We checked both Google and Yelp and decided to rent our bikes from Beach E-Bikes. They are located on the upper level of Redondo Beach Pier. There were a couple of customers there when we arrived. Al asked us to fill out the waiver form online, and the process was fast and easy. Oh, and once you fill it out, you don't have to do it again next time you come back to rent a bike. Nice! After we finished everything, we followed Al outside to get our bikes. He explained everything clearly and was super friendly. This was actually my first time riding an e-bike. I struggled a little in the beginning, but after a while, I got used to it and everything went smoothly. The ride was SO nice! We rode from Redondo Beach to Hermosa Beach and then all the way to Manhattan Beach. The breeze, the ocean views, and the bike path not being too crowded made the whole experience even better. We stopped at Hermosa Beach for some ice cream, then continued to Manhattan Beach Pier and checked out the free aquarium. So much fun!! We rented the bikes for two hours and were actually able to do everything within that time. But next time, we will probably rent them for four hours so we can take our time, chill, and maybe grab a bite at Hermosa Beach. Al also told us not to stress too much about the time. Even if we go over the two hours, we can easily extend the rental when we return. No hassle, no rushing, no stress! We went on a Thursday, so I'm pretty sure it gets busier on the weekends. We all had such a great time! Definitely one of the highlights of our Redondo Beach trip. We will for sure come back to Beach E-Bikes again. Next time, four hours! More riding, more food, more chilling! And of course, we'll say hi to Al!

I thought that was awesome because everywhere else they want 80 and up. I came today with the bike and was told 20 for the inter tube and 45 for repair cost. I was vey upset because I was told different and the reason I came was because of the price. After complaining the owner Steve stepped in and offer to fix my bike at the price I was quoted before. I thought that was excellent customer service. Why loose a potential long time customer for a few bucks and a misunderstanding. I really appreciate Steve for helping me. This place is awesome they have a wide variety of options for bikes and accessories. They also have reasonable prices they have e-bikes worth a thousand or more on sale for hundreds . They charge $15 per hour for beach cruisers and hybrid bikes until your duration exceeds three hours. Then, your cost stays at $45 for the rest of the day until store closing. Before renting the bikes, one of us needed to provide an ID and card to place on file. Fortunately, they had parking just for customers. The staff also provided us a basket and lock without an extra charge. The bikes got us a little further than expected to Dockweiler Beach near LAX. The hybrid bikes allowed us to shift gears, which made cycling on slight inclines easier. The rental costs weren't too expensive, and we had a great time using the bikes to travel about 13.5 miles round-trip. When leaving the parking lot, we needed to stay vigilant of the cyclists passing us on N. Harbor Dr.'s dedicated bike lane.

Luckily they have a policy that allows you to bring back the bike as late as 9 PM and chain it to the gate outside even when the business has closed for a small fee ($15) The bikes were $20 each, we chose the upgraded model with gearshifting, there was also an option for $15 that had only one speed. Everything was great. The bike was perfect and did exactly what we wanted, we rode around until about 8:30 and had no issues bringing it back. Very Disappointing Customer Service Experience…read more I had a very unpleasant experience with a member of the leadership team named Billy during a recent visit to the Dick's Sporting Goods at Del Amo. I attempted to return a pair of youth cleats that were still in new condition. They showed no signs of wear on the soles--only a small amount of dust from my child trying them on briefly on a dirt field. The cleats were black, making the dust more noticeable. I purchased them just 27 days earlier and had my original receipt. According to the return policy printed on the receipt, returns are accepted for items in new condition. Billy immediately refused both a refund and even a store credit. Because he was the acting leader, I requested to speak with the store manager. Billy seemed reluctant to involve the manager, but I insisted. Store Manager Val inspected the cleats himself. He explained that worn shoes are generally not eligible for return, but after examining the cleats and confirming they were still in new condition and within the 30-day return window, he approved a store credit. What disappointed me most wasn't the policy--it was Billy's customer service. Throughout the interaction, he had a dismissive attitude, made very little eye contact, appeared irritated whenever I asked a question, and showed no interest in resolving the situation professionally. Those are qualities I would not expect from someone in a leadership position. I appreciate Manager Val for taking the time to inspect the item and applying the return policy fairly. Unfortunately, Billy's approach made what should have been a simple return into an unnecessarily frustrating experience.
