(to give you a visual) womp, womp. Jake assessed the "project" to determine that it wasn't fit for me to ride, which made me feel safe that I was in good hands as he was looking out for my well-being - LOVE THAT! Love you, Jake!!! You're my boy blue. The repairs were costly at first, and he made it work within my budget. Full transparency (asking questions) and good communication go a long way and keep the peace (note to everyone). I am soooo beyond grateful that he knew what was needed and took care of it all within just two days! Attentive, fast, and thorough - calling to share updates along the way. (No one likes financial surprises, so that was kind on my wallet). Also, upon pickup, Kevin noticed my seat was too low and hiked it up to the height that was appropriate for my leg/knee length - thank you, Kevin! 5 stars and 5 snaps! If your bike is broken... this is where you go without a doubt. You're welcome. Thanks again, Jake & Kevin!

They charge $15 per hour for beach cruisers and hybrid bikes until your duration exceeds three hours. Then, your cost stays at $45 for the rest of the day until store closing. Before renting the bikes, one of us needed to provide an ID and card to place on file. Fortunately, they had parking just for customers. The staff also provided us a basket and lock without an extra charge. The bikes got us a little further than expected to Dockweiler Beach near LAX. The hybrid bikes allowed us to shift gears, which made cycling on slight inclines easier. The rental costs weren't too expensive, and we had a great time using the bikes to travel about 13.5 miles round-trip. When leaving the parking lot, we needed to stay vigilant of the cyclists passing us on N. Harbor Dr.'s dedicated bike lane.

We checked both Google and Yelp and decided to rent our bikes from Beach E-Bikes. They are located on the upper level of Redondo Beach Pier. There were a couple of customers there when we arrived. Al asked us to fill out the waiver form online, and the process was fast and easy. Oh, and once you fill it out, you don't have to do it again next time you come back to rent a bike. Nice! After we finished everything, we followed Al outside to get our bikes. He explained everything clearly and was super friendly. This was actually my first time riding an e-bike. I struggled a little in the beginning, but after a while, I got used to it and everything went smoothly. The ride was SO nice! We rode from Redondo Beach to Hermosa Beach and then all the way to Manhattan Beach. The breeze, the ocean views, and the bike path not being too crowded made the whole experience even better. We stopped at Hermosa Beach for some ice cream, then continued to Manhattan Beach Pier and checked out the free aquarium. So much fun!! We rented the bikes for two hours and were actually able to do everything within that time. But next time, we will probably rent them for four hours so we can take our time, chill, and maybe grab a bite at Hermosa Beach. Al also told us not to stress too much about the time. Even if we go over the two hours, we can easily extend the rental when we return. No hassle, no rushing, no stress! We went on a Thursday, so I'm pretty sure it gets busier on the weekends. We all had such a great time! Definitely one of the highlights of our Redondo Beach trip. We will for sure come back to Beach E-Bikes again. Next time, four hours! More riding, more food, more chilling! And of course, we'll say hi to Al!

Luckily they have a policy that allows you to bring back the bike as late as 9 PM and chain it to the gate outside even when the business has closed for a small fee ($15) The bikes were $20 each, we chose the upgraded model with gearshifting, there was also an option for $15 that had only one speed. Everything was great. The bike was perfect and did exactly what we wanted, we rode around until about 8:30 and had no issues bringing it back. The next morning we received an email confirming everything was received and closing out our transaction. Definitely would use this place again

Last week we dropped off my e-bike for a tune up service. I received my bike 3 days later as promised (2-3 days). The cost was a good value. After my e-bike was serviced it rode better than when it was brand new. The one thing I really don't like is having to leave my bike on the sidewalk. No one is officially tending to the bikes. They're just sitting there. They are a small operation and don't have the proper amount of space. My husband they did secure his e-bike to a parking meter when he dropped his off but he still felt uncomfortable about his bike on the sidewalk. What if someone crashes into it. We sign waivers that release them of responsibility blah blah blah. So we'd be happier if we had our bikes within the safe confines of their bike shop.
