Sean does a great job on Ebikes

This bike shop is a good one because the owner is super friendly and has a lot of knowledge. His name is Sean and this is definitely the place you want to go for your E bikes to be purchased. There's no doubt my friends and I will be back more in the future!

....our family took an awesome 34 miles round trip ebiking trip on the Marvin Braud trail and got to see most of the LA coastal cities....Sean was awesome, friendly, and very knowledgeable of the whole area.....i would give this tour a 5+ stars if i could....he has several different tours in LA and OC and i highly highly recommend his service to anybody who would like to explore LA on ebikes....

I have an e-bike o didn't get it one from you guys I got it online but the thing is I got a messed up tire and I was wondering if I can still take it in?

Yes, you could drop it off for a free estimate Wednesday through Sunday of this week 10 AM until 5 PM

I might buy a rear wheel assembly, do you ship to Bay area? Charges?

Sorry, at this time we don’t have any rear wheel assemblies for any of the electric bikes

    Do you repair bikes?

We only work on electric bikes and the brands that we sell unless it’s just a flat tire

The beach trail was fantastic. The lady there was really thorough and good about explaining how to use the bike, points of interests and events going on by the beach, and answering our questions. She spoke clearly and at a slower pace so we really understood everything well. The bikes were cruiser-style bikes. They sell e-bikes as well and had many on sale. The bad: They don't have options for kids' seats or trailers. The interesting: There's no age requirement but you have to be at least 4'10" (?) ish or taller to ride their bikes. They'll give you a bike based on your height. You're given a bike lock as well. The basket in the front is stuck to the frame so it doesn't move with the direction of the front wheel. You only need a pedal assist of 1 for the beach because it's flat but it can go all the way up to 9. Helmets are optional.

I loved that a helmet, lock and basket was included with the price, other places charge for those extras. They charge $15 per hour for beach cruisers and hybrid bikes until your duration exceeds three hours. Then, your cost stays at $45 for the rest of the day until store closing. Before renting the bikes, one of us needed to provide an ID and card to place on file. Fortunately, they had parking just for customers. The staff also provided us a basket and lock without an extra charge. The bikes got us a little further than expected to Dockweiler Beach near LAX. The hybrid bikes allowed us to shift gears, which made cycling on slight inclines easier. The rental costs weren't too expensive, and we had a great time using the bikes to travel about 13.5 miles round-trip. When leaving the parking lot, we needed to stay vigilant of the cyclists passing us on N. Harbor Dr.'s dedicated bike lane.

It held for awhile, but he explained I needed the steel bead for the back tire to catch in the rim to keep it firmly in place, so I went ahead and ordered one and he was right. It was so easy install (no manual manipulating needed at all) and it works like a charm.

I haven't had a 'flat tire' in many decades, but it happens when you least expect it. What caused…read moreit is a mystery, because the bike wasn't being ridden, but stationary indoors. When I removed the inner tube, I discovered a puncture. The rubber liner for the rim that cushions the tube from the spokes was not worn out and still intact. I happen to have some of those 'self-adhesive, round, rubber patches' [SKABS + generic brand from TEMU] and gave them both a try. Neither of them worked, but SKABS was the better of the two options. So, this brings me to buying a new inner tube, but from where and how much do they cost these days. I drove to Walmart, but they didn't stock 20" x 3.0. A nearby bike shop that I know apparently went out of business or moved. So, I decided to do an online search for other shops in my area and located two. Torrance Bikes was the closest. I also did online shopping to get an idea of what it might cost. Walmart.com $12.15; Amazon $16.88 (for 2); TEMU (China) $12.63 (included bonus of 2 tire/rim levers for the job); TEMU (Local Warehouse) $6.72 'Lightning Deal' ($3 shipping or Free w/ $30 purchase). I drove to Torrance Bikes and it cost $15.99 for the inner tube. Although the price was more than I hoped for, I bought it because 'time is money' (i.e., convenience is a factor to consider). I didn't want to wait for delivery, nor worry that a 'porch pirate' might steal it. Torrance Bikes appears to be a small, family owned shop. Judging by their crowded inventory, e-Bikes rentals, sales, & repairs seems to be the trend. The young man that helped me was friendly & competent. The replacement inner tube is on my bike and life is good.

This store is huge and had a lot of merchandise for different sports. There were 2 floors and we were assisted by a friendly associate who pulled our online order. We assumed the item might've sold out, no longer in stock, or just bad inventory all around. We decided to go in the store to get what we needed. We asked the cashier what happened with our order and he had no idea. We asked if they had it in stock or if another location had it. They went to check and luckily there was one Betts Jersey left in my size. We also signed up to get $20 off purchases of $100 or more. We did all that at the store and when it came to checking out, it turns out the coupon wasn't available until after a few days or something. We ended paying full price, no problem. The manager explained to us, if we wanted, we could bring the jersey back and repurchase after we got the coupon to get that $20 back. I didn't get the coupon until a week later which was to expire in 2 days. I went back to the store with the coupon forgetting that the $20 was actually NOT a free $20 off anything. It was $20 off ANOTHER purchase for $100+. So basically, a trick to get you to buy more, which I didn't end up using. The coupon wasn't quite clear and tricky to be honest. Beware of those marketing schemes and ads you see online or in store! The only upside was that the staff were very understanding and helpful. We went back looking for another shirt but they didn't have it in stock and they were nice enough to call the El Segundo location to hold the item for us. We went to that location, picked up the item easily, and there were no issues. Just keep an eye on the sales and ads -- and know what you're really getting. Another suggestion for this store is to keep better inventory. There had a ton of the same stuff but limited in other areas.
