My kids and I stopped by yesterday to rent an e-bike for the first time. Staff was very friendly and took the time to give us a brief overview of how to manage bikes. It was an hour to closing and they still let us rent (for one hour) which we were very grateful for (another bike shop nearby refused to let us rent so close to closing). Worst customer service I've experienced in a while. Had an issue with my e-bike battery, so of course I looked up a local e-bike shop. I had a few simple questions, which the man who I assumed was the owner, was not only incapable of answering, but he seemed annoyed to even be bothered. This was at noon on a Wednesday, while the town was dead, not a soul around, not during busy hours. I asked if there was another shop that was capable of diagnosing the problem, and he said no, nobody would be able to help me because I was dumb enough to buy a "junk bike". I asked him why he was being so rude, and he told me to "F*** off". I was honestly dumbstruck. How does a place like this have any good ratings? Maybe this was a one off, but damn. I almost never leave reviews on yelp, but I felt like I had no choice. I'm not an expert on e-bikes, I'm just a dad concerned with safety when I take my daughter out. There's no good reason to treat a potential customer like an idiot, and then tell them to F off. Unacceptable. read more

Trick eBikes Review Took me some time to contemplate if I should even write this review or not, because it is not the review I had hoped to leave, but here I Am. On a rainy day I took my bike to this shop, and was greeted by the owner Clint, whom was expecting me. Right away I was very impressed with his decent array of eBikes, and the homey feeling of this small mom & pop type shop. The owner Clint and I, had spoken previously about the repairs I was looking to receive, and when I arrived, this was reiterated. Even better, once I found out I could buy the flat prevention tire liner, I was thrilled even more, me having chosen this shop for my repairs. I also liked that the work would be completed same day. This really was turning out to be my new go-to bike shop. Well after a few hours, the work was completed. I gladly paid my bill for services rendered, and even offered him a Tip, especially since he had a bit of unforeseen difficulty, putting everything back together on my bike's rear wheel. He declined the tip, but still, I thought it appropriate to at least offer anyways. The bill total seemed a bit exorbitant, and rather shocking, at $216.82, for his time, labor, and materials, changing a tire, adding a tire liner plus inner tube, and doing a gear adjustment, but since I liked the guy, and cared to support his small shop, then sure. Where things went Left... So due to the rainy conditions on the actual day of the repair, I wasn't able to test ride my bike at all, however on the following day I was, and so I jumped on it and headed on down to the bike shop to show it off to Clint, and to also reconnect with him, in the hopes of building a relationship with my new go-to bike repair guy. As I got near his business on The Strand, I began to pedal and shift through the gears. That's when I noticed my bike was not shifting from 3rd to 4th gear, but since I'm near the shop anyways, it shouldn't be anything Clint wouldn't be able to fine tune, after-all, it is understandable, how this small, yet somewhat complex type of adjustment could require a bit of fine tuning or tweaking. I arrived at the shop, somewhere between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m., Clint wasn't busy and had no customers. I was happy to see him, for all of the reasons stated above. We had small talk and I was able to show him my bike with it's fitted accessories, and express my satisfaction in his work. I eventually got around to mentioning the gear shifting problem, to which Clint immediately replied, he "could not touch my bike." He then goes on to tell me, he was feeling sick, and that he had an engagement later, after work. Talk about deflated!!! I remained gracious upon hearing this, yet surreptitiously very sorely disappointed in THAT particular response of his. Things became awkwardly uncomfortable by this time, me now realizing he ultimately does not value me or my business, because he would have the unmitigated gall to turn me down flat, after just paying, the day before. Needless to say, his lack of integrity to stand behind his work, was absolutely flooring, however still, I merely continued to have a few more minutes of small talk with him, in the hopes that maybe he would eventually get around to suggesting perhaps I return at a later time, but that never happened. Instead, I got the feeling I was not welcomed back, perhaps due to the difficulty he seemed to have with the repair, but after paying full freight, plus my offer to add a Tip, and my having every intention to help grow a small business by becoming a regular customer, this is the response he gives me, on what should have only been a minor adjustment. I thought it was pretty shitty of him to not stand behind his work. So with that being said, I'd rather spend my money, being a valued member at REI, where they honor their warranty on repairs, while providing stellar customer satisfaction. read more

We dropped off our Rad E-Bike to have a tune-up service (long overdue) for shifting and brake adjustments, chain clean or replacement if recommended. They took care of everything in a very timely manner and the bike now performs better than new! Cost was extremely fair and I was not oversold on any parts (chain or cables did not need to be replaced). Honest work with great results! I would recommend to my own family and friends! read more

Like Santa's Workshop. Little on the outside but jam packed with extraordinary toys inside. Wonder selection of e-bikes and you just don't get service like this anywhere these days. Growing up in the south bay shopping here reminds me of the old days when my mom would take me into "town" to buy everything. No big malls and sales people who have no idea what they are selling. This place has every quality brand of ebike plus new brands that I have never seen anywhere but online. A wonderful selection and the friendly staff knows is more than knowledgeable about the mechanical aspects and safety. I would honestly not recommend any other place to purchase a ebike. I have a family of five and two of my children got bikes other places. After dealing with this business I am a loyal customer.
