Thank you so much to Moises, Bill and the entire team that was working today! This is my second time getting my yearly tune up here, and I always feel like they are never trying to scam or up charge me. They are also willing to educate a novice rider like me and answer my questions. I get the impression that they really want me to be satisfied with how my bike performs after my service. Also, the turn around time was only a few hours despite their being busy! See you again next year! read more

First time in this shop was recommended by an expert in the area and he was right fantastic service Miles and Moses were awesome and treated me like I was already a regular. Upfront about pricing and timing they were super busy and I can see why but they still made me feel like a priority! read more

Laziest shop around. Tried to get some work done and was told "oh thats harder, we dont do that". Not that they couldn't, or would charge extra.....but they only want to do easy work. Never seen a business turn down a customer because the work is "harder". Most would simply charge accordingly. Aparantly this shop doesnt like to work and just want to sell you things. Wish I could give zero stars since I received zero customer service. By the way....this "hard" work....was installing a set of tires on a bike thats been worked on at several other shops that had no issues. They are simply lazy and only want easy work. Would not reccomend. read more

Came here on a holiday to rent a bike, it wasn't too busy and I was helped out by Moses! He was very friendly, informative, and helped me pick out the best rental for 3+ hours. I went with the comfort bike and it was $30 for a daily rate, otherwise it would be $10 per hour, until you reach 3+ hours and it would then get charged for the daily rate. This was the best deal and still very close to the beach where bike rentals can be more expensive. You can either choose to bike to the beach area from here (Redondo, Manhattan, Torrance, Hermosa) or you can use it on a bike rack to get to your destination. My husband has his own bike rack so I just rented the comfort for the day. Conveniently located in Torrance Blvd which leads you to the Redondo Beach area ASAP. Also located by the Del Amo fashion center which is the hot spot mall for all things food and shopping. They have a separate store for bike purchase and you can always ask the staff about renting vs purchasing if you're in the market for a bike. Really easy to book with them in person, and you can also book online to save time. I would definitely recommend this shop to friends and family for day bike rental needs, whether for fun or for a planned beach and bike day! Thank you Juan and Moses for your help! read more

Best bike shop I have found so far. My biggest issue with other shops is lack of communication, and these guys are very professional, Thanks for your service! read more

I haven't had a 'flat tire' in many decades, but it happens when you least expect it. What caused it is a mystery, because the bike wasn't being ridden, but stationary indoors. When I removed the inner tube, I discovered a puncture. The rubber liner for the rim that cushions the tube from the spokes was not worn out and still intact. I happen to have some of those 'self-adhesive, round, rubber patches' [SKABS + generic brand from TEMU] and gave them both a try. Neither of them worked, but SKABS was the better of the two options. So, this brings me to buying a new inner tube, but from where and how much do they cost these days. I drove to Walmart, but they didn't stock 20" x 3.0. A nearby bike shop that I know apparently went out of business or moved. So, I decided to do an online search for other shops in my area and located two. Torrance Bikes was the closest. I also did online shopping to get an idea of what it might cost. Walmart.com $12.15; Amazon $16.88 (for 2); TEMU (China) $12.63 (included bonus of 2 tire/rim levers for the job); TEMU (Local Warehouse) $6.72 'Lightning Deal' ($3 shipping or Free w/ $30 purchase). I drove to Torrance Bikes and it cost $15.99 for the inner tube. Although the price was more than I hoped for, I bought it because 'time is money' (i.e., convenience is a factor to consider). I didn't want to wait for delivery, nor worry that a 'porch pirate' might steal it. Torrance Bikes appears to be a small, family owned shop. Judging by their crowded inventory, e-Bikes rentals, sales, & repairs seems to be the trend. The young man that helped me was friendly & competent. The replacement inner tube is on my bike and life is good. read more

Great guys. Went in after Christmas for my daughter's bike to get a bell that Santa brought her and some new grips. She was super excited when she told them that they ended up doing it for no charge. Everytime we go by the shop she comments on the shop and how they put her Santa presents on her bike. read more

Very good my sons ebike broke down a few times but they fixed it even in 15-20 minutes

I've been working on this bike myself for quite a long time and I finally decided to take it back to them. This is the second time I returned and it was an incredible experience, as it was before. Honest, fair process and speedy service. They had to do quite a bit to my bike and they got it done within two hours of me dropping it off and I had expected it to be days. This bike means so much to me, and it brought me so much joy and gave me the biggest smile that I've had in a long time. For that, I'm eternally grateful and everyone should be taking their bikes or buying one from Torrance bikes. read more

Super nice guys. I had a back tire on my electric bike that kept edging out of the rim and he got it back in nicely, which wasn't easy. It took brute strength. It held for awhile, but he explained I needed the steel bead for the back tire to catch in the rim to keep it firmly in place, so I went ahead and ordered one and he was right. It was so easy install (no manual manipulating needed at all) and it works like a charm. read more

I haven't ridden a bike in decades but with a new dog I wanted to be able take him out for a run while I pedal on the bike. I told John what my requirements are and he gave me his recommendation. The bike ended up going to my sister and I came back for the same version but smaller and I'm so happy with both. Thank you John and Moses! read more

Juan the manager was soooo helpful today after I got a flat in my e-bike a few miles from home. I let him know I was in a hurry and, as soon as he had a repair rack available, he did the tube replacement himself to save me time. He also gave me a very fair price for emergency repair, under original quote. Torrance Bikes is a great local shop for rentals, repairs and sales read more

I'm a visitor from Pennsylvania and was in need of a respectable road bike for a REAL ride outside of the beach path and tourist zones. I love riding along the coast on Palos Verdes Dr and the inclines and this shop delivered huge! If the selection you choose does not show up online you can always inquire by call or at the shop and they provided me the perfect bike for a top tier ride. I would recommend this for anyone who couldn't fly out with their own road bike and is willing to pay up for a rental! read more

Great Service! Spoke to someone on the phone, explained that I just bought the bike from someone. I wanted them to look it over and recommended, if I needed a tune-up or replace anything. Brought it in, told me all I needed was their minor service and one set of disc brakes. Quoted me like 55.00 for everything, came back and bike rode beautiful. They even called to let me know, it was ready! Thanks again! read more

Our favorite bike shop in the SouthBay area. Great price to service an ebike after a minor crash. Torrance Bikes completed all the repairs, fully checked it for safety, and gave recommendations for maintenance. Another local shop held the bike for 7 days, then decided they couldn't replace the hydraulic fluid in the brakes (mechanic said he didn't recognize the brand) and began to up-sell new brakes for $190 a piece. Best part - we have a new favorite Bike shop we can count on for friendly, honest, and experienced service - they even have a separate showroom full of new bikes and rentals. They do it all and it's all good! read more

Very friendly staff and great quality bikes. For it being near the coast of Southern California, the day rate was fair and they offer a discount for airline crew. Wife and I rode up to Santa Monica. We will be back to do it again. read more

Very nice staff, patient and thorough. Pricing for a cable brake replacement was very fair especially consisting how overpriced some places are in the South Bay. They worked quickly and we're done before the promised completion time. The staff was very nice and did a great job making the lines better while replacing them. I'll be back for more bike repairs. read more

Looking around for a new bike and shop and ran across these guys. Walked out with 2 new bikes, not an ounce of sale pressure. Just questioned answered and opinions given. Nice bike shop with excellent bike mechanics. I recently bought a Batch road bike here for half the price I would have spent on most beginner bikes. Thank you Miles for helping me select this awesome hybrid road bike. I also recommend having your bike serviced here. After a few hundred miles, I brought the bike in for an initial tune-up and asked Rick about options to make the bike faster. Rick was extremely knowledgeable and spent some time discussing how I could improve the bike. He recommended and replaced the tires, which has made a huge difference with the bike's handling and acceleration. We discussed some other work that I will be back for. Rick also made some adjustments and the bike is now shifting much smoother without chain noise. read more

12/19/2022 My bicycle's front tire had an air leakage problem, and I took the bike to Torrance Bikes for repair. The experience was chill and clear. The employees were nice, and the service was fast and affordable. The mechanic wasn't there until 9 am, so I waited by eating at Denny's nearby. I paid $22.69 for repairs, so it wasn't bad. Overall, I'd recommend their services, and I will go again if my bike has any more problems. :) - Miguel Oliveros, local Torrance citizen read more

Great staff, great service! Went to this local bike shop on a Sunday afternoon to repair a flat tire. I was the only one there, so they paused from their current job and fixed it right away! I brought the tire in by itself so it only took about 5-10 minutes and price for inner tube and repair was reasonable and fair. Always happy to support local businesses. This is now my go to bike repair shop. read more

Review update: The owner of T-Bikes replied to my review with an invite to make things right. I met Juan at T-Bikes this afternoon. He looked into my claims with concern and professionalism and quickly found my transaction from 5 months ago. I showed him the tube that was installed by his tech and he immediately could see the issue and said he would look into how this could happen. Juan kept his word, he did make it right. I was given a refund and a store credit for the inconvenience. Thank you Juan. We'll see you again soon. read more

Had a wonderful experience at Torrance Bikes today. My 5-year-old's bike was riding oddly, so we took it into the shop for a look. The guys knew right away how to fix the issue and then went above and beyond by tightening parts and adding extra air. I called Torrance Bikes regarding a tricycle that I had bought in Offer Up. One of the gears was not working properly. They said that they did not really work on trikes due to liability but to bring it over anyway. They said that they COULD work on it since the issue is with gears. I was so happy. They were able to fix the issue and then pointed out that the bike could use a tune up. I decided to go ahead with it and they gave me a discount. Great! After the tune up, there was a little sound and they wanted to wait for the expert to come and check it out. I thought it was very honest of them to not just give up on it but seek help from a more knowledgeable person. They were extremely throughtout and even took it for a test ride. I definitely felt so much safer after they fixed all the minor issues. I will definitely come back for anything my trike will need. read more
