We rented e-bikes in 2024 for my family visiting. We all rode The Strand and had a good fun time. The bikes performed well and the customer service was friendly. Last week we dropped off my e-bike for a tune up service. I received my bike 3 days later as promised (2-3 days). The cost was a good value. After my e-bike was serviced it rode better than when it was brand new. The one thing I really don't like is having to leave my bike on the sidewalk. No one is officially tending to the bikes. They're just sitting there. They are a small operation and don't have the proper amount of space. My husband they did secure his e-bike to a parking meter when he dropped his off but he still felt uncomfortable about his bike on the sidewalk. What if someone crashes into it. We sign waivers that release them of responsibility blah blah blah. So we'd be happier if we had our bikes within the safe confines of their bike shop. read more

Very quick process to get our rented bikes! We got the manual bikes with the foot brakes. They were definitely used, and the foot brake felt weak, but they did their job! We were given clear directions from the shop on where to walk with the bikes until we reached the bike lanes at the beach. It was a tad difficult due to the steep walk down so definitely take your time. Enjoyed the stunning views of the beach for 2 hours and biked all the way to Hermosa beach and back. Ideally would like to leave this place a 2,5 star. The staff there are nice enough for a busy business. I have used this business for 2 repairs, once for e-scooter and another for an e-bike. Reason for lower rating is based on several factors impacting my recent experience. 1) I took my e-bike in for a tube repair, and saw painted on the window a large advertisement for a $99 e-bike tune-up. I thought it was a good offer and thought I would go ahead and do this also. I got a text for final cost and it was $139 for the tune up, I had to follow up several times to price fixed. 2) On the website, it advertises $10 discount for any services of $100+ for South Bay residents. This was not applied on the invoice either and when I asked about it, the staff member said he doesn't know anything about this deal but was nice enough to provide the discount. I dislike confrontation and don't think the customer should need to haggle for each advertised promotion. 3) Bike took approx. one week to fix, I was advised that that would work on it the same day. After 4 days I called I was advised they were waiting on parts so it will take a bit more time. They charge a $25/day storage fee if you do not pick up within 3-4 days after the bike is repaired so I wanted to be sure that i pick this up promptly hence the follow up call. Would be better if store kept their customer's informed of any delays. 4) I will have to bring my bike in again, they have a 30 service warranty and the front wheel is squeaking when moving. read more

I just got finished with a ride from Manhattan Beach to Santa Monica. I had the best time ever! I rented my bike here and I am so glad I did. Customer service was excellent. They had a large selection of bikes. They offered free helmet and each bike had a spacious pouch to store personal items and a stand for phones. The bikes are new and in excellent condition. I was nervous about riding an e-bike, but Scott, my bike attendant explained how to work the bike and assured me I wouldn't have an issue and if I did, they were readily available to help. What was great was that I only rented the bikes for 2 hours, and they made it so easy to extend rental time. No need to call, just text to ask for more time and they calculate the extra time whenever you get back. No need to rush back to not get charged extra as long as you text them! I rented a beach cruiser and kid trailer for me and my 2-year-old. The bike was very beat up, but I figured it would be able to handle a quick ride down to Redondo and back. The bike didn't even make it through Hermosa. While I was pedaling, the chain fell off the gear and I was left stranded. Had the company been willing to cover the charge of my Uber to get back to my car, I would have brushed this off to an unfortunate mishap. Instead, they were unwilling to refund the $25 it cost me to get back to my car, claiming I should have paid for insurance despite this malfunction being due to THEIR faulty bike. Never going to rent with them again, and hope you don't either. read more

Good place to rent boardwalk cruise bikes, they also have electric and other options to choose. The service was excellent, the price was a little bit above what I was expecting but not overpriced either, my front tire was a bit deflated but I was able to ride it comfortably. Just be careful going down the hill towards the beach these bikes don't have handbrakes and they are very tricky when trying to slow down, they should warn you to walk the bike all the way down to the beach, but also that'll take about 10-15 minutes off your rental time. read more

Great bike rental spot near the beach bike path. We got a couple a lite e-bikes. Super simple process. It took us 5 minutes from walking in the store to being on our way. The staff is friendly and helpful with advice. The bikes worked great and had a great couple hours riding. If you're driving, the parking in northern are of Manhattan beach is easier than many of the beaches. Definitely recommend. read more

Great staff, good bikes, convenient location with street parking and public parking across the street. Had a great ride to Palos Verdes. Prices are high and they even charge extra for a bike lock and there is a small added "fee" on top of tax.
