat into the 1 year warranty. Once the warranty expires we'll be paying about $500 for the motor if it goes again. read more

Can't do a negative five unfortunately. Arrived and was either first or second in this imaginary queue. Walked around the store trying to figure out what we wanted to test out. We were not acknowledged by anyone, but they definitely saw us. It's not a big store you can't miss anyone. Long story short, they helped about 4-5 people that came in after us and when they finally decided to do their job it was just a 5-10 second conversation asking us to sign a waiver. We signed a waiver and sat down. The crowd died down and then I saw one of the kids texting away instead of helping us. I don't believe in supporting businesses that don't deserve it, so we left. Great news is we saved $8k by not purchasing anything... I guess thank you for not trying. read more

I dropped off my Cube Stereo Hybrid on Tuesday, Sept 16, 2025, for basic service: tighten the dropper lever, bleed the brakes, and install new brake pads. I was told it would be ready by Thursday the 18th, but when I called, I was told it would take another 48 hours. Since I needed the bike for Friday the 19th, I asked to pick it up. At the shop, they apologized for the miscommunication and promised it would be finished by the 19th, so I agreed to leave it. When I came back on Friday, the service was unacceptable: The dropper lever was still loose. Instead of fixing it, they zip-tied it. I had to ask them to remove a $10 charge for the dropper lever because they hadn't actually repaired it. When I got home, I tightened the lever myself in minutes. I also discovered the speed controller was left loose and not put back in its original position. After riding, I found the rear tire was not tightened, the brake pads were rubbing the rotor, the gears were not tuned, and the internal bolts were not secured. This level of work is dangerous. A loose rear tire and poorly serviced brakes could have caused a serious crash on a downhill. This is not just poor service; it's unsafe. I had to take my bike-to-Bike Palace in San Pedro, where they corrected all of e-RYDE's mistakes in 10 minutes for $15. The difference was night and day. This shop wasted my time, money, and put my safety at risk. I cannot recommend them under any circumstances. Completely untrustworthy. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE for maintenance. read more

My neighbor recommended this shop to build my ebike. When we went in, they were very inattentive. Then I asked them how much and they gave me a very reasonable price. This was a Saturday. They told me they could have it done in a few days specifically Tuesday or Wednesday. I didn't her from them. Then on Thursday I called. They said maybe Friday or Saturday. I called on Friday about 2 pm and they said it was done. I arranged to come pick it up after work on Friday. When I got there, there was only a very young guy there. He acted confused. I said my bike was done. I paid him and he couldn't find my bike. Then I found it. He gave me the bike with no comments instructions, nothing. I rode it home (a short distance) on the way the seat collapsed, the mirrors were not tight, the headlight was not tight and the brakes were not adjusted. But I dealt with all of that. I rode it a week later and one brake was dragging, and the power shut off. (AI said it's probably because the brakes were never adjusted. I couldn't ride it home because it had no power and the brake was dragging. Someone had to come get me and the bike. These people are lousy and negligent. I'm getting someone else to repair it because I don't trust this shop at all. I may sue them. read more

Took a battery in for repair. They said no problem and it would likely be ready in a couple of days. A week goes by and nothing. I call and they tell me it can't be fixed. I thank them and appreciative. Now I plan to buy a new lock and helmet from them. Now, two weeks later, I get an email (and a phone call) telling me it can't be repaired and I owe $50 for an "assessment." Zero mention of any such fee upfront or when I called to check status. Awful way to do business and now I understand why a friend told me to stay away. Shame as I can literally walk there and could have made it my go-to. read more

I took my bike to e-ryde for a tune up twice. The first time I called on Thursday and asked to make an appointment. They said they do walk-ins no appointments. So I went there and I was told that they can do a 1-day turnaround, with very limited exceptions a 2-day turnaround. I showed up at their location in El Segundo at 10:58 on friday July 12th. That same day I called at 5:30 asking if my bike would be ready before 6 they stated no and they would call me. On Saturday July 13th I called them around 2pm asking if it would be ready they said it had two bikes in front of it in the queue and to come at closing and it would be ready. I showed up at 5:30 and they stated they were sorry but they didn't get to it so I took it back and rode home. I firmly believe in second chances so I went back on Wednesday July 17th at 11:03am and told them bluntly I need a same day turn around they said we remember you we are so sorry yes absolutely come by anytime after 2pm and it will be ready. I returned at 5:30 and they hadn't completed the maintenance and stated just give us til 6:30. At 6:10 I was told it was completed and to pay. In their notes they stated they lubricated the said tightened bolts and check air pressure. My bike is a belt driven bike and lubricating the belt actually damages it. I checked my belt and sure enough it had lubricant on it. In addition the mechanic that worked on my bike loosened the bike hydraulic lines to the point where it began to leak on my on my way home and I had to stop and do emergency fixing on the side of the road. This cost me $150.00! Please don't take your bike here if you value its longevity or if you value your money. They don't value their customers time and the staff is very short tempered when you point out any issues. Even though propel is all the way in Long Beach I'll be taking my bike there to fix the damage e-ryde has done. If they reach out I will update my review as appropriate read more

These guys are great. Craig and Brandon are very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. My RAD got stolen and recovered by the El Segundo police (thank you, they are also great). It needed a ton of work and Craig took it upon himself to deal with Rad (they don't sell Rad, but they service them) and was determined to get it back to where it was previously. Took a while because getting the right parts from Rad took time but he was determined and got it done and done well. My next bike purchase will definitely be made at e-RYDE and appreciate Craig's knowledge and determination. Before you buy a bike, stop in and see them they have a great selection to choose from. THE WORST SERVICE EVER! I dropped my son's bike off on December 5th, not once have I received communication from anyone. Not a call, email or text on the status. Ive called several times, no one answers. I came to the shop over a week ago and spoke to Craig or Greg to express my frustration and find out whats wrong with the bike, what parts were needed etc. He confirmed nothing has been done and he would call and follow up with the manufacturer again. He stated he was the supervisor and assured me I would receive a call from him later that evening with a more elaborate update. He failed to keep that promise. Over a week later and still NO COMMUNICATION. Tomorrow I will pick up my son's bike and will not be paying anything. I dont care what or what hasn't been done. This has to be the most disappointing and unprofessional service I have ever received. As a small business owner myself regardless of business volume, staff coverage or mishaps, this type of service is unacceptable. read more

They claim it's not their ability to get parts back in time or even demanding this from the manufacturer and we have sat months waiting. When they do finally get the part they charge us to have it fixed... it breaks a week later. Just want to rave about Cole and the guys at e-RYDE! My family and I came in to buy one bike. We tried four different bikes and the team made their best judgement on which bike looked sturdy and safest. We ended up chosing the Murf Gigi in bone. We loved the service, timing and quality care we received and returned to purchase the Murf Gigi in sage. Once again, we were greeted by name and quick service by Cole. A couple weeks later, after loving our Gigi bikes, we returned once again to buy another bike. Cole helped us try different bikes, different seats, and showed us other frames on the computer. We chose the Murf Higgs and once again the bike came quickly. Cole called us, and greeted us with a smile when we arrived. Reading through some of these comments upsets me as each time we went there (more than 3 times) this place was packed and the phone was always politely answered, even though the guys were with customers, and they spent quality time with each customer. I am so confused my husband has taken his e-bike Tricycle to get it fix. And within the month. Same problem. The charge was 217.12 and today we had to pay more money for the same problem. It seems to me their taking advantage of my husband because he is handicap. Not good at all. He got his tricycle back and right away same noise. I honestly think they're not doing anything to his bike just charging him money. And apparently the owner talks to my husband very rude. Maybe because he is racist not good at all.
